I searched, and I couldn't see a topic about this, so here goes:

So yeah, I just bought "Confessions", the new album from Ill Nino, and I wasn't disappointed at all. So, that leads me to ask the question, does anyone else like Ill Nino? I think it's safe to say that Ill Nino is one of my fav bands, with "How Can I Live" being my fav song.

By the way this is a stupid question, if anyone else bought the cd, how do I go about viewing the video to "How Can I Live"? :?

I saw them live back in 2002 and thought they were pretty cool, but not enough for me to get their albums.

Ill Nino it's not that bad but I don't like the frontman (can't remeber his name). My fav song is "God save us", I have "Revolution/Revolucion", but I've heard defenitly better records so I won't go and buy the new one.

I adore Ill Nino, I saw them back in Novemer and they kicked arse.
I've only got Confesion at the moment, great album though.
Can't wait until they bring out "This time's for real" Good choice for a 2nd single off the album.

if i remember correctly, i believe ill nino used to be el nino. somewhere along the lines, they changed their name and lost some of their fans in the process. by the way, i happen to like them, no matter what name they go by.

Very good band, original sound...like them!
How can I live (the radio edit, that's a littel softer) is one of my favourite 2003 songs!!!

I love Ill Nino, i've seen them live 3 times, most recently opening for Godsmack. They have such a unique sound when you break it down. They are a great heavy rock band that has actual vocals... aka not screaming so distorted into the mic you cant tell whats comming out.... Just remeber I AM LOCO.... Raaawwk

I think they were really good in concert, but I don't particularly like the CD Confessions too much. It's okay, but I prefer more melodic stuff. Besides that, I love their dreadlocks :D . /fangirly moment

I've seen Ill Nino a few times in concert. They put on a really good show and they sound awesome. I own both the Confession album and Revolution'. Both great CD's. They said that the Confession album is more of the style that they wanted when they wrote their first album. More singing. I like.

A friend of mine brought his ipod into work with a lot of ill nino on it and he let me steal it for the night. ^^ They ROCK! They're going to be playing nearby here in the next couple of weeks, but it's like a $20.00 cover. Meep. I'm on the Ramen diet right now, so I don't think that'll be happening. But I'm definitely sniping an Ill Nino album when I have monies again. How good is their live show? :)

Sowwy for bringing this back up, but somebody might be interested in these:

Words from lead singer Dave Chavarri:
"We're home now writing new music for our 3rd CD, which is sounding fu***ng brutal, and will be much heavier than our past 2 efforts. We start recording our 3rd CD in February 2005, and is to be released in the summer of 2005!"

They also released a DVD about a month ago called "Live from the eye of the storm" and it contains all of their videos, plus a live performance :)

ILL NIÑO Signs With CEMENT SHOES RECORDS - July 24, 2006

ILL NIÑO drummer Dave Chavarri has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"OK, everybody, we want to fill you in on what's presently going on with ILL NIÑO. Let me start by saying that the split between Roadrunner and ILL NIÑO was an amicable split, and that we're thankful for all the good times we had with Roadrunner in the past 5 years.

"After the release and in support of 'One Nation Underground', we toured around the world for 12 months and had many sold-out shows in Australia, Europe, the U.S. and Mexico. 3 months after the release of 'O.N.U.', we felt we weren't getting the proper attention and support from Roadrunner that we had gotten on the past two releases. Since ILL NIÑO was no longer a priority at Roadrunner, ILL NIÑO's management negotiated with Roadrunner so they could be released from the recording contract, and ILL NIÑO was released.

"A brand new beginning for us, we're all very excited to tell everyone that we have just signed a deal with Cement Shoes/Universal. Cement Shoes is the brainchild of Dan Catullo who is the founder of Coming Home Sudios (GODSMACK, RUSH, MARILYN MANSON, MATCHBOX 20, USHER, and others)

"At the moment ILL NIÑO is in Los Angeles, California recording a five-song EP with two brand new ILL NIÑO songs, and three cover songs from bands that we respect and love! This five-song EP is to be released this coming fall on Cement Shoes/Universal, just as a taste of what's to come in spring 2007. After we finish recording and mixing this EP, we will start rehearsals for our upcoming European Festival tour that starts on August 10th and brings us to Hungary, Czeck Republic, Poland, Holland, and Denmark.

"We just want to say thanks to all of our friends and fans for always supporting ILL NIÑO. We would not be here if it wasn't for you!!"

so im resurrecting this thread, these guys are alright from what i have heard my neighbor introduced me to them i like "When It Cuts" and "How Can I Live" its refreshing to find a decent heavy metal band that isn't too mainstream but they don't sound like they're growling into the mic all the time its good music they're not as technical but sometimes simplicity is bliss

ooh yeah Ill Nino is great, I like them too, I don't own any albums but I have a few songs and I love them all, I remember when I first heard about them, it was the song What Comes Around I liked them instantly and I agree When It Cuts is also an amazing song...
@ Unknown_Soldier - if you like Ill Nino you might like a band called Nonpoint (listen to the song Bullet With A Name) they're very similar to I.N but different at the same time, if you don't know about them check them out you might like them too...
