it was a short set but worth it.
I like all of the songs from their last album, "The End Of All Things To Come" and some from their old album.

me personaly i like all kinds of metal... ozzy, mudvayne, disterbed ect but my favorite band is mudvayne... they put on kick ass shows for their fans and not to mention go out of their way to make sure everyone is safe in the mosh pits... their was only 1 serious injury at their concert last summer and that was when i rolled my ankle trying not to get kicked in the head in the muddy moshpit..:) so who likes this band or any metal music... That's funny, I heard that Killswitch had a GREAT live show (from several people) *shrugs* I knwo they're good on CD.

I'm not much of a metalhead anymore. I used to listen to a bunch of death metal bands. Now the only death metal I listen to is In Flames. Dunno why, my taste in music suddenly softened. I still listen to thrash and stuff like Metallica, just no screaming vocals. I like Mudvayne's second album. Their music became a lot less heavy.

it makes a good dust collecter, coaster or frisbee for the cd/dvd... lol... i geuss they did that to see who their "true" fans were... and i saw their concert attendence went down cause of the cd.. that suck but they are set for the rest of their life...

Personally, I can get with most kinds of music except most classical and older "twangy" country but my favorites are from Mudvayne, Slipknot and of course Evanescence.

IMO, Metallica's music's been getting worse and worse since the Black Album, yet they're still as popular as ever. The Unforgiven 2 and King Nothing were the only good tracks on Load and Reload, and there's not a single song that I really like on St. Anger (I haven't heard them all though).

I listen to Metallica, Tool, Meshuggah, Pantera and System Of A Down. Those are the main metal band's i listen to.

I listen to all types, but mostly gothic and power metal.

Lacuna Coil, Type O Negative, Lollipop Lust Kill, Opeth, Nightwish, Epica, Draconian, Rammstein, too many others to mention.

I don't really do moshpits, I'd rather headband and listen to the music.

I've never heard mudvayne, but I like metal. I listen to a lot of different kinds, death, black, thrash, progressive, etc.
Lately I've been getting more into the local scandinavian scene, and discovered that we have a lot of good bands here as well ;)

About P.O.D. I say they're not metal, and they never were. I've never heard anyone call them metal before, and I've hung out at the official site for years.
Rapcore/hardcore is what I've always heard them called.
And don't say I'm not a fan, I have 13 CD's with them (singles and promos included).

I don't think POD it's metal at all, they don't have the basic metal riffs or beats either the philosophy.
Also I saw someone mentioned Misfits as metal... they do hardcore/punk.
And finally metal is a metastyle, none of the bands you mentioned are just metal, they have a particular sound of it like death, black, heavy, glam, industrial, etc...

In 2002, they were nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance, for their song "Portrait". It does sound metal to me.

However, P.O.D. is not just metal. They are also rap, hardcore, funk, alternative and reggae.

Jason and Rocky were never band mates, Rocky took over Jason's positiong after Jason left the band (incidentally, Jason never left L.S. exclusively to join POD, he left LS several years before he joined.) Any other questions about LS and their history should be submitted to me, I've been into LS for their entire career.

i first heard something from mudvayne on the kerrang "field of screams" album. the song's "fall into sleep" and i think it's awesome. my fav bands include:

and some more. i know some of those arent netal but, meh, i'm not totally metal-liking!

I've always found metal either incredibility antiseptic or played by kdis in bad need of Prozac. The only exceptions I've ever really liked are the bands who have blended the genre with other things. Quicksand, Into Another and Helmet are two great examples. They fused metal with Fugazi-ish post-hardcore, and that added a bit of reggae and dub to the mix as well. It was a great contrast to the distilled aggro-emo of bands like Texas Is the Reason and Farside and the DC guitar rock that also fell into the post-hardcore genre.

Godsmack is def my fave band. I so cant wait to see Mudvayne live in late August!! There was some other band I wanted to see, but I cant member for nothing.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Mudvayne isn't metal- nu metal perhaps, but then again it's a generic genre that is quite annoying in their attempts to create actual music.

Mudvayne will be touring with Sevendust and 10 Years for the Masters of Horror tour. They'll be the headliners.

MudVayne owns. I was rather disappointed by their new album, though. Fav. album is End of all things to come, by far.

I've been getting into Mudvayne lately. I don't really have a favorite song yet, because I haven't heard all the songs, but I enjoy listening to them...I really like their sound. It's like heavy, but not too heavy.

i went to the masters or horror concert in chicago.

mudvayne was AMAZiNG. they were seriously awesome. sounded great & the crowd was really pumped.

Ah! I love that song. One of my faves ever since I got the album, and Forget To Remember.

forget to remember is a GREAT song! i'm happy that fall into sleep is going to be the next single. great choice. cant wait till they cme back to chicago.. hopefully soon.

i love forget to remember aswell. Silenced is awesome aswell. Fall into sleep was my favourite song off the new album so cant wait to see the video for it! :)

O.K., I like Mudvayne and everything... but that video sucked. lol

You wanna think about something funny? Just a few years ago, I didn't like Mudvayne. I can't even put my finger on what exactly it was I didn't like, I just didn't like them...

Now it's a totally different story. I love their music, how raw and powerful it is.

That said, I guess they just managed to grow on me. :)
