I watch it occasionally if there's nothing else on TV. But the recent storyline of Jade and Kirsty being switched at birth is so Passions. Oh and speaking of Jade/Seb/Duncan, the guy who plays Duncan used to work at a local shopping centre in Sanity, haha.

I usually have months were I don't watch it at all, but I've been hooked on it for the last few weeks.

The dude who plays Duncan...scares me.

And the bloody car crash!! There is no way Seb would have survived flying off a cliff at a fast speed onto rocks below and then right next to water. And they wonder why Home and Away represents the lowest point an Australian show can acheive.

OK, here's what happen to Jade. She managed to jump out of the car as it flew off the cliff. Everyone was saying that she must've gone through the windscreen but I knew she didn't coz the windscreen was still intact. Then you saw Seb's flashbacks to the accident and he saw Jade jump out. OK, that I understand, here's what I don't understand.

1) If Jade jumped from the car as it flew off the cliff, wouldn't she have injured her legs? I mean, it would've been about a thirty to fourty metre drop from where she jumped.

2) Now, we all saw where the car landed when it hit the ground. It wasn't in the water, it was about five metres back. Again, if Jade jumped from the car she would've landed further back towards the cliff face than where the car landed. How did she end up in the water?

3) And last, but I'm sure not least, how did Jade manage to stay afloat for 48 hours in the freezing Pacific Ocean...while unconcious?? How did she manage to breathe and not suffer from hypothermia or shock?? That's what I don't get.

Oh well, I still love it all the same. I mean, come on people, it's a lot more realistic and better than 'Bold & The Beautiful', 'Days Of Our Lives' or 'Passions'.

By the way, KIRSTY (Christie Hayes) and KANE (Sam Atwell) RULE. I think they are the best characters of H&A. Oh, and Dani (Tammin Sursok). Oh, yeah...Kim Hyde (Chris Hemsworth) is really hot.

The writers are getting worser and worser - but it's still fun to watch :D

Home and Away will be taking a short hiatus during the Olympics, with a major cliffhanger leading up to it. I have acquired some details of events from, and surrounding, this cliffhanger. The following is from an e-mail I received from my source.

1. A major character does die.

2. One ends up in a coma for months. (Note: My dad recently met Nicholas Bishop, who plays Peter Baker, at a conference from work, and Nicholas told him that it is he who is in the coma, and I don't think he would lie!)

3. A major secret is revealed that will change one character's life forever.

4. Noah is still in the show after the Olympic break, contrary to rumours that have been flying around everywhere, and this is not just scenes in hospital dying or in flashbacks.

5. The first week back contains some of the most incredibly moving scenes ever seen in Australian drama.

6. Remember: Rhys, Dani and Max are leaving the show. The major character death MAY be one of them.

7. Josie Russell, played by Laurie Foel, arrives in that Olympic cliffhanger week and, who and what she is, will be as much a surprise to the viewers as it is to Irene. She is a much different character to Angie. They just happen to look alike.

8. After the Olympics, a major new story starts for Kirsty and Kane when Kane discovers he has testicular cancer. He initially feels this is God's punishment to him for what he did to Dani. But it becomes an inspiring story of love overcoming physical adversity - and a strong message to young men to check themselves regularly. Testicular cancer is a big killer of young men if not detected early, (NOTE: This story has been done with Vinnie a few years ago, but the writers felt it was rather poorly handled at the time. They are giving it a much greater reality in terms of what Kane goes through with treatment. If you want to see what Sam Atwell looks like bald, tune in). Colleen and Sally, who have both been through cancer, will be great supports to Kane through his ordeal, when Kirsty is unable to be there for him for a very understandable reason - you'll have to wait to find out why.

A few other storylines that will begin after the Olympics:

The major storyline will be the story of Ian Osborne's intrusion into Tasha's life, the things he does to decide whether or not to accept her as his daughter and make her one of his heirs.

His actions will change a number of lives in Summer Bay, and an old favorite will return to help our characters fight the influence of this rich and powerful man.

Kit (Amy Mizzi) will also return in a very unusual way.

The Guv (Maggie Kirkpatrick) will also return and we will be forced to re-examine everything we have known about her up until now. Nothing has been as it previously seemed.

There will also be a new love in Leah's life - Peter Baker's brother, Dan

but magazines arent not always right.. they wouldn't print something so big such as a death. and tell you who it is... soaps tend to do this... they dramatize it out and make u believe something. when really it is something else.

Today I heard that Home and Away was going to be axed in 2005. My friend at school told me he read it on a website. (ill get him to write down the website tommorow and ill post it here). I also heard some girls talking about it on the School Bus Home, it can all be rumours I dont know.

I heard about a spinoff called "Away from Home" which will take place in a University (read it from the Esspress Newspaper), im guessing that will take over Home and Away which I dont know if thats a good thing or bad thing.
KIMBERLY COOPER who played Gypsy Nash wants to be in this Spinoff if it goes ahead :D .

They are like most Australian TV shows, they start out with the right ideas only to try way too hard to compete with American shows and they lose the plot... literally.

Channel Ten's new show, Cooks, or something like that.... honestly, just let it go Channel Ten! You stuffed up The Secret Life of Us, and now you're new show should just be called, Sex. Because that is all Aussie TV shows know how to do... is make the characters get nekkid and dance the nekkid pretzel... and they don't even do it very well!!!

It is sad that Home and Away is one of Channel sevens highest rating shows...why does Channel bloody nine get all the good stuff? Maybe Kerry Packer has something to do with it.

the only show that is interesting that is on channel 9 is CSI all the rest is crap

channel 10 gets all the good shows and whats the deal with star gate being on so late :mad:

there most probably going to do what they did with neigbours how valda was really lynns mother but in this case josie might have had to give up tasha because of the line of work she is in who knows

I don't like my accent (so much for the Aussie Pride! HA!), so I'll trade ya.

yeh i think the aussie accent is too plain! id like to have the french accent for one day. that would be awesome.
