Just now- i was flipping channels and when I hit the Christian channel here, Bring me to life was playing- and it was some surfer talking about how he was screwed up before he found god and junk. Most of the video clips were him wiping out. Just thought it was interesting- since last year when it was clear they weren't a christian band, i just wouldnt think of hearing any of their songs on anything like the local christian channel here...

Did they say: The band that is playing in the background is a Christian band"?

i dont know, it seems fitting enough. BMTL isnt exactly religious, but its about someone or something waking you up and making you aware of something about the outside world you hadnt noticed before. (or at least Amy said someting along those lines in an interview). it could be implied that the sudden awareness happend to be of or causes by God. i cant really say thats what the band had in mind, but they left it open ended. a lot of things could fill in that blank, so why not? it wasnt so much the religious affiliation of the song as the message itself. i think they understood it just fine.

the band dosen't have to be Christian to be played on a Christian channel....

Well, the lyrics to BMTL really do fit the situation of the person being interviewed. Why do you think so many people thought it was a Christian song in the first place?

I've actually seen that show but I forgot what it's called...Never saw the one with Evanescence played. From what I've seen they play P.O.D., Pillar, Relient K and other Christian Rock.

They play all sorts of music on the Christian stations. I've heard Jessica Simpson and Kelis quite a few times here so it's not really a big thing that they played Evanescence.

Because every Christian wants to hear what a "Milkshake" is.

I didn'y actually get what that was till my sister told me -_- I'm kinda slow with things like that...that's why I often don't get r'n'b/rap lyrics. I just listen to them for the beat or whatever

Understandable. The lyrics could be religious. They could be anything you want them to be. They weren't written with religious intent, but they can be interpreted that way.

Now I'll stop with the christian thing.
