I know IT'S HERE ALREADY!!! I just had to start one since the Browns' first preseason game starts tonight. WOOT! Pregame show! ::Watches intently:: I can't help it; it's just the preseason, but I'm goin' nuts. Any other football fans out there?
This is Cleveland's fucking year!

Glad you started this! Even more glad I have a fellow female football fan! We are a rare breed ya know.

Don't I know it. There's a reason I've never had any girls for friends.

LOL... don't even get me started. The only thing better than football is college football. Being such a huge fan, I probably should've gone to college at OSU, but meh. I can root from the sidelines. ;) They start late too... ugh. Thank God for the preseason.

Go Niners. Maybe they can go 8-8 this year. *shrug*

Hey, whaddya say, Favre is a Jet!
I no rite? How WEIRD is that whole thing? I didn't think he'd stay with the Packers after the little anti-retirement stunt. I mean, come on. Even so, the Jets were lucky to scoop him up.
WHEEEE the damn pre-game show is ovah! Bring on the FOOTBALL!
Go Browns!

I am a Patriots fan. Our mortal enemy are the Jets (though the Colts are right up there too.) Boo Favre :p I'm not ready to give up on the idea of a Dynasty just yet! :D
My girlfriends and I watch the Pats games religiously (and the Red Sox also) Women sports fans ftw!

Awesome. You can root against them with me tonight! (And let's just pretend I wasn't rooting for the Giants during the Super Bowl. Hehe.)
I also love the fact that so far, more girls than guys have been posting in this thread. <3 Thanks for being the epitome of cool ladies.

My boyfriend bet the spread for the Super Bowl, because he knew it would be close. I will freely admit I was heartbroken that we had gone undefeated the whole season just to choke at the last minute, I guess I'm glad Eli Manning got some recognition, but it will never happen again bwahahahaha
Evboard ladies represent woot woot!!

I really did feel for all the Patriot fans; that had to suck. That was just awful. Watching that Super Bowl was literally like dying and coming back to life like five times over. The end of the game was just KILLING ME. I went through such highs and lows... I think I freaking deafened the entire neighborhood with my screaming at the end when the Giants came through... OMG... that whole thing was just PURE football orgasm.
And, just in case anyone's as excited about tonight's game as I am... We just scored a touchdown against the Jets. TAKE THAT JETS! TAKE THAT!

Never believe what you read. When the Red Sox traded Manny Ramirez, I was shocked when he wound up with the Dodgers at teh eleventh hour (yeah I know thats baseball, but I needed to vent a little, and it's somewhat relevant--no one in the media predicted the Dodgers would get in on the 3 way trade!)

eh whatever. doest count yet.
and what else is new with the jets losing? lol
i could give two craps about favre unless he helps the jets actually win some crap and look halfway decent. i dont follow the ins and outs of football. i watch the jets and giants' games while i do my homework on sundays. it's a nice little ritual.
right now i get the choice of watching either the jets or giants lose... hmmm whatever shall i watch?

Not much to watch with our game. We've been on rain delay. I'm sure it'll start back up again soon. :\ Rain's lightening up and crap, but yes... the Jets are down right now. NY fails. :P
Haha... truly, I don't have room to speak being from Cleveland but, meh... let me have my moment.

How do you think I feel? XD Maybe now the rabid Favre fans here will accept this as fate, take down their picket signs, stop starting random arguments with people in the street about the whole thing (yes, this has happened on many occassions), and go back inside their homes...
I look forward to Aaron Rodgers taking his place as starting quarterback in Green Bay. Screw all the people that are booing him and not even wanting to give him a chance simply because they're little bitches for Favre. Rodgers is a good player, has tons of potential to become much better, and has basically been sitting on the bench for the past three years - he kind of deserves a chance to play and grow. Plus, he's hawwwwt.

I just need to rant, cry, bitch, and moan right now. I'm so SICK of the Browns being constant suck faces. I don't know if anyone else saw the Steelers v. Browns game last Sunday, but I seriously wanted to rip my face off I was so pissed. The score was 10 - 3 in the final quarter, the Browns had the ball so what did they do? Went for a field goal instead of a first down. Final score: 10 - 6. WHAT.THE.FUCK? Who in their RIGHT MIND would make that call? Seriously? Why wouldn't you just risk it? Who cares if you don't get the three points?! They could've tied it and stayed in the game. I swear I'm just so pissed with football right now. That whole game was just a disgusting display of mistakes and bad calls.
I fucking hate the Steelers. They better get their asses handed to them against the Eagles. Ugh, but as much as I hate Pittsburgh, right now, I hate the Browns even more for being such idiots. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH OUR SPORTS TEAMS CONSTANTLY CHOKING?! I'm getting so sick and tired of it.
Here's hoping we can turn this suckfest around during our game against the Ravens this Sunday. ::Fingers crossed::

Poor Jane. I suffered through many years of the Patriots being the worst team in the league, until they triumphed and created a dynasty (according to some....) Your time will come!!!
Well, so far so good with an injured Tom Brady out for the season. We played the Jets this past Sunday, with Brett Favre. I was disappointed int Favre's performance and the Patriots won with the second string quarterback. Overall a boring game. I am reminded of the fact that Tom Brady was the young second stringer when Drew Bledsoe was injured, and he wound up performing better. However, I don't think that is the case this time.....

Poor Jane. I suffered through many years of the Patriots being the worst team in the league, until they triumphed and created a dynasty (according to some....) Your time will come!!!
What's frustrating is that the Browns USED to be an AMAZING team back in the day. But after their hiatus, they've just had a very difficult time of actually stitching a decent team together. They have a lot to live up to and all of us Clevelanders are just dying for them to make their comeback happen already. We know they can do it... and they've got a great legacy... we're just all getting so damn impatient.
And our morale is even lower considering the fact that all of our sports teams have been prone to choking lately. Both our baseball and basketball teams seemed to have been on the verge of incredible upsets the past couple seasons, but just seriously throw it away in moments of stupidity. It's just so frustrating. ::Rips hair out:: COME THE FUCK ON CLEVELAND!
Jane

I'm sorry, but Baltimore is a shit team that we should have STOMPED. It's just embarrassing... the Ravens are lucky that we're so damn incompetent, because if we didn't hand them all those touchdowns on a silver platter, they'd have had a hard time scoring on their own, let alone stopping us.
I smell either a QB switch up or another coach-firing coming up (or both). ::Sighs:: How miserable is this? Not a single win yet. ::Is depressed::
EDIT: Haha, to quote a fellow Clevelander:
It's like having a Corvette but no driver's license. Notice I said Corvette, not Ferrari, we aren't there yet... My other complaint is that, (using my analogy) season tickets are like paying for a car that just sits in your garage
It's so true. And I'm a sucker for analogies. :P

blah the vikings are 1-2, i can't believe they're doing worse than the 49ers *cries* they havent had a decent season in years, even with adrian peterson we can't seem to pull it together, our coach is crap! we've had nothing but bad coaches since the fired Green! It's sad to see that the only way we can win is with the backup QB, just shows we need a better one.

They should, but unfortunately they can't. If there are 32 teams, but only 2 make it to the superbowl each year (barring national strike or disaster). That's only 20 total teams possible each decade, but less if you have a dynasty such as the Packers or Cowboys. There has to be at least 12 who don't make it, sad to say.
