I'm going to have to do this for some members because they really need to take a chill pill. This is directed at some who feel that the mods are being rude, much like the person who started that thread months back.

Please, for the sake of all that is holy, do not take all of the posts that we the mods make seriously. Some of us make sarcastic, smart-ass comments and we just can't help ourselves. It's not because we hate you or because we think that you're stupid. It's because we joke around. If we didn't joke around, you would probably be bored coming here.

But no, we've got charismatic mods who make every opportunity to make you guys laugh.

You make yourself look silly when you take the mods seriously all of the time.

Relax and grow thicker skin. When we joke around with you for making a silly post, it's not meant to get you all pissed off. Hell, we all have "blonde moments" like the topic in COT.

And it's best if you not retaliate like a recent user who shall not be named did.
That was, for a lack of a better term, uncalled for.

As much as we seem rude and blunt, we are very approachable and when you PM us, we try to answer questions as best as we can.

I really shouldn't have to post this, but there are people who apparently have no idea how to take a joke...and on the Internet no less where nobody gives a flying fuck.

People, we're all new at some point. Use the site's FAQs and search the forums before you do anything. The reason that you're asked to do that is to keep the same shit from being asked/done over and over again.

So my advice is to not let anything bother you. Hopefully, someday we'll all laugh about our n00b mistakes and not get banned.

2 things you can do to easily prevent that are:

1. Searching before reading. Not saying it helps all of the time, but certainly most.

2. If you're unsuccessful, you could always PM a mod.

I generally don't care what kind of question I get. If it's in good taste and with good intentions, I'll answer it.
