October 2004 will bear witness to the long awaited return of one of metal's greatest exponents, Machine Head. The last time the band toured Australia was in support of their incredible debut, Burn My Eyes. It is fitting that they return with Through The Ashes Of Empires, the album universally acknowledged as the true follow-up to Burn My Eyes, and their greatest effort to date.

Never being one to shy away from the brutal option, Robb Flynn and the boys have dispensed with the services of Ahrue Luster, replacing him with Bay Area thrashmeister and Violence main man Phil Demmel. The result is a return to the crunchy riffs reminiscent of Davidian and a high intensity live show which has the likes of Metal Hammer declaring the band at their all time peak.

The giant has been awakened and it is mighty f**king furious!!!

Devolved have been confirmed to play the brisbane gig . not sure if they playing all other states as well. but it'll be awesome for em. considering they're permanently moving to LA soon . :( bastards

I went on Saturday & scored Robs Pick & lotsa drink ova me, he said u qld guys suck & can't catch drinks lol
