Hello - Fallen and 2002 Demos Version

Playground school bell rings - again
Rain clouds come to play again

Has no one told you she's not breathing?
Hello, I'm your mind
Giving you someone to talk to
Hello

If I smile and don't - believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream

Don't try to fix me I'm not broken
Hello, I'm the lie
Living for you so you can hide
Don't cry

Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
Hello, I'm still here
All that's left of yesterday

Speaking of Hello and Bonnie, others were claiming that Bonnie was in one of those special family pictures in http://evboard.com/showthread.php?t=5788 <--- That thread. If Bonnie passed when Amy was only 6, and Amy is 14+ in those pictures, does that mean the others are wrong?

Yup. Bonnie isn't in any of those pictures. Those people are wrong.

Actually, both of you are wrong. The one picture of Bonnie with Amy had been in that thread, but Amy wanted to take them down. Amy's father gave the ok to put them up, but after a while they were taken down.

Right. I remember that now. >_> I thought they were just talking about the pictures in that thread at the moment.

today, when i was sitting on the buss on my way home, i all of a sudden recognised the lyrics and the melody played on the radio. some girls had made a cover of hello it seemed...and rocked it up a tiny bit. but the news cut the song of, and i didnt get to know who it was. this was on a local show...... but still.... i seems i just cant let it go: do any of you know anything about someone who have made a cover of hello on their cd??

To my knowledge, the song has never been performed live, HOWEVER, the cello part was used (along with the end of "Whisper") during a brief instrumental before the band took stage at Rock Am Ring.

if you reverse "Hello, I'm still here" (this is clearer on the 2001-2002 demo version) Amy says "It's hurts me all over". it's interesting.

Okay, so this is probably a really stupid question, but how do you reverse a song? If you just hold down the "back" button on a cd player, it's too fast to really hear anything.

it can be heard on the Fallen version as well but its more clearer on the demo version.

the way i did it is record it on "sound recorder" (All Programs >> Accessories) and you need a microphone for this. put the mic against the speaker and press "record" and play "Hello, I'm still here". when that's done, click "Effects" and "Reverse". i hope this helped :)

as i'm a nice guy, if you are unable to hear the "It hurts me all over" i did this for you all!

Which Rock Am Ring? 2003 or 2004? Are there any more Rock Am Ring shows, like 2005?

I’m pretty sure it’s the Gabriel Vs. TriFactor Remix.

Thanks for this. Now I’m going to record the pre-Origin versions of “Away From Me,” “Eternal,” “Listen to the Rain,” and “Demise.”

I bet it's just a coincidence.

Cause If you record yourself singing "Hello, I'm Still Here" and Reverse it, You hear the same thing.

What do you mean by “the same thing?” You still hear “Hello I’m still here?”

I can’t hear the “Tick tick tick clunk” and what’s a Metronome? Also what version did you hear this on?

A metronome is a ticking thingy used to keep in time (usually their electronic now)
The old ones look like this: http://www.creekland.org/band/metronome.gif

and its in the Fallen Album version (bought in Australia if that makes a difference) from 3:28 onwards it has to be really loud and you have to be in complete silence....

No. You hear "It Hurts Me All Over"

Record yourself singing the same line and, after reversing, you hear it, too. So, I'm guessing it's just a coincidence. Similar to the whole "It's fun to smoke Marijuana" with "Another One Bites The Dust" - Queen

Hi! I digitally reversed the whole song, they are more coincidences to hear!

Ooo, and another detail, if you reverse the whole Evanescence album, you will hear more and more, could they be subliminal messages!!?? Just joking! They are all coincidences, I hope

Lol yea like in that one Led Zepplin song where you reverse it and it sounds like they’re saying “My sweet sweet Satan” or something like that.

Yea. In “Whisper” you hear “There is no one,” when you reverse “Speaking to the atmosphere.” And “Here waters lie.” in “Don’t turn away.”

Heliosis

Actually, The Led Zepellin song is most likely planned. Cause it's about a whole paragraph.

They talk about the shed where someone used to beat them and mention "Sad satan" several times.

But, then again, could also just be coincidence.

The noise you hear at the end of Hello is the piano player taking their foot off the pedal. Which is strange as a) it's an electric piano and b) after the foot has been taken off the pedal, the note continues for a while....which shouldn't happen if you've JUST taken your foot off the sustain pedal. That kinda defeats the point. I'm pretty sure it's just a production thing to make it sound more realistic (as in, like a real piano).

Heliosis
07-06-2006, 12:27 PM
Actually, I believe they used a Real piano for Hello. I can't remember where I heard it, but I heard that it was a real piano.

And only a singular note continues at the end, which shows the player held a key and lifted the pedal, so the other resounding notes stopped and just that one note was heard.

Fadingtonothing
07-06-2006, 10:30 PM
They use a real piano for all the songs. You can tell the difference between a real piano and an electric one, especially after you've been playing on an electric one for years. There's only a few songs where they use synthesizers.

Heliosis
07-07-2006, 12:25 AM
Synths are used for the Strings and effects on Fallen. Real piano is used for everything else, as FadingToNothing said.

Thanks. :) Not to be rude, but the more you practice reading music the easier it gets. Even if you just look at the music a measure at a time, memorize the notes, and get the fingerings memorized.

In case you don't know, treble clef goes from E - G - B - D - F on the lines and F - A - C - E on the spaces ("Every good boy does fine"; "Face") and bass clef goes from G - B - D - F - A on the lines and A - C - E - G on the spaces ("Good boys do fine always"; "All cows eat grass"). Just as a reference. ;)

I already knew about the Every Good Boy Does Fine and the F-A-C-E things with reading music. I used to be in chorus from 6th to 8th grade. So I learned it there. And I know the notes on the piano, too. I just noticed on the sheet music though, that it has the different chords. (I think that's what they're called. lol.) And so I'm just confused about those different chords. Some are F#m, Bm, etc. I just dont understand what notes those are on the piano.

Thanks for your help though. :)

You refreshed my memory on those simple music thingys. ;)

Haha. I'm having a major brain-fart right now. I can't think of the right words to put in this. lol.

And to punkbutterfly: are you talking about the little boxes above each measure with, for example, F#m, Bm, etc? If so I'd like to point out that those are the guitar tabs; the piano music is right there sitting on the staff :p

Well just look at the key signature. It's circled on this picture. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/Darklies2/hello1.jpg) So there are two sharps in the key signature witch means C's and F's are sharp. Hope this helps.

It is a very interesting occurrence. Although I do believe that whether coincidence or not, it still pertains to the inherent meaning of the song. The song is about the first few feelings about someone you loved becoming lost to you. It is as if a tidal wave of emotions drowns you after that loss. Then, all becomes still and dark, the only shred of light or life comes from within you. From your mind and your soul. Indeed it would seem to hurt all over as you feel the loss of a dear loved one. Then, you realize that that person is now in a different place, but you're still here. It makes sense. Yet, life still goes on, with a new beginning. Hello...

This is the second saddest song I've heard, next to Like You. She is so traumatized. I wish she never had to write this song. I can sense some of the pain she had to endure. I feel so sorry for her.

I listen to this song and think about how I have lost my family. It was a few years ago when i found my father and met him for the first time and discovered I had three brothers and another sister. I gained this family only to lose it all over again. They did not parish but in any other sense they did. They are so wrapped up in there world that I have truly lost them all over again. I strived for years to have a relationship with them but nothing became of it. That was one of the saddest experiences of my life and i experience every single time I try to be a part of their lives. So in my ways i feel like i got the family I always wanted only to have it ripped away from me. I can;t imagine losing someone that i love but this feels just as bad.:(

when i listen to this song it makes me think about my dad who lost his sister when he was young like amy was when she lost her sister. This is the saddest song i've ever heard. Like you is sad but in a way it's hopeful because amy is not grieving for her sister anymore she's for coming for her. Like to me that's saying i'll see you one day sis.

This is another song, I hold really close to me.

In one part of the song, where Amy sings, Don't try to fix me,
I'm not broken, this is the part, that really brings out alot of emotions.

Alot of my friends treat me like that now, because of the loss of two people who I loved SO dearly.

Its like some of them watch what they say to me, and how they say it.

I don't like being treated like that either, just like Amy didn't.
Going through a major loss like this, people don't have to treat you like your broken, they just have to give a person time to heal.

Beautiful song, another I hold very close to my heart!!

Hello
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc146/87_Bonnie_Lee/msawe.jpg (http://photobucket.com/)
Amy Lee in a BLACK dress
against a STORMY background, rain washed (church like) school to her right, looking wistfully towards the playground children are playing, in the center of a few gathered children a small girl lies, raindrops running like tears across her lifeless body.
The school bell rings, children running inside now gazing through the dusted rain soaked windows, Amy now drenched walks toward her sister, camera's rest on her face (Bonnie's face) looking down, Amy brushes her hand lightly over the body slowly turns and walks away as camera's capture the edges of Bonnie's face at the bottom of the screen as Amy Lee jogs away in th distance, the pan's in on Bonnie's rain soaked face (a birdseye view of the playground) or (flash backs of Little Amy Lee n Bonnie together)
(Contrast b/w or vague color)
idea's are welcome

it can be heard on the Fallen version as well but its more clearer on the demo version.

I love the very begining, that sound effect Amy added right before the
piano starts.
Its a very depressing, deep, emotional, touching song.
It seems its like, Amy is almost saying that, she is going to live for
her little sister, as well, thought of it all to be like a dream, but knows
she's not sleeping, and its very real.

This is an incredable song, and I would NEVER be able to perform it
live either.
