Probably the beginning of next month. Tickets for the 7/26 concert go on sale on June 4th so I'm sure tickets for the 7/24 concert will go on sale a couple of days before June 4th.

I hate to break it to you guys again, but for those who think DAR was bad, um it wasn't, not in the least bit. Atleast not compared to MPP, I saw someone there a few years back, and I had lawn seats, which means.. I could only see what was on the screen, and I could barely see that.

I think GoddessK also said something about even if you're first row, it's like being 15 rows back with no people in front of you.

Its so weird because they always seem to be 1 step behind 3 doors down around here! Also Merrieather is running the mcdonalds sessions this summer which are GA, $5 and take place on saturdays. So far bands they have lined up are Fuel, and Live.

yeah I figured...usually, most of the good seats at shows are saved and not sold to the general public. Sometimes they'll open them up if they aren't used as the date nears closer, but not very often. :(

Jes and I are considering skipping out on the Maryland show and just sticking with the LI and PA ones...not sure yet. But, we're thinking of possibly flying out for the last show in Arkansas, depending on how much fundage we'll have. So maybe we'll save the money we'd be using for Maryland..Idk.

Well, I saw No Doubt, Lit, and Mariah Carey there... For the No Doubt/Lit show, I had lawn seats, and it was pouring rain, so we all mud-slided and all the chicks had mud wrestling competitions :D That was fun...

For the Mariah Carey concert, I was to the right of the stage, which doesn't have as many rows as the middle section. The front row center is front row center. I know someone on here mistook what I said, I just wanted to get that cleared up. :)

But, I have a feeling all of the front row center seats will be taken by media. Oh well, I'm still going; cicadas or not damnit!!!

No there is an actual pit at some shows...I was in a real pit at Creed and if you look at the tickets at ticketmaster for 3 doors down there is a pit. It $60 and its general admission. Hopefully they arent having seats in the pit for evanescence.

Nope, you have about the same amount of info as the rest of us...I check ticketmaster and ev.com a few times a day as well to see if they add any info, but alas, no such luck. According to the official ev site, tickets for the PA show haven't even gone on sale yet which is funny since I've bought my tickets already lol. Just keep checking ticket sites and your e-mail if you're an e-teamer. Info should be released pretty soon.

The cicadas will be long gone. They will be gone before the end of June..so you guys have nothing to worry about.

I just got pit tickets for the show, through the presale. GROOVATASTICAL!!! So if you are not an Evanescence E-Team Member, sign up! Last time I was at Merriweather was for Nine Inch Nails(5/12/00) It sucked cause they were RC Row TT....Apparently Row TT is the last row in the pavilion. Also Row TT is not actually seats, but metal folding chairs tied together with those little trash bag tie thingies....it sucked I had to dish out $46.00 to sit (well, stand) on metal folding chairs in the last row of the pavilion, but this time I'm up close...WOOO-HOOO!!! Hooray!!!!

I got to be up-close for the very end of "Imaginary" & "Whisper" at Nation(9/13/03) At DAR Constitution Hall I was stranded in the upper levels...pretty lights!, pretty lights!...9:30 Club I was on the balcony...So this should be awesome....Anyhoo Does anyone know how big the pit is for Merriweather. Is it about the size of Nissan or a little smaller or what?

Yeah I've seen that seating chart. I wonder if they clear a little more space when they take out the seats or just leave it as whatever room there is after the chairs are taken out. Even though it's only 5 or 6 rows deep, it's pretty wide. But hopefully, since it's not so deep, there won't be much room for moshing and the like.

I read the FAQ's on the site and some of the questions lead me to believe that they might be lawn tickets:

-What am I allowed to bring into McDonald's Sessions @ Merriweather?
Blankets, a lawn chair, a disposable camera, an umbrella, and one unopened bottle of water.

-Are there any items I am not allowed to bring into McDonald's Sessions @ Merriweather?
No pets, bags, coolers, picnics, recording devices, roller blades, bikes, professional camera devices, or alcoholic beverages may be brought to McDonald's Sessions @ Merriweather.


And according to that, disposable cameras are allowed...But on the actual venue website, it says no cameras are allowed. ggrrr I'm so confused...

On the Sessions@Merriweather site, there is no price range. The tickets are just $10. I already have pit tickets and these look to be for the lawn, but Idk...just confused as to what they're for and why they're so damn cheap.

car-seat size....lol but for real, i would think under 5' need to back out of the pit... i'm 5'5" & i still get a good beating in there, but i usually deserve it! :D

Almost, i'm barely 5'0. I don't feel like i'm tiny, but I don't feel short either, but I know I am so, i'm just a little wary of pits.

I seemed to do fine in the DEFAULT pit, I didn't get hurt at all, but there weren't that many people either...hmmm

I don't think it's a mistake. They are doing this every Saturday for the entire summer, have the show listed as confirmed, and are advertising for posters for it as well.

Yeah, row V in the loge sections which are on the far left and right sides of the venue...If they aren't lawn seats and are actually selling other sections at that price, which I do doubt, then I don't believe that Ticketmaster will refund your purchase. They typically only do refunds if shows are rescheduled or cancelled.

The Sessions@Merriweather thing has nothing to do with Ticketmaster or any previously placed ticket orders from other ticket vendors. I don't know why exactly it's so cheap compared to everything else. It's some kind of special they're running for their own promotion. *shrug* But we have pit tickets, so it doesn't really affect us since this special is for lawn tickets. Maybe they are trying to attract more buyers to their promotion with the cheap tickets? no idea... I'll try checking it out tomorrow when the tix go on sale.

What was confusing is that all the other shows except ev are general admission for the entire venue. ev is different because they sold tickets already. the sales were low thats why they are selling reduced price lawn seats only for ev but the other shows you can sit anywhere..at least thats what they told me today. it sucks for ev fans who bought lawn tickets when they first went on sale. Those people got ripped off.

I've never been to Merriweather, but I think someone earlier in this thread mentioned that it's impossible to see the acts before/after the show due to the way the venue is configured. Does anyone else have any experience with this? There's no way to the buses or...uh... anything? Do people just not get autographs at this venue?

Personally, I've never made any effort to meet a band, but I'm thinking it's about time I tried. I'm not even sure I'd have the courage to try myself, but perhaps if I, oh say... accidentally bumped into some other EvBoard members I might suddenly have the balls... maybe... Just a thought. :D

Where there's a will there's a way. I think if the band knows that it's impossible to meet them, they might try to come out anyway. I know at least John would try..LOL! He did in Florida afterall :)

OK - there is a "backstage" area that passes can be purchased for, depending on the artist, and it is really off to the side of the stage. For example, if you were facing the stage, go to the very front and the very far left corner. It is beside the stage - that is what is considered the backstage area... I had backstage passes for once concert there, and NO ONE that worked there could tell me where to go... so, there it is.

Another issue, which I think I may have to contact MPP about...

There are two sets of gates, and two parking lots that do not connect. One set of gates is for the parking lot, and another set of gates is to get into the pavillion. The parking lot gates are not open all the time, but only open a few hours before the time the concert starts.

There is no real area for you to line your vehicles up outside the parking lot gates, or it will block traffic and the cops in Columbia are pretty strict. YOU WILL GET FINED.

Also, for those who are parking across the street at the mall and plan to drink/tailgate there - even if you are over 21 - the police use binoculars, and will fine you. This has happened to me before.

So... my question is... does anyone know what time the PARKING LOT gates Open, as well as what time the PAVILLION gates open.

And the sound from the lawn is not the greateset either. That is why they are so cheap. If given my choice, I would choose pavillion, and if I wanted to go to the lawn to party a bit, then I walk over there... also, the end sections to the very far right and very far left suck, too..... there is a jersey wall in between those sections and the three in the center of the pavillion. You can't drink in the mall lot or the merriweather lot. Ive been busted in both places even when i was over 21. The lawn isnt so bad. I wouldnt pay 25 to sit there for this show but since they hardly sold any tickets for this show they dropped the price to 15 bucks! There are still pavillion seats left!

The gates are open all day because you can drive in there and park because its the only way to get to the box office. I'll go in there real early some days if i havnt purchased tickets yet.

They didn't drop the price to 15 bucks for lawn seats. Sessions@Merriweather is holding their own special promotion for it and it isn't because "they hardly sold any tickets." They may not have sold out the venue, but that doesn't qualify as poor sales. And it seems the only pavillion seats left are in the back, so don't think that just because there are seats left, that the show's sales aren't doing well.

Also, Sessions is running the ticket sales for Evanescence differently than the rest of the acts scheduled for their promotion so be aware of that if you aren't already. I don't know why you would give up tickets in the pit by the stage for spots on the lawn in the back just because they are 15 dollars, but hey that's your thing...

TECHNICALLY you are not supposed to tailgate/drink at the Merriweather parking lot, but I have plenty of times - especially for Jimmy Buffet. I just made sure I had a concealed container - like a plastic sports bottle w/ a lid or had soda bottles (with mixed drinks inside)... they can't really do much to you for sitting around, it is just the public displays that are not cool.

I am leaving for vacation..but I just wanted to say..that was an awesome show. Amy sounded amazing..which is incredible considering they've been touring for a year and a half. She seemed a lot more comfortable with the screaming and the fans..and she seemed more animated than the other times I've seen her. I've been to the concerts in DC. I thought it was funny..how quiet people got when they did songs off Origin..and there is me..and this girl next to me singing every word. Oh..and the best moment of the night for me..John and I made eye contact and smiled..hehe..it was great. I hope you all enjoyed the show..but I know you did!

omg the concert was so awesome!! I had such a wonderful time! The band sounded perfect and Amy sonded phenomenal! I was so impressed! I knew it would be great but I didnt think it would be that great!!!

Too bad we didnt get to meet Seether though. :confused: I'm not going to complain too much, the concert was really great! I'm just a little disappointed about not getting to meet them. It would have been better not to win at all, you know?

I got to meet one Evboarder, GoodessK. Shes really cool. Wish I could have met some more of you.

God, I cant wait till they come back! I want to see them agin!!

the show was...wow. i mean even my dad liked it lol. twas great fun singing along even though some weirdo in front of me spilled half of his beer on me. :mad: but fun nonetheless. thoughtless live was like the highlight of the year. haha and when amy sang the lyrics to everybodys fool wrong "i know who you are, i know the truth now" and the crowds just like...uh huh...
in conclusion:

Hey all! Last night's concert was my 5th Ev show.. but the best yet! It was weird because at Friday's show in Philly, we arrived at 11:30am, and there were already at least 25 people there... yesterday, we arrived the same time... and not one other person got there until about 2!

Anyway, because we had the GA tickets, and were first in line, we were right in the center, in front of the stage. Let's just say I will have some AMAZING photos to share (hopefully tomorrow)!

I'm tired... LOL. I think I will take a nap and maybe give a review of the actual show later on tonight. I just got back to PA from MD (we slept at a friend's house that lived kind of close to the venue). She was an Ev show virgin... lucky girl saw the best show for her first! :p

Next time we'll have to do something to try and get EvBoarders in the same place at the same time. Something like "Meet by near the hot dog vendor after the second act" or something.

omg it was awesome!! this was only my second ev show but i think it was their best one!! and i'm SO glad i got to go, b/c i was sposed to be at the beach, but we left early cuz we thought it was gonna rain!! so THANK GOD FOR RAIN IN NEW JERSEY!!!!!!! as soon as i got home i got on ticketmaster to get tix, and i got tix in row J in the center! i was like omfg, how did i manage to get tix so close??? but then i moved up to the row right behind the pit, and i had so much fun!! i wish i could've met some of you guys! i took some pix some turned out great, i'll try to get them up here later. btw, did anyone see me? i was wearing an ev shirt w/ their logo on it, crappy white eyeshadow and silver/purple lipstick. anyways, the show kicked some SERIOUS ass!!

Yeah. The bands were supposed to be there and the merch was supposed to be outside. At the NY show, Pat from Seether told me to go "to the big white tent" after their set to hang out after the PA show. But I guess the rain made that complicated. *pout*:(

wanna know what sucks worse??? I only got about 5 or 6 pictures out of my ENTIRE ROLL OF 27 BACK!! They didn't turn out! I am so sad! I think maybe because I used a flash, and they have all those crazy lights? I don't know... I just know I almost had tears in my eyes (man, I must have PMS!). And the pics from my M&G with Seether at Philly.. well, I look like crap. LOL. What a disappointment!

This concert kicked serious A$$, one of the best I've seen at Merriweather (ick spelling) I've been listening to Evanescence for a long time, but there's nothing like great live music! ALL the bands were hot live bands, great show in all! Rape me was classic :)

I actually got AMAZING pictures and I loved the show, maybe it has to do with getting mad love from amy? She heard me scream "FUCK YA" after thoughtless and said "thank you" smiling. Then later during breathe no more/my immortal break she tossed her bottle cap to mike and I, then watched us fight and laughed, raising an eyebrow and doing a rolly eyes face as a joke. It was so cute. Then later during bring me to life, she winked at us, and during zero she was staring at us. Will stared at us for a bit as well, I didn't like it lol.

That's really cool! At Philly and at Merriweather I kept on flashing the "Rock On" symbol at select members whenever they looked around me. They would always see me because I always made myself stand out somehow. MANY times John flashed it back at me, Will gave me a very discreet and subtle thumbs up like 3 times. I even got Rocky's attention and boy was he Farther Away than others. I flashed \m/ and he flashed it back. I pointed at him and he nodded. *sigh* Good times! I think I got Amynator to look at me *shrug*. I KNOW I didn't get Terry's attention. I only got his attention at signage at Philly and at the acoustic show. Terry's awesome.

Hey..

I am in DC for 7 weeks (well only 10 days left now) and I soooo wanted to go to the Ev concert in Maryland... but because I had no idea where it was in relation to where I was staying.. and had no idea how to get there and didnt actually realise that Maryland was only 45 mins from where I am until 2 nights before.. and I had stuff on... I didnt go :-( boo hoo...

I would have LOVED to see them live in the US, esp with 3 Days Grace and Seether....

I did however see them live at Wembley in May with Seether.. so I cant complain too much....

Sounds/looks like the MAryland concert was a good one though :-)
