I was watching some chatroom a few days ago and when someone joined the room, to my delight, I heard a clip from Going Under. I looked into it and aol has added 9 evanescence clips to their Buddy Sound Repitoir! They're from BMTL, GU, and MI, but they're still pretty awesome. If you have aol, it's in the second pop music section of Music in buddy sounds. If you don't have aol (I envy you:p ) then you have no idea what any of this means.

Now if only they'd get an Eva buddy icon or two:( ...

I know this has been mentioned/discussed somewhere here before. The sounds have been available for a while now. The clips aren't that great, but at least there's something I guess. I was using "Wake Me Up" for a pretty long time, but I'm using the first three notes of My Immortal now.

And yes, Katy, they work on AIM. You have to have AOL to get them, but you can hear them on AIM too if you set your preferences to hear other people's sounds.

As for icons, AIM has a few available for use. But you can find them anywhere really and they're pretty simple to make yourself.

Wow! That's awesome!!! I don't have AOL, but my friend does and I'll ask her about it. As for buddy icons... to make one, just take a picture, shrink it down really small and cut out part of it that is (I think) 48x48 pixels, and you'll have an icon. :)

Actually... I made it so that whenever someone signs into MSN Messenger, a clip from "Hello" plays. *snicker* same part that's at the beginning of my voicemail message. "Hello, I am your mind..." XD well I thought it was cute. I'm not even entirely sure how I did it, I just had that clip on my computer and somehow... I guess maybe I moved it to the file... I know you definitely need MSN Plus anyway. Then you can pick a sound to play when any given person signs in (like Ringer ID on a cell phone). You won't want to make it an entire song though... too long, what if you're trying to listen to music at the same time?

There is a way that if you download AIM and sign on using your aol account, you can uploat a custom avitar to it, but it doesn't show up to aol users at all:mad:
