I guess Ella and Amy could be considered as similar, but not when Amy is being natural. i.e, when Amy is doing the whole sultry and goth thing, sure I can see the resemblence. But when Amy is just being natural, then they look nothing alike. Plus, Ella is no where near as beautiful as Amy :P

i think that the surgery on ella's voice destroyed it a little because i think that she sounded a lot better on the first album, but i liked the way the music sounded on the second album.....they need to spend more time on thier lyrics tho cos they repeated the same thing over and over to much

I just saw em do 7 new songs at an industry only gig in Sydney Thursday nite pretty good it waws. I'll post a to pics soon!

One of their new songs is on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack as well. It's played on the ads for Spiderman and it sounds pretty damn good. Way to go KH. :D

Man, the band has a bit of a different image from what i'm used to seeing. The dreds are gone, as has the bright red dreds. It will be interesting to see if the style of music changes with the image. I could imagine them becoming more emo.

yeah i saw the video clip today on the VH coke radar, its pretty good. I love that song Killing Heidi rock! Ella and Amy look maybe a little bit alike but Ella's hair is short now..I think both bands are very different, the only similarity is they both have female lead singers.

Ella doesnt mind Evanescence, mainly because they are fronted by a female and she likes to see strong females leading the way :) Her housemate used to play Fallen all the time.

Danny Elfman did the score for the movie, not the soundtrack. though 2 of his songs made it to the soundtrack.

The sm2 cd is songs inspired by the movie, though I Am wasn't written for sm2, but the lyrics fit well with it which is why the song was asked to be put on the cd.

No they haven't toured yet. They are doing some promo stuff, they prob wont tour till after their album is out.

Yeah I saw them on the Footy show. They did good. Ella's hot. It was cool that they played 2 songs too. I had to stay up to see the second one tho. And yeah, that audience would've been tough to play to.

I just saw their two performances on The Footy Show; they were excellent IMO. Too bad some dumbarse threw some water onto the stage and onto Ella during their second song when she was kneeling at the front of the stage.

I haven't read through this entire thread, mainly because I'm too lazy. After hearing 'I am' on the radio for a while, I've decided that I don't really like it. I really really like their old material because they actually sounded like a rock band. To me the beginning of 'I am' sounds like a bloody R'n'B song and Ella's voice sounds so manufactured. Hopefully when the album is out, all the songs won't be like that. I bet I'm gunna get ripped to peaces for saying that I don't like 'I am' but oh well. Ella had an operation? What kind of asshole throws water at the bloody lead singer during a performance. Someone should beat him up. Gotta say Amy is better.

Caroline, Ella has said that I am is not a good indicator, the rest of the album is more raw. Ive heard a few of the new songs and they rock.

I'll let you know to that this music is 100 times rockier that Reflector and Present, as with those 2 albums they had no freedom as they were managed by Paul Kosky, he told them how the music would be played, what their image should be, everything.

This new album is with a new manager, who rules so now your seeing the real Killing Heidi...they've made the music exactly how they want and they are dressing the way they want.

She had a cyst on her vocal choards and had to have an operation, this was like 3 years ago lol! Thats why there was such a long gap between the release of Reflector and Present.

you have to see KH play their new stuff live to honestly appreciate their new songs.

if you buy the I Am single theres a preview of 4 of the songs of the album...theyre awesome...bring on August 30!

I dont really see how ellas voice sounds manufactured? ive seen them play their new stuff 6 times (not incl soundchecks :P ) she doesnt sound manufactured then yet she still sounds like she does on the single/album. I Am is my fave song (although i like the LB mix better than the CLA mix. cla being the single mix. lb mix is on the single... head down to your local cd store and ask to have a listen).
check out the album. Not For Me, Calm Down (next single), Running Under Water, Coming On, Notebook, Miss You and Your Hands have got to be the best songs on the album. they will blow your minds!!

"We didn't have any definite ideas when we first started thinking about putting the artwork together, other than we wanted to keep it simple and stripped back. The more people we spoke to about it, the more we realised it was a small but an important way for people to be able to relate to us and who we are as a band now," he said.

"Ella and Jesse have spent a lot of time up in Sydney lately putting the final touches on the artwork. Ella has been really interested in a lot of amazing Thai and Indian indigenous art lately and came up with the idea to incorporate a bit of Eastern influence into the title font. New albums/singles get added to the ARIA charts on the Sunday night following their release (which is the charts are updated), so we'll find out then. The album debuted at number 8 in the Sanity charts, so I reckon it'll debut around there in the ARIA chart :cool:

Oh. I was just wondering, like today, there was a review of the album, but it wasn't in the charts, so I was thinking, Oh no, it's missed the top 20! Hopefully it hasn't, the review was quite good...three stars out of five.

So they were on The Panel tonight and I thought that was a good performance.

I took some pics of it with my camera but they didn't turn out too well. If anyone wants to see them, let me know and I'll upload them. :)

I watched the panel especially for Killing heidi. It was great.
I'm starting to like "I Am" alot better live than the recording.

I went by myself to the Dingdong lounge gig and had a blast.
I just hope oct 7th doesn't turn out like QBH gig did, apparently that was pretty bad as far as the crowd was concerned.

Hey yea I saw them on The Panel last night too. I recorded it but I have no way of ripping it. I couldn't turn the volume up to hear the actual music because my sister and her boyfriend were sleeping on the lounge chairs. But it looked good. Shame it was short though, it would have been cooler if they gave them a full intervew but meh. Does anyone know of any Brisbane dates that aren't held in bars etc. cause I'm under 18 and I really wanna see them live.
