Thanks for the thread, Dev. I went to the sight and clicked the online presale link. I was asked for my email address and was told that I would be sent a password. It never happened. I entered my address two more times and got nothing. Based on what I've read in other threads, the presale tickets seem to sell out pretty quickly, so this could mean they're sold out. I assume the sale to the general public will come from Ticketmaster, but the Boston show isn't on their sight. Anyone know anything?

Hey all. I've been a member of the Evboard for a while now, perusing around all the time, but have never posted. So here goes... bmtl15, both the Boston and NYC show's presale tickets are sold out (glad I got both of mine right away) which is probably the reason why it didn't work for you. But have no fear, the Boston show will be on sale through Nextticketing.com on Jan. 17th at 12pm, not through Ticketmaster. Hope that helped

I am beyond pumped. The last Boston show was fucking amazing, and I simply cannot wait to hear BNM live. The stupid email was sent out to me 2 days late so the presale was sold out, but I'll call up on Saturday. I have a volleyball tourney out of state that day, so I'm hoping madre or I remember when 12 pm rolls around.

He was rhythm guitar so all he had to do was pretty much smash the strings at the right time.

denver? :shock: I was barely able to afford the ticket for the boston show, was left over christmas cash.denver would put me into debt. It'd be worth it. To see Amy in the Band live I'd go into debt without a problem...cause issues later but once more, it'd be worth it.

I think you pretty much covered it. There's a balcony with seating and then the floor is GA. There are steps, i guess you could say, that go all the way around the floor and the bars are there. They're not really stairs per se, because they only go up about six inches each and there are only a few of them. Just elevates the bar from the floor.

I love it when people remember me looking all freakish and purple! I feel special now!

the Avalon is along a street of a string of clubs and it doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is really really cool. once you get to the actual stage area, it's just one big floor with bar and sitting areas to the sides of it. there's also a balcony level to stand and watch from there, but who would want to cuz that's no fun.

Atomship is pretty good. The two songs up for listening on their website aren't bad, definitely worth checking out if you have a few minutes to spare. They were actually one of the mystery Wind-up bands that was sent out through an e-mail to review.

I was going to order them the 17th' but gut my days all mixed up. Ended ordering them sunday the 18th at 2 AM.

There kind of are, just not on the floor. On the balcony, I believe there may have been seating. I hope I didn't just imagine that or something because that's possible too...

if you manage to make your way up to the front, my suggestion is to try to ignore all of it and just enjoy the concert.

a) being up front, near the barricades and security guards, is actually one of safest places for your sister to be if she's afraid of being smushed(aside from all the way in the back)...b) your brother's very nice, but that's no reason for him to have to settle for a shitty spot...and c) don't drink so much and hold it in! would u seriously leave an Ev show in the middle to go to the bathroom?!

the balcony = the area where the bar is. so of course there are some tables with chairs for people to sit at while they drink. typical of any bar! but the floor area will be completely clear!! leaving plenty of room for me to get my butt right up front!

You state a mighty valid point there. We're all going for Evanescence, but at least we don't have to sit through crap beforehand. Having decent/good opening bands just makes it that much better...not that you could get any better than seeing Ev, but yeah you get it.

Tip 3: Watch out for security posing perverts who try to feel up your friends.

I was up close last time, everythings going good, then this guy starts saying he can get my friends backstage and keeps rubbing them, so we had to go to the back. Pretty bad experiance. But the concert still rocked!

If you show up to the concert around when you think Ev's going to be on, you're going to be really far back. The mentioning of the merchandise table was my usage of hyperbole and had nothing at all to do with purchasing anything. The end.

I might not be in the first row, but I definitely wont be far back. In my college days (fuck I’m getting old) I was there every week, so I have learned a trick or 2. Between the opening band and the headlining band everyone gets restless, people have to pee, and other people need more to drink.

Another trick is you bring a girl that is wicked cute. You have her lead and all the guys move for her. Since I’m small I can fit right in after. Then it is just convenient to have big friends come after that.

The best trick I have seen is some rich girls hired a bunch of really huge body guards. They forced there way to the front and let the girls be against the bar. The body guards then circled around the girls. It was a great idea since it was a very violent show. But it sucked for me. I was pushed back.

The only reason we would show up early is to see Atomship. I haven’t seen them yet and I haven’t checked out there music yet. So if they sound good we will try to make it for them, then suffer through default

But most likely, my friends and I will be at pat flanagens (sp?) until default is finished. Then when EV is on we will be 10ft behind the people that spent hours in line in the cold. Iif they were able to stay up front that long. Sorry if I sound like an asshole I’m just really tired.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread yet, either that or the posts were deleted, but you can always try Ticketmaster starting a week or so before the show and every day after that to see if they release any more. It happens occasionally when the concert people realize that they have tickets that they don't need or the production people see they don't need as much room for setting up as they thought they did, so they can release more tickets. Or something along those lines.

Summary: Keep trying Ticketmaster.

I'm glad that the venue is so small, because its more of a chance of you meeting the band, and no matter where you stand/sit, you have an awesome view- not to mention Avalon is an awesome club!

After they announced the NYC date, I was thinking that if they were to come back to MA at all, it would definitely be the Palladium. The Avalon is pretty small, as you said, and they could have sold out something much bigger. Oh well, they're coming back to Boston, that's all that matters.

Fleet Center? As good as Ev is and as much as I love and adore them, a 20,000 person arena would be a little rough for them. Not saying it isn't possible but it's a big jump from the Avalon. It's hard to pull off a good arena rock show too, so I'm glad they're not.

I'm a little apprehensive about the concert this time, I'm going with two of my friends, they are very timid, one of them went with me last time and stayed in the back the whole time while the rest of us were at the front. And some guy was trying to feel up my friends so it kind of freaked them out about being in the front. :rolleyes: If they end up chickening out I'm going to be mad.

If they played the Fleet Center or Centrum or Tsongas Arena, take your pick, then there would be GA on the floor, most likely. Or they could always put out those really uncomfortable folding metal chairs...

You can get the Evanescence font from here (http://www.rockrage.com/musicfonts.html) and here's the logo with out the name, just save it to your computer, use some type of photo program (Photoshop or Paint Shop) then add your screen name :)

NY & DC will be my 6 & 7th Ev shows and half of those time have been with Ben & half without. I've said this many times before but the show really didn't change all that much. In my opinion, it actually sounded more together when he wasn't there. The only thing I truly missed was his drum solo in Farther Away. I'm not saying anything bad about Ben, It was just apparent after the last show that I saw him at, that he wasn't as into it anymore..

Ev was my 19th concert I think...yay for them being 21 and 22 too! My first was Bette Midler when I was 5...aww, wasn't I cute?

Saying I'm pumped is such an understatement...it's more like bouncy ahh ev in less than a week ahhh concert yay smile excited!

*continues search for any extra Boston tickets* This is rather ridiculous. Even the ticket broker sites that were selling them for up to $200 each are sold out of Avalon tickets.

I'm beyond pumped for the show, but I'm not sure how early I'll be able to get there. I'd get there as early as possible, but I'm going with my sister and one of her friends, and my sister doesn't really want to wait for hours before the show starts. Can anyone tell me how early I should get there to get a good spot? Thanks.

I completly understand that dilemme. Im gonna be going with my sister-in-law and a couple of her friends and we wont be leaving rhode island till 3:30 in all likely hood. which means the earliest Ill be getting there is 4:30 :(

I'm having pre-concert anxious fits

I might have to kill myself, this is the biggest dilemma I've been faced with in some time. Tomorrow is the first round game for the state tournament for basketball. Should we beat #5 seed Boston English, our next game is Sunday. Oh my God, that makes my life. I just checked, and it's at 1pm. Still, that pisses me off because I had every intention of being at the Avalon by 1, pretty much like I was last time. So I'm honestly torn. Do I want to win tomorrow? Or be at the show at a decent hour?

Before I checked, I thought the game was at 7, hence my posting this. I feel a bit better now. ANYWAY. Show! Less than a week! :D :D

Hey everyone, I just got 4 tix for the DC show on ticketmaster. Row G sec 102 - 108.

I'm only going to use 1 or 2 at most so... pass the word around that there are 2-3 for sale if you do not get though to ticketmaster, the only thing is that these are will call so we would have to meet.

Anyone age 21+ from the new york area want to go I'm driving from here to DC then to boston, I don't have boston tix yet but will make the trip anyway.

I have 2 extra tickets for the NY show that I would like to trade if possible for the Boston Show. Plus I may also have a few to sell, considering everyone that was suppose to go is not.

If you happen to come across 2 tickets to the Boston show for like $100 each let me know. It sucks that my friend told me that he could go now..if it had just been that he had to work, then it would have been fine, but the possibility of going is killing me..LOL! I've been scouring ebay and stuff, but no luck.

Thanks for the idea..but I really don't want to put all that milage on my car if I don't know wether or not I would be able to get tickets I would love to go, but if I can't, I can't. I just figured people might have known of some places that I didn't. I just thought that it would be cool to meet some EvBoards that I won't be meeting in NY & seeing others again that I will meet there.

There are no cameras allowed, but as long as you stand in the back and got a camera with a good zoom then the security guards won't notice.

Yeah, when I was at the last concert they did at the Avalon, the security guard went crazy when he saw the flash. I think I'm still scarred from that experience. :) The best bet would to definitely stand towards the back for pictures..
