I dont know if they are small enough for this forum, but I heard Entwined and now really want their cd.

So far I cant find their newest cd anywhere, but I got to listen to clips at Virgin, and I am very intrigued.

All the comparisons between them and Evanescence from this board prompted me to download a few songs a few weeks back, and I liked those enough to buy 2 CDs (Comalies, and in a Reverie... I was VERY happy to see them at the store I usually buy my tunes) and I like them both quite a lot.

When I first heard LC I loved them. They have a great sound. Love the sound of a woman's voice (probably why I love Ev).

I did the same thing, for the same reason. They have quite a bit of stuff that I really like.

Oooo! Yay! Lacuna Coil rules! Very super cool stuff. :D I would buy a cd, but I haven't seen one anywhere. Hmmm. :( They seem to be getting pretty big in America. They were in a magazine and I've seen their video on tv. That is good though. :) I wish I could see them live, but no. They have to play at Pop's dammit! Argh! :x

I'm another of the people that discovered Lacuna Coil through this board. It took a few listens for them to grow on me, but now I really like them. I'll definately be buying any of their CDs I run across.

LC is awesome. I'm a huge fan. :D And not just because I'm Italian like them, haha. I've looked in three different towns in my area...at a whole pile of different stores, and nobody had any of their stuff. *sniff* I suppose I'll have to order it.

Cristina's voice is beautiful...but I don't think LC and Ev are much alike at all. Anyways! My favourite song of theirs...hmmm, probably "Purify". How about you guys & gals?

I love "Lacuna Coil"! I'm also from Italy and the band is well known here.
I believe the want to start a tour with Type O Negative in the USA, that's why LC canceled all the concerts here in Europe :(

But go and buy their album "Comalied", it's great work by Cristina and the band! 8)

Holy crap, you people forgot to list Lost Lullaby. Best LC song. EVAR.

Yeah, after I exposed my friends to Evanescence they started looking up other bands that were metal style with girls who have amazing voices (and just happen to be hot) singing. I like them a lot, their lyrics are a bit more gothy than Ev's are, but I think I like Ev more, honestly. Not to say LC isn't krad :)

I saw Lacuna Coil live too, at the "Metal Odessey" gig in London about 2 years ago now, alongside the likes of Nevermore, Dimmu Borgir and In Flames.

Again... i am surprised there are people who like them as much as I do. I thought I was the only one ;)

Lacuna Coil were absolutely ace live actually, though they were put in with a weird mix of incredibly heavy bands in comparison to their quite slow downbeat melodies.

But female vocals always tend to make me swoon... i wonder why the hell that could be? It couldn't be anything to do with Christina Scabbia being gorgeous could it? Nah....

as for favourite songs, I have lots of them. Namely "My Wings", "Falling Again" and the magical "1:19".

Lacuna Coil has been my favorite band for 3 years now. I'm like the only major fan in Ohio though that I know of. But I have "Lacuna Coil EP", "In A Reverie", "Unleashed Memories / Halflife EP", and "Comalies"...plus their 2 rare songs not on those albums. I hope to see them with Type O Negative in Cinncinnati, Ohio on August 5th.

My favorite Lacuna Coil songs are...

When A Dead Man Walks
Comalies
To Live Is To Hide
Purify
Distant Sun
Aeon / Tight Rope
Entwined
1.19
Hyperfast

I caught the tail end of the last commericial and then that punked up chick vj was like, "and we now have more with Lacuna Coil" :shock: and they showed a little interview clip and the video for "Heaven's a Lie" I almost wet my pants in disbelief...The video's ok, you can tell they don't have that high of a budget...I couldn't believe they were on Fuse though!

LC Rocks!!!!!!!

THANKS TO EVANESCENCE TO OPEN THE SCENE FOR SUCH GOOD BANDS!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, last year almost none over the net knew what was gothic metal. We had to hear crap like Limp Bizkit, Avril Lavigne (although her I´m with you and Losing Grip is actually good) and bands like from our country (in my case, Charlie Brown Jr. and CPM22). Nowadays we have Evanescence and I hope to hear soon (not so soon because I don´t want to be hopeful) LC, Within Temptation and Nightwish there too

From the few songs that I have heard by them, I like them. I'm downloading some of their songs. I don't think they sound anything like Ev, and I still like Ev better. My fave LC song that I have downloaded so far would be Distant Sun, I keep on putting that song on repeat. Hehehe... :D

Has anyone gone to one of their shows with Type O Negative yet? I'm thinking about going to the show at Pop's next week, but are they playing a real short set since they're just opening? I really don't care about the rest of the show, and don't want to pay to see a brief set. Hopefully they play for an hour or so?

Hey, I just checked Lacuna Coil out because of this board... and I must say, they are a VERY good band. Christina's voice is amazing. You guys probably knew this already, but there's a small feature on LC in the new issue of Revolver with Ev on the cover. If anyone here is a livejournal user, I highly recommend joining the Lacuna Coil (http://www.livejournal.com/community/lacunacoil) community. It's cool to read other fans' concert reviews [they even post pics!] and there's a fairly large base of LC fans to talk with. Nothing but good stuff. :)

Yeah, me too. But it must be great for LC. I've heard their name mentioned in nearly every Ev thread on other boards, so the curiosity factor would have to make a big impact on their underground popularity since Ev is selling through the roof. Sometimes the comparisons can do good rather than bad.

I was reading a LC interview a while ago and they told their opinion about Evanescence

They said everybody was telling them Evanescence was copying their style so they heard it and thought Evanescence remember them but also remembers Linkin Park, although they also said they only heard one song from them back then (guess which one it was?)

I think LC and Evanescence are the same style of music, but they have their own style. What many metal fans say about Evanescence being copycat of Lacuna Coil (I did say it at first) is some kind of jealous feeling or maybe only hearing Evanescence few times. In my case, in the 4th day I heard Evanescence other songs, I could clearly see the differences, but the voice is almost the same

I don't think anyone is copying anyone. And honestly I don't think LC and Ev sound the least bit a like. They both have a unique sound and style which I like. But to me I think they are easily seperated as different. *shrugs* Just my opinion though.

I think people say they sound alike simply because they're both female-fronted metal bands, despite Lacuna Coil also having a male singer. In more entertaining news, I'm gonna go see them open for Type O Negative tommorow! I have a feeling Type O will be kinda boring (sorry if they're not, I'm not to familliar with their stuff beyond a couple MP3's I got) but 45-60 minutes of Lacuna Coil will be awesome.

Hey, I just finally (after 3 years) got to see Lacuna Coil live in Cincinnati, Ohio on Tuesday night, and I was so pleased with their show. ) It was only 45 minutes which was the bad thing, but they blew Type O Negative away in my opinion. Even my friend said the same thing, and he went to see only Type O Negative. I thought they sounded very good live, and they really have alot of energy on stage. And after the show I got to meet Marco Coti Zelati (their bassist) and he was so nice. He talked to me for a few minutes and shook my hand and was just really cool. I'd love to see them be the headliner the next time because they deserve it. Also for anyone who is curious, their setlist was....

Aeon
To Live Is To Hide
Swamped
Heaven's A Lie
Senzafine
Entwined
When A Dead Man Walks
Self Deception
Tight Rope
Daylight Dancer

Went to the show last night in St. Louis, technically Sauget, IL. Let's see...I got a spot up on the balcony on the side of the stage before the show and during the opening band, New Death Sensation. After their first song one of them yelled "We're New Death Sensation, and we suck." The first step is always admitting your problem. After a boring 20-30 minutes they finally quit and I made my way down for Lacuna Coil. I ended up on the left of the stage behind a couple people for the first few songs, from where I was I could only see Cristina, Andrea, the one guitar player, the drummer, and occasionally the bassist and other guitar player when they stepped to the front and away from the speaker blocking my view. I was behind some short people though so I think my pictures are gonna turn out excellent, I'll have them developed tommorow. A few minutes into the set some people moved and I got right up by the rail in front of the stage, so more great pictures there but I closer to the speaker so I could see a little less. The setlist was the same as the above one for Cincinnati, but I think Aeon was just background music as they walked on stage, they didn't actually play it. The show was of course great, but unfortuantely there only seemed to be a few other people there to see them, when they introduced the only song they ever wrote entirely in Italian someone yelled "Senzafine!", so there were a few fans there at least. The crowd did seem to enjoy them much more than the first band. To compare, from the balcony I could see most of the crowd, except the rest of the balcony, during the first band I saw no more than five people kinda nodding their heads, once LC started Swamped people began surfing up to the stage, though not nearly as much as during Type O. Speaking of which during most of their set someone from Type O was on the side of the stage talking to people so he stole much of the crowds attention, I'd be lying if I said I knew what was going on over there as I was watching Lacuna Coil's show. Oh well, during Type O's set I saw Andrea on the side of the stage so I went back down to try and get him to sign my Comalies book, no dice, back to the balcony. Type O wasn't bad, although the only songs I recognized where the encore, I Don't Wanna Be Me, and Black No. 1. The singer/bass player was quite appreciative of the crowd and seemed to be a funny guy. "We consider it an honor and a privelege to be here, I'm sorry it's a week night but I'd be happy to write you a note of abscence for tommorow for teacher or fuckin' boss." During some song a string on his bass broke or something and he had to switch, the guitarist says "You're supposed to change basses between songs." To this he replies "Yeah, well you're supposed to change your underwear every month." There was much moshing and crowd surfing taking place, and with that at least once injury, and towards the end he says "I'd like to commend the excellent security staff for catching you guys, if they didn't you'd end up with a face like mine." Then he compared himself to Johnny Carson or something, I don't know. Anyway the show ends after an hour and half, two maybe? I don't wear a watch, but the show was supposed to start at eight, again I don't know if it did, and it was close to midnight when I got out, I think it was at least, I stayed outside for a while and it was like 12:20 when I left. Moving on, I go around the side of the club by the buses, there's quite a crowd gathering by one which I eventually decide belongs to Type O, I stand off to the side so I could see people coming out to go to the other bus, eventually one of the guitar players comes out with some girl and he looked like he was heading over to the crowd so I stayed where I was, but he instead goes into the bus. Later on Cristina heads into the bus as he's coming out, me and I think one other dude go up to him, he apologized for being kinda drunk and the girl with him informed me that everyone was drunk. This was ok with me and he went back inside or something. Time passes and Andrea comes out, he signs Comalies for me to and says Cristina's inside playing pool. Nice guy. Finally the rest of the band comes out and there's a few more people around by this time, they do some signing and then Cristina and Andrea come back out, so I get her autograph and get some pics with band and head to Steak 'N Shake. The end.

quick edit-that was a long post wasn't it? Anyway has anyone noticed that Lacuna Coil features two guys named Marco and two named Cristiano? It's like They Might Be Giants, they're both named John and everyone in their band is named Dave, or Dan. I think Dan.

They're getting developed tommorow, just the one's of the show though, the ones from outside are on another role. I probably won't have time this weekend but I've been meaning to scan a bunch of Eva pics since last spring so I'll try and scan them all at once. My scanner is old and slow though, so I don't look forward to it.

Yeah, I believe that she is saying something at the beginning of "Self Deception" but I couldn't tell you what. I never asked Cristina about that song. I only asked her about the part in "The Prophet Said" where she keeps saying "it's my harmony" real quietly towards the end of the song (starting at 318 into the song)...she said that the rest of it was just her "harmonizing" and mixing it together.

The Half Life EP is included on the US release of Unleashed Memories.

I'll see if I can't find out what she says in Self Deception on an LC fourm I'm in.

Found the answer, the beginning of Self Deception is the chorus backwards "I don't know what to do, I'm not the reason" and so forth. I played it backwards, it's the exact same as in the rest of the song.

Haha, wow really? That's pretty cool that you figured that out. Good job man. ) Also as a side note...I can't remember if I've said anything or anyone else has, but in the new issue of Metal Edge magazine, their is a full-size color poster of Lacuna Coil in it. It's the only reason I bought the magazine, so now I have 2 Lacuna Coil posters...that one and one imported from Italy along with the autographed photo of them I have framed and on my wall.

Haha, I just quoted that to make you feel even more like a rookie because I am a mean person.

It's actually been there for like, a week, so I'm doubting anyone will buy it soon. It's got what, like, five or six songs on it, so the stingy bastards around here prolly don't wanna spend $11.00 or whatever for not a lot of music. In this case, it is a good good thing. That means more Lacuna Coil for you! And yes, I was being serious. I've read several times about you wanting the EP, so I wouldn't be able to take it with a good conscience.

Anyway, does anyone know a good lyrics site where I can look up their lyrics? I am too lazy to search for myself. :)

Pop Tartius (Jack)

Hey that's so sweet of you (well besides the part where you are teasing me for not being able to quote you". D But it's only right I help you out to. hehe go to www.darklyrics.com/l/lacunacoil.html that will be your lyrics from every Lacuna Coil album.

*Also...in case anyone else see's that site where the song "Lost Lullaby" is listed on the Comalies album and people wonder why it's not on their versions...I'll explain real fast. "Lost Lullaby" was a song that was cut from the album Unleashed Memories. It was recorded during that time, but didn't make the cut to the album. However, they decided to release it on the Comalies digi-pak special edition....but it was not released in America. It has a black cover though, and includes a Lacuna Coil poster and pin inside of it. And "Lost Lullaby' is the bonus track only on the special editions of Comalies.

When I initially saw the title of this thread, I groaned...but then I clicked on it and was surprised. Right on. On a Lacuna Coil site I swing by occasionally everyone hates Eva. And yet Evanescence fans love Lacuna Coil. It's not like they set out with the plan "let's sound like an obscure Italian band, become much more popular and make all their fans hate us!" It just happened that way.

They´re just jealous LC didn´t do it before
Believe me, it´s just that, and also metal fans around tend to dislike americans, so having an american band becoming the first gothic metal one to be successful is just disappointing, if not annoying

If Ev wasn´t famous they´d like it. And also, many of them only listened to Bring Me To Life.

I just signed up for the Lacuna Coil list... and I just introduced myself and told them what bands I liked... but I made the mistake of saying Evanescence. Everyone was like "just don't talk about Evanescence and you will be fine". I don't think they have the right idea about Eva... they think they are trying to steal Lacuna Coil's spotlight or something. You are right, if Eva wasn't famous, they wouldn't care. I love Lacuna Coil... it just seems like some of their fans are a little biased.

I think they're free to their opinions, most of the people on the board I joined actually listened to Fallen, didn't like it, and hate Amy because she claimed they were original. Honestly, it's not like Eva is the first metal band to ever have a female singer, they're just the first popular one. I just find it funny that LC fans hate Eva, and Eva fans love LC.

To be quite honest Ev and Lacuna Coil really only have one thing in common and thats the fact they both have amazing female vocalists in Amy Lee and Christina Scabbia. I hate it when people compare these bands because it just ain't right. There music is quite different Ev is a more epic band and LC they are simply Metal and damn good I might add. I love both bands. I've been listening to them both since well...1999 or so. The fact that most LC fans hate on the Ev fans is kinda childish but hey it's a "free" world. Oh yeah one more thing......for those of you that are trying to find Lacuna Coil Cd's go to Amazon.com they have most of them.

Awesome band. Very tight group of people. I love their synchronized headbanging during concerts. They're amazing to see live. Plus they're really cool with fans. Yes, I've been a member of the forums there for quite some time.

Anyway, I've got some good news for everyone, and some bad news for some people. The good news, under their current contract/next contract they're signed for another five records. Unless Comalies counted, then four I suppose. They're also signed to do a DVD at some point. Now the bad news. They'll be touring the US a bit more. Opening for Puddle Of Mudd and Smile Empty Soul. Two of the worst bands in the history of the world. Now sure, you could just go, see LC and leave, but they'll only get around 20 min set time, and the tour is supposedly three weeks, so I think this may be all the dates.

* 10/23 - Chicago, IL
* 10/24 - Detroit, MI
* 10/25 - Toronto, ON
* 10/27 - Boston, MA
* 10/29 - Pittsburgh, PA
* 10/30 - New York, NY
* 11/1 - Baltimore, MD
* 11/2 - Cleveland, OH
* 11/4 - Atlanta, GA
* 11/5 - Tampa, FL
* 11/6 - Orlando, FL
* 11/8 - Charleston, SC
* 11/9 - Norfolk, VA
* 11/10 - Philadelphia, PA

On the upside, the Chicago show is at The Metro, so if you do get to see them play a brief set, it'll be in a small club. There is a bright side though, but just for a few of you. After that ends, they'll be headlining ten US radio shows. At least I was told ten, maybe that's all they've booked so far? I've never heard them on the radio here so I don't think St. Louis will get a show.

Katez0r

I really don't see the logic behind this. LC is just doing this for the exposure, or rather I suppose Century Media put them on the tour for the exposure, but it's quite obvious that fans of LC really hate Puddle Of Mudd, and I doubt the people that waste their time on them are going to enjoy Lacuna Coil, you'd think they'd open for, you know, a metal band or something. I bet they got a lot a more fans out of the Type O/Anthrax tour than they do with this.

Wow. How crappy is THAT. I'm probably with the vast majority of people in that I'd LOVE to see Lacuna Coil, but don't think it would be all that worthwhile if a) they only get a short set as an opening act, and b) the other bands aren't worth seeing.

Or you could try ordering from the century media site or Amazon.com.

Your best off ordering anything directly from Century Media, it's cheaper than even Best Buy, which does carry it. When I went to get it they were out though, I went across the street to the mall and had to pay nearly $20 at Sam Goody. :evil:

On to more important matters: The POM tour is off, as was already stated. Basically the option was there, LC thought it was going down (which is why we did) but the POM people can't seem to get their shit together and their very poorly organized tour is going to be LC-free. Instead Lacuna Coil will be doing a Nov-Dec "mostly headlining" tour with as many radio sponsored shows as possible, focusing mainly on the much ignored west coast. I'm just hopping St. Louis is west enough, they came here while doing the east coast thing, but we're pretty much in the middle. Also on Dec 27th they'll be playing a special Christmas show at The Asotria in London, not a tour, just this show, with a bunch of other Century bands opening.

But IAR is great in that it has nine tracks that are all amazing. I especially love "Circle", "My Wings", and "Falling Again".

I love In A Reverie also. "Falling Again" and "To Myself I Turned" are my favorites off the CD.

To Myself I Turned is one of the best songs ever
in my list, it only loses to Beauty And The Beast, from Nightwish

Is it true they are airplay at 63 stations across US? wow!
And for those who have already listened, is it something like being played at 1am or is it at normal listenable times?

I don't listen to radio. Especially since Clear Channel reformatted the only general rock and punk station in this area to a [c]rap and r&b station. Cuz apparently the 4 we already had weren't enough. There is one station that would play them and I know they were giving away tickets for them and Type O when they played 45 minutes away but I never listen to that station long enough. Too many 8 minute long songs. From what I understand, though, Heaven's a Lie has been getting decent play in Boston.

True. I listen to the radio very infrequently, but occasionally I'll hear LC when I do. AAF seems to like them enough, they had the band in studio for the acoustic songs (which I posted links to somewhere a few pages back), and they played the Locobazooka show when it came to... wherever it was haha.

Mmm... "Tight Rope"

w00t! Glad I don't have to go to see another amazing band by myself... :rolleyes: dumb friends here at home passed up the chance to see Ev live for FREE...I think it was like their 3rd show of their very first tour....and I went all by myself. I enjoyed the hell out of the show, but I had no one to share it with :( I am so THERE when LC comes back to Cali

As it was previously announced by me and someone else, the tour with Puddle Of Mudd did not work out. Puddle Of Mudd's crew decided that they didn't wanna tour with Lacuna Coil. They could have used the exposure, but oh well. And also, the current tour that is being planned right now and that was just posted here is supposedly going to be a headlining tour. Finally! (although they will be no where near me) cry

Alright here's the whole story as I've been told, from a dude that's friends with the band.

The option to tour with Puddle Of Mudd was presented, the band wanted to get seen by some bigger crowds and thought it was going to happen, but apparently POM had just mentioned the idea or something and it didn't happen. Originally after that tour they were supposed to do around ten US headlining shows sponsored by radio stations. Now that the POM thing isn't happening they were supposed to be doing a mainly West Coast headlining tour, the dates I already posted are all the curenntly known dates, and considering the small cities they're playing and the emptiness of their schedule in Decemeber, it's looking like it'll be more of a nationwide tour than they've been playing. Those are all very small clubs, and the tickets are all very cheap, and all headlining. I heard something about The Killing opening, I don't know if that applies to all the shows or if that's changed recently.

edit-two new dates today
Club Raven on November 30th in Edgerton, Wisconsin
Oasis One Sixty on December 2nd in Chicago Heights, Illinois

I'm hoping St. Louis is after that one.

Good point. I would have thought Hanson would have broke up by now, does anyone follow them? And how did they get to play a club 18 to enter, their youngest probably still isn't 18.

me40
10-26-2003, 08:34 PM
Yes, that whole "Even though one of us is still underage, we're gonna play this club" thing confused me a good deal. The rest of the dates on their club tour were all ages, I believe. But a lot of their fans are like 19, 20, now. It's been what, 6 1/2 years since 'MMMBop' came out?

And nah, they're not broken up. The new album is coming out some time early next year, February or so. Katie digs them too, she might know.

Colin
10-26-2003, 09:33 PM
I found it puzzling how Hanson would do an 18+ show as well, but... my sis is almost 19 now, and she probably would have been 12-13 when her big Hanson obsession first started... so it's not AS weird as it first seems.

I'm lucky that I never really liked music enough until recently to worry about going to 19+ (as they are here) shows. I think the first time I actually wanted to go to a concert was Tool in November '01, but I didn't because I had a midterm and at the time felt it was more important than seeing Tool live. :? *still kicking himself for THAT move*

Back on topic... somehow...

If only this band would come out here...it looks as if there's PROBABLY western dates to be announced, however... I can't see them crossing the border.

What's pretty cool is the fact that since I haven't bought many CDs recently, I'm appreciating a lot of the ones I bought during the summer a lot more than originally. Lacuna Coil is increasingly becoming one of my absolute fave bands. Many thanks to the people here talking about them and exposing me to something new and damn cool. :)

If they figure out I'm underage they can take away your license (in my case permit...) until you're 18 and it's not likely but if I can go to the next show legally, why not? But I'm reconsidering trying to get into Cambridge. I dunno, maybe.

Cristina once worked as waitress in a pub where I used to go and she is friend of a friend of mine, I see them sometimes in some pubs at night.
I didn't know they were going to America, I hope they'll get famous 'cause they're really a good live band (also if I find their albums not very well producted talking 'bout sound... but if they become famous they can get money for better recordings).. ah and one thing I don't really like of them is the male singer, he is definitely not good :P (even if we have some friends in common too)

There is already a music video for "Heaven's A Lie". However the band and record label were not happy with how the first video turned out and have decided to make a second video (this time it's being taped in Sweden) so that they can give it to more major chain stations to play, like MTV (Money Television). Personally, I think "Heaven's A Lie" is one of the worst songs on Comalies, and it has run it's course. The vocals for that song are very weak and don't do Cristina's voice justice with Andrea singing with her in the chorus, drowning her out. They need to go ahead and start making the video for the next single they are gonna release. That one is going to be for "Swamped" last I heard.

And I don't mean crappy old, hid it in their crotch cameras. I mean people who had photo passes with NICE digi cameras. And I can't believe they played Angel's Punishment. Only thing that could have topped the night was if they also included Comalies in the setlist. Plus, their bassist, Marco (and Cristina's long time boyfriend) was sitting with friends from the area for most of the show. Yes, they all have jobs besides being in the band because in the music business, unless you have a record deal with a major label, you don't actually make that much money. If an indie band finishes the year covering all the band's costs with their earnings from record sales - tours etc., it means it's been a good year. And if you're lucky enough to make some little extra money for yourself (besides covering the band's costs), then it's been an excellent year.

Of course, they all have on and off jobs besides the band, they can't have a steady job because of course they need to step aside from it when they go on tour or when they go to Germany to record their albums. Maybe sometimes the bass and the drums parts are recorded here in Milan, so that when they go to Germany they have to record only the guitars and the vocals and then they can focus on the production (not all the bandmembers go to Germany everytime).

When she's in Milan, Cristina works as a waitress in a few bars... so watch out for that! If you ever happen to be in a Milan's bar, you may have the Goddess come bring your drink to you!

I went to the Cleveland Lacuna Coil show last night. Since I already had my review typed up for another board I thought I would share it with you too!

Here is my review:

The Lacuna Coil show was at a small club called Agora. There were only about 100 people at the show. There was a small stage and seats to the left of it. I didn't really feel like being on the floor so I sat right next to the stage in a chair. I was so close to the band the entire time. My section was the wildest so we had a lot of fun.

The show started off with a local band called MakeShift. They were pretty good. They sang about five songs.

Then came Dog Fashion Disco... *sigh*. It was hard to sit through. Pretty much it was a "metal" band with a keyboard that was playing some type of carnival music in the background. I didn't want to move while they were playing because I didn't want to lose my spot so I just sat through their performance.

Then Lacuna Coil came on. The crowd finally started to have fun when LC came out. All of the guys were wearing matching back shirts and Christina had on really baggy black pants and a black shirt with a purple corset over it.

Everyone was really into the music and having a great time. I think the band had a great time too because of all the energy in the small room. It was an amazing show. I think LC is the best live band I have ever seen. They are such great performers. They really put on an amazing show and sound great.

Here is the set list as I can remember it. I was having such a good time I blanked out a little! This is in no real order because I can't remember.

Set List:
Swamped
To Live Is To Hide
Angle's Punishment
Entwined
Senzafine
Humane
Self Deception

Encore:
Heaven's A Lie
Daylight Dancer

If anyone has questions just ask me. Did anyone else on the board go to this show? If so what did you think?

I will post some of the pictures I took later on when I have some time.

They played the Ghost woman and the hunter???? sheet... I love that song. Oh well, we got more old school stuff. And Tight Rope. One of my favourite songs.

For our show the setlist was (in order):
Swamped
To Live Is To Hide
Honeymoon Suite
Entwined
Humane
Self Deception
Circle
Angel's Punishment
Halflife
Senzafine
Tight Rope

Encore:
Heaven's a Lie
Daylight Dancer

Cristina was wearing a basic long sleeve shirt and this awesome skirt. It had two layers to it with the top layer having holes for attaching to your hands. She took those off towards the end. I've seen some of the pics my friend took and they're awesome. Can't wait till he gives me some to use for my senior project. The guys wore the same things as always.

whoops, that was a mistype. They didn't play Ghost Women and The Hunter... though I wish they had. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I was half asleep when I wrote the review.

Errr... I dunno. Every song I've listened to of theirs I didn't like too much. But I DID really like this one song called "Angel's Punishment". Otherwise, I'm not a very big fan of them....

I was at the Cleveland Agora show! I was on the floor against the stage standing right infront of the bassist (i'm asian so it's easy to spot me). They play heavier everytime i see them. The drunk guy yelling stuff was kinda funny. Dog Fasion Disco was alright, better than Makeshift. Oh I grabbed the set list and it was:

Swamped
To Live Is to Hide
Entiwned
Honeymoon Suite
Self Deception
Humane
When a Dead Man Walks
Halflife
Angel's Punishment
Senzafine
Tight Rope
Heaven's a Lie
Daylight Dancer

Whoo-hooo! They're coming to St.Louis on the 29th! I MUST go. I couldn't go the last time they came. :( My parent's won't let me go to the venue they're playing at so I'm going to have to lie and really hope I don't get caught. If they find out, I'll be grounded and won't be able to go see Mitch Hedberg and Deftones. :shock: My sister won't take me and Squirrel Woman because she doesn't want to get in trouble. So I'm praying that her dad will agree to go with us. *crosses fingers*

Yeah... that’s who I had to stand by the entire show. The drunk guy kept yelling in my ear and then took off his shirt when LC came out. He also offered me beer... and I didn't even know him. Weird people. If you saw that girl to the right of him... yeah that was me.

lol, I think I look 15... but the drunk guy thought I was 19 so I guess I can't even tell my own age. I have these pictures below, tell me if you see yourself in any of them!

I have some of my pictures from the show up if anyone wants to see... here you go! Please do not use the pictures on any other site. Thanks! :heart:

Are you the one wearing a black hoodie? I can only see the back of your head in my pictures if that’s you. Your Yahoo pictures don't work. :(

No, unfortunately I didn't get to meet them. We were so close to the stage because it was a really small place.

I discovered LC more than a year ago, and fell in love since. My first song I heard "MY Wings" from the In a Reverie album, but "Heaven's a Lie" did it in for me. I saw two gigs of theirs, both in Philly. I own all their albums, except for the LC EP, which I have a burned copy of.

I meet the guitar player Cristiano during the other bands sets, and he was an incredibly nice guy. Everyone of them were pretty much hanging out around the bar during the other bands, talking and socializing. Marvolous band in concert, and I can't say that enough.

And Cristina is a super nice woman, and so gorgeous in real life. I got to talk to her a bit after their gig.

Here's a review of it, two weeks ago about. The first time I saw them was with Tapping the Vein. I was also supposed to see them earlier this year with Opeth and Paradise Lost as well, but their immagration papers didn't go through in time.
