I guess I finally caught on with the bandwagon years later..
I just made a Livejournal account that goes by the name of SomebodysSnail. I tried to make the user info section/biography a little bit creative, but I think it would confuse people and make them think I'm weird instead. But that's alright :D
I have absolutely no clue on how to work this stuff and apparently, I chose a thing where my journal looked like I was some Miami Dolphins fan until I changed one of the blues to a green. I'm going to try to figure this shit out tonight, they sure do make it confusing.

www.thefacebook.com is a way to connect to other people at your college. You can put all your college info on there from what dorm you live in and what your major is to what classes you're taking. It's not available for all colleges but mostly the major ones right now. You can then form groups with people with common interests and have boards like this one or you can connect to people who have the same classes as you. Seeing as some of the classes at USC where I go, there are well over 100 people in your class and you don't know who everyone is.

facebook is a cult here. People spend hours at a time looking up people and searching for other people in their classes; since you can get all of their info, it gets to be really easy to e-stalk somebody who lives across campus.
