softer stuff... well mira (mira.nu (http://www.mira.nu)) is definitely more mellow, I dunno about softer. I can't really think of anymore 'unknowns', except maybe the rocking horse winner (not a lot like evanescence, but female fronted), they don't have a site anymore though.

and here's a shot in the dark and a bit of a shame[ful] plug, but try listening to some of my music (signature), might be the kind of thing you're looking for, I dunno.
