any of you have any favorite video games you want to talk about or anything? just leave them here. well personally i favor "Final Fantasy" games. I think one of the best ones was Final Fantasy VII (if you dont know that number, learn your roman numerals!) and for the computer i just think "the sims" is what i like. feel free to post about any games you like.

My tastes change rapidly as there are so many great games but the Zelda games always hold strong in my favourite games list.

At the the moment I'm playing 3 games alot, John Madden 2005... if you like American Football you'd love this, it's so realistic and has so much detail its simply incredibal.

I'm also playing Tiger Woods 2005, I'm not a large golf fan but for some reason this game is majorly addictive and the create a golfer is just insane with how much detail you can put into it.

The only other game I've been playing is my current favourite.. Lord of the Rings: battle for Middle Earth. This game is AMAZING, the graphics are shockingly detailed and the battles are just insane with the amount of troops you can have on the screen at once. I finished the Helms Deep level earlier as Saurons army. I even managed to get the bombs into the weak part of the wall and send a beserker in with a torch, details like that just make a game worthwhile.

crash bandicoot was/is a really nice game. it was one of my favourite video gams but now im only playing computer games. i dont have a game console no more.
my favourite PC game ever is Gothic!! it belongs to the genre action rpgs. i think most of u know it ?! it contains a lot of quests and you are very free in it. you can kill mostly everbody so if someone is disturbing u...:D at the beginning you are very weak and u have to proof yourself by doing some quests. quests and morps giving experience to you. the graphic is ok..the game is a bit older but the gameplay is always still very good. another personally favourite game is Rome Total War. it has the same principles as Lord of the Rings: battle for Middle Earth. great battles (up to 10000 man) and every unit in every detail.

I was just gonna post this.

I like this CD-ROM I got called Atari: Anniversary Edition. It rules. It has twelve classic Atari games like Pong and all the others. Then there another one called Mixman DJ Megamix where in you can make your own techno and electronica Mp3's. It rocks, I make songs all the time and you can even layer your vocals over it and a make a complete song. Oh and one more, it's kind stupid but....Zoombinees! There are all these tiny furry dudes called Zoobinees and you have to help them move from their old island to their new island and the more you get to the new island the more plaques and monuments they make in your name and then they worship you and shit. hahahaha, it's so cool.

Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2
The Pro Evolution Soccer (formerly ISS) series

No Mercy is the most replayable game ever for me... probably nobody else though. I've been playing it for years, even after going off wrestling. Crazy.

Oh, and I had a guilty pleasure about 5 years ago... that Pokemon game for the Game Boy.

Nobody liked Devil May Cry 1?

The game's dark settings and mix of gothic and rock music reminds of Evanescence. The gameplay itself is some of the best yet seen in an action game.

The 3rd game is shaping up very impressively as well. Here's a sample of it's music:

I really like the style.

pes4 is a great game, there are some stupid "features" that piss me off now and then, like passing to the wrong player, but anyway. it's the best football game around.

and i love the gta series, although the last i bought was gta:vc, but my brother got gta:sa, so i can play on it anyway. and those lotr games sound good, i really want to get one, but don't know which, hehe.

oh and i have zelda on game boy, that's great for playing in the car when on long journeys, good fun.

krysthina, i have rayman on game boy and pc (see above... used to play it in the car). well i don't know where they are now 'cause it's ages since i got them, but anyway, i have them hehe.

hmm, not bought any gameboy games for years... the only ones i have are the "classic" and "color" ones. my brother has gba.

meh, lemmings is teh best though :p we got lemmings paintball a few years ago for christmas from my uncle, hehe.

and as far as ps2 is concerned... i love my ddr! haha i could play it everyday if i wasnt lazy half the time. its fun, and its exercise... is there anything better?? hehe

I've recently been going back and playing all the old DOS games I used to play when I was little: Word Rescue (this game was the BEST when I was little!), Heretic, Hexen, Doom, etc. Now that I think about it, it's kinda funny that I played really violent games when I was maybe 6 or 7. I used to enjoy blowing enemies to pieces (and still do). :p

More recent games that I've liked are Unreal Tournament (PC), Dungeon Siege (PC), Dark Cloud (PS2), and the WWE Smackdown games (PS2). And I'll admit that I've been playing my Pokemon games on my Gameboy recently.

There's a REALLY fun game no one has mentioned.

THIEF, the Dark Project.

It's an older game that I found cheap on Ebay. It's set up like 1st person shooter, but rather than running around and shooting everything, you sneak. Your character is a cat burgler in a (sorta) medieval city who has to break in, steal stuff, and get out without getting caught.

It's a really different gaming experience than the many many hours I've spent (wasted) on the Quake games.

There's 2 sequals. THIEF, the Metal Age, and THIEF Deadly Shadows. I got Deadly Shadows for christmas, but I haven't gotten to run on my computer yet. Stupid video card!!

Anyway, these games are a lot of fun, and HIGHLY addictive!

I can't pick just one video game..
-Tony Hawk PS2 Games
-Medal of Honor Frontline (Sounds weird but its very fun)
-Kingdom Hearts
-Drakan: The Ancients' Gates (I played this game like 3 years ago and it was so awesome, I recomend it if anyone can acually find it)

My favorite video game by far for PS2 has been Kingdom Hearts. Can't wait for the sequel. As for computer games, they have a series of Nancy Drew Mystery games. As lame as it sounds they are really good, and can sometimes be quite challenging. Most importantly, they're entertaining.

...Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Chaos Bleeds for PS2. Because I like to nerd it up every once in a while.

Besides that, I'm in lust with anything Mortal Kombat, especially Deception and Deadly Alliance. The Sims owns my soul, and 2 seems like something I'd be incredibly too into. Which means I need to buy it.

There's this computer game called Battlefield 2 that I played after my cousin introduced me to it. It's basically Counterstrike, except different somehow.

I was watching him play and he was playing with a bunch of other people in a city modeled after the Middle East, complete with mosques. So I'm like, "GO IN THE MOSQUE AND DECLARE YOUR IMMUNITY FROM ATTACK!" and he's like, "You can't go in the mosques." I'm like, "STAND BESIDE IT!" (b/c that's what terrorists do, they hide in mosques.) I was with him earlier tonight and he was playing in the stage and he sent a "jihad on you" message to the players b/c he was fighting some Pakistanis or something. I told him he needs to call them either A) the Great Satan B) infidels or C) shout "ALLAH AKBAR" and then open fire on them all or toss them a grenade or w/e.

I really wanted to play in the mosque stage(s), but I couldn't find them and had to settle for slaying Chinese. I don't think I killed any people because I suck hardcore. My shining moment was when I shouted to all that I was coming to get them in my little shitter speedboat (that isn't weaponized, mind you) and some guy "lol'd" @ me and then I crashed ashore and later died many times. <3.

And another funny part was when I was in a tank and some guy killed me, leaving my corpse strewn across the smoldering vehicle. BUT HE DIDN'T STOP THERE. He kept firing until my tank blew up, essentially incinerating my carcass. I looked at my cousin and was like, "Okay, THAT'S A LITTLE OVERKILL" and he goes, "He did it so nobody could use the tank" and I'm like, "O. But still."

I also wanted to be an asshole and kill my own team members, since they were about the only players I could manage to get in my crosshairs. But I just couldn't bring myself to it--the closest I got was firing around their heads or feet. (DANCE.) <3.

The Resident Evil series rocks!!! Resident Evil 2 is the best for me. Well it's the only one I've completed, with Leon. I'll work on the Claire scenario later.

Also the Legend of Zelda series. Those are the best games ever, I'm serious! I'm definately addicted to these games!! Oracle of Seasons (GB) and Ocarina of Time (N64- this game rocks, it's my most favourite game ever ever ever) are my favourite ones, though I've played many more. Own quite few. Hyrulians, deep lakes, high mountains, big levels, puzzles easy and hard, cool bosses, swords and shields? Cool!! LOVE it!! :D Love them all, it's definately my most favourite series of games ever. Whatever would I do without them? I have no idea...!!!!

Smash Bros ruuuuuules!!! Especially when you're playing with your brother and sister on teams, it's fantastic, it's soooooo much fun!!!

San Andreas, because it rocks. Yes, it does.

Goldeneye (N64) is also one of my favourites. I played it years ago when it first came out, like 1997 or something. I know all the hiding places in the multiplayer levels, nobody can beat me there, I am the champion of this game, oh yes :p:p

Banjo-Kazooie is also very funny. My sister likes to watch me play it (though not as much as Zelda games - I get regular requests to play that for her when I'm at home) because it makes her laugh especially when I have to be transformed into a pumpkin.

And Sonic is another one of my favourites, especially from when I was younger. I played it often with my brother.

~edit~ how the hell could I forget the Tony Hawks skateboarder games?! OMG!! I love them!! The second one's my favourite, especially the school level. Cool indeed!

I love games. Currently I'm pulverising head on Resi4 and DOOM3, as well as kicking some ass on Path of Neo. Soooooooooooooooo many combos, it's not funny. There's nothing like throwing an Agent off a ledge.

Some of my other favourites are San Andreas, both Zone of the Enders games, and of course the invincible Metal Gear Solid series. Bring on Subsistence and Guns of the Patriots!

My favorite computer game is The Sims 2 because its fun and stuff. And my favorite video game is Tony Hawk's Underground 2 because it is also very fun and stuff and you get to make your skateboarders and you can have them wear black angel wings or make them look really messed up and stuff.

But there is also The Sims Bustin Out that I play on my PS2 alot. I like Final Fantasy too though, and Kingdom Hearts cause I love Disney. I really want The Chronicles of Narnia game, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but mostly Narnia.

So I'm going to post with an attempt to put the game in perspective with it's time period. This will result in a few older games but I still feel that many older games were more innovative than the newer ones, so I also think this is fair. (The first is my all time favorite, everything else is in no particular order)

Final Fantasy I - Maybe it's because I'd never played Dragon Warrior or any other type of RPG before, but to me, the game was so 'rock my world' that even when I sold my original NES I kept the cartridge. Also the fact that when the game lost my original save I felt th is as one of the more traumatic experiences of my childhood.... should say something (oh, and when I was a child I broke 7 bones... so breaking an arm or a leg was about as bad as loosing that save...)

Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball - I lump these together b/c in normal gameplay they are very similar. For a game at Marble Madness's time, I thought it was extremely fun and innovative. Monkey Ball, however, took the same concept - expanded it and then added onto it further with a collection of extremely fun mini-games.

Final Fantasy VI and X - I put these together b/c I feel that they both tested the limits of graphics and storyline of RPGs in general. I really ought to include VII into this grouping but can't... because of the whole Aeris thing. If you don't know what I'm talking about - I'm not going to tell you, but if you do... just know that it made me upset enough that I didn't finish any FF past VI until X and entirely due to the whole Aeris thing. Yes - I realise this is a little crazy, but I can't help it.

Final Fantasy Adventure/Sword of Mana and Secret of Mana - To round out my Square list, I'll include these too. SOM was probably the better of the two due to it's multi-player aspect. Being able to play with my best friend (also a FF geek) was killer.

Worms Armageddon - Yes, the thought of animated worms with bazookas is one that makes me feel good inside.

Counterstrike - While not a huge FPS fan, I loved the team aspect of the game.... and I loved sniping. Scout all the way too, AWPs were for pansies who couldn't snipe well. Also, I like it better than games like Halo due to the whole respawn/sit out stuff. Since dieing was more important in a game like Counterstrike, I felt that it made the game better. Also made good bathroom break opportunities.

Starcraft - I was about to put Command and Conquer down but this was at least as good and at best much better. I'm sure if I played WC 3 that I'd like it as much if not more, but I don't have time for it and Starcraft was still stellar in my opinion. To have three different races was a huge step in my opinion, although since I followed RPGs much more than RTSs - Starcraft may not be the first one to do that, but in my book it was so...

Civilzation * - In particular for me, Civ 2, but all four Civs were/are fantastic. I would play this for days at a time without much in the way of meals even.

Super Smash Brothers - Not Melee in my particular case, but the original. In head-to-head gameplay, I enjoyed countless hours playing when I should've been sleeping.

That's enough for now, maybe I'll post more later.

Ah, videogames. I was wondering if there even was a topic for this.

I like too many games to list, so I'm just going to list the ones I really love.

Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Megadrive (I think it was Genesis in the US). That's the game that really got me into gaming, I used to play it over and over again.

Call of Duty (all of them): I've always like WW2 games (and war games in general), but CoD has been my favourite since it came out. It's not too realistic (like Flashpoint, though I like that game too a lot), but when you up the difficoulty level to Veteran, you really have to do some work.

Half-life 2: While I liked the first one, HL2 is the choice for me. I don't know why, maybe it's the graphics or maybe it's the plot, I just like it more.

GTA and GTA: Vice City: The first one is pretty obvious, it was such a revolutionary game, the freedom of just roaming around and going crazy. Vice City was all of that, but with very good voiceacting and a plot. For some reason San Andreas wasn't nearly as good as VC for me. I actually bought SA the day it came out and I still haven't finished it. I just couldn't be bothered.

Tribes 2: Though the game wasn't that popular, it's imo the best game ever made. The learning curve is very steep, that's why it isn't so popular. Also at the time it came out, almost nobody had a computer that could play it smoothly. I continued playing it in a clan, and we still play it. Although Tribes Vengeance came out not so long ago, it was a complete flop. The makers of the game have already stopped making patches for it. T:V made majority of T2 players to leave, but they're slowly coming back.

Worms 2 and Armageddon: Read the post above mine.

I'm too lazy to write more, maybe later :)

I'm not much of a gamer, but I love the Myst games. Their graphics are the most amazing I've ever seen; they're so realistic. The soundtracks for each game are nice, too. Soothing and ambient. Does anyone else here like the Myst games?

I've never played or seen Myst, but I'm playing a game called The Journeyman Project 3: Legacy of time and it's really charming and great! The gameplay is pretty simple, it's point and click but in first person view. Even better, the 3 locations you time-travel and walk around are 3 lost civilizations a day before they disappeared: Atlantis 1262 BC, The Andes Mountains in El Dorado 524 AD and The Himalayan Mountains, Shangri-La 1219 AD, 'mythical' places.

I learnt a lot and it makes me want to spend some time in Atlantis and El Dorado, they had some crazy-ass balloons.
