True True. To be honest the best way to get a feel for what Ireland is really all about is to tour the West Coast - the scenery is amazing. Dublin is ok - it is a party city, but the traffic is awful, it smells, and it can be dangerous at night. I spent a few months in New York and I felt much safer over there on the Subway than I would feel walking through O'Connell street at night, or waiting for the Nitelink bus outside Trinity. Plus I've been mugged twice here and never once in NY... *sigh*

I actually fell in love with Kilkenny. Beautiful little town with a castle on the hill and funky artist community. We started scouting real estate but the 12th century monastary was a little out of our price range!

Im doing the same thing.Ireland dones't get much of a varity of artists coming over playing gigs.So im resorting to going to the music as opposed to letting it come to me.

They're bound to. Metallica (arguably the biggest metal band ever) come to Ireland practically every year - they're coming again this summer. Surely that means Ev can make it once!

I've just got out of Dublin city, whole place was freaking out. the unionists never marched, and the nationalists attacked the police. Luckily my mum picked me up, but I came a few times to being severely injured when I was stranded for 2 hours on Dame street, but I wasn't hurt, luckily.

i was going to be going to a seether gig in manchester this friday... but theyre postponed! *bursts out crying* i might as well go over anyway, seeing as the lfights and hotel have already been paid for.

That happened to me when HIM postponed their gigs in January. I had tickets to the London gig and had flights/hotel booked but luckily enough Children of Bodom were on the same night in the London Astoria so I was able to go see them, and they rocked!
I'm going to the two HIM gigs in the Ambassador in 2 weeks time. Just hope there isnt as many annoying 13 year olds in CKY t-shirts at it this time.

last year when i was doing my mocks, itssnowed the whole time. when i looked out the window, peolpe were having snoball fights :( of cousem as soon as the mocks were over.... the snow stopped! gargh!

yeah, TY great craic ^^ i went to barcelona on my tour. there was about 100 of us. theres a lot of idiots in my year but it was great to have everyone who's split into two different years back all together :)

I'm really looking forward to it, pretty much all my friends got in who tried, and no real idiots!
It's supposed to be fantastic in my school, we get to run and set up the talent show, go skiing, enter compititions. Most likely we'll be nuts this year.

I'm pretty sure Ev are going to play Paris in November (at least I hope so - don't want my thread in concert discussion to be wasted :rolleyes: ) - and I'm going to be there - Erasmus FTW :D that's probably the next handiest place to England to go for an Ev concert if you live in Ireland.
