Okay i just bought this game and it is super cool. I can't play the guitar but NOW finally i can pretend and don't look too stupid . Guitar Hero is on PS2 and the controler looks like a mini- kiddie guitar but you can play some cool ol' time songs. the 2nd one is suppose to come out soon and maybe ev will be on one of them in the future ...doubt it but that would be cool.

I'm addicted to that game, too. It's the next best thing to being actually able to play the guitar.

I'm a total dork. My hubby and I are actually having a Guitar Hero Party on Saturday. We even made up "set lists" with the songs for each game (I, II, III, and 80's)

The new one is super fun, and the battle mode is way different. It's actually pretty challenging! I love the "Boss" battles and the new co-op career mode too. Overall I am quite pleased with the new game ^.^

I got a wireless Guitar Hero controller for Xmas, it kicks ass! I have GH2, 3 and the 80s, I want one too. I love it, and on Fridays as a treat for the kids at school, I bring it in (I kick their butt, yay!) SOme songs on hard are harder to play on the game than in real life on guitar lol

I have GH3 for Wii. I got it for Christmas and I love it. I've beaten easy and am working on Medium now. I also am going back and trying to get 100% on all the easy songs. I doubt I'll ever get beyond medium though. I am not that coordinated LOL. Anyone else have it for the Wii?

At first I would always just watch him and his buddy play, yeah
untill they wanted me to try it and take a turn, and after that I was hooked.
So I kind of hogged it, and wouldn't let my friend play.

I'm totally with you - I can beat the first 3 (all songs except Jordan) on Expert, but the 4th one is kicking my ass in the last setlist... The Slayer song is a BITCH.

But I rock the drums and vocals at the same time on Rock Band; it's awesomeness. ;)

props to those of you who can play GH on hard and expert. I'll never be able to do it but I still love the game. I am finding it hard to go back and play easy now that I have gotten pretty good at medium. The notes come to slow on easy and I'm hitting buttons to soon now.

I know what you mean. I can play gh1 & 2 on hard and expert, [I'm stuck on Baracuda on Hard for ps2 on gh3 :confused3:] and when I try to have a go at easy it's harder than expert aha. The notes are too slow, and you get used to playing every note of the riff.

My cousins have this game, and they play it all the time, it's like an addiction to them. I've tried to play it but I can't get the co - ordination right, with my fingers and the different colors to press and the other thing you have to move at the same time watching the TV to see what colors are what etc.

Way to complicated for the likes of me!:p

Once you start playin this game, you cant stop. But then your fingers hurt really bad after playing for 5 hours.lol!

I beat the easy and medium level... But I can't seem to manage the hard level very well xD Moving your fingers up and down is a little too much coordination for me, I think, haha. When I'll have a free weekend or something I'll try it again..

That is the WORST cover on the GH games lmao I only played it to get through the game because I was so disappointed with whoever covered it. It would have been in their better interest to put Ev's on there as opposed to the one they have. Seriously.

I kick ass at Guitar Hero. I've learnt that this and Rock Band are the only computer games I can play, apart from the old stuff like crash, rayman, etc. haha. Because nothing keeps my attention like music :]

Oh goodness! i love some GH! i play well on medium and can play one song all the way through on hard but am still learning to use the orange button efficiently lol yes it is crazy addictive! i love it

I always put a rubber band around the green fret button and use both hands on the frets for the rest of the song. The first part is all hammer ons and pull offs so yeah. Lol. hope that helps a little.

Okay, so I got Guitar Hero World Tour today, the first day of its release. I only played it for a half hour because I had too many other errands to take care of. My first impression is that it is trying too hard to be Rockband. The graphics are a lot better, and the very first song is "Livin On A Prayer" which is pretty cool. So far, the Quickplay seems to be a limited list, maybe its just me but I started on Medium and it seemed way too easy (I know Rockband's medium level is very easy, I wonder if Guitar Hero is dumbing down the levels on purpose.) I had fun designing my own character she is a vision of purple gothiness lol I'll have to play more to form an opinion.

i'm looking at possibly getting this for my daughter for christmas. we have 2 guitars. I can't see forking out the money for a new guitar for rockband. so we'll settle for guitar hero.

The Guitar Controllers for Guitar Hero work on Rockband for XBox360 and PS2. You should check to see if the Wii Guitar Hero controllers work for Rockband also. I bet she would enjoy creating her own character, there are tons of outfits and hairstyles and makeup styles, it's actually kinda fun (even for big girls lol)

I may have to check into that. I'm wondering, if the guitars interchange, will the drums as well? they are basically the same, except the placement of the yellow set. I think it would be easier to play with the 3 drums and hi hats, rather than the 4 drums. but i dunno. I just know the kid tried out rockband at walmart, and didn't get pissed off when she was playing the drums. I think she just enjoyed beating on something. and not getting into trouble over it.

Well you could google it, checking compatibility, or maybe even rent it and test it out (though you'd have to wait until she wasn't around.) I'm guessing no on drums, yes on guitar. I don't have any Rockband accessories, I just use my Guitar Hero guitars, but I eventually want a mic so I can sing along to Lacuna Coil and Paramore lol
