I was listening to local rock station 106.5 The End, and the DJ was talkingg about how lots of people went down to Veterans square and showed support for out troops, local heroes, and stuff.. and all of a sudden...
*Piano intro*
Goerge Bush: On September 11th 2001 America was attacked,,, bla blah blah.
And it was during MI! I assume it was a 30 second commercial thing though becuase i went to turn it on in the living room and it was off.
earlier today i was thinking it would be AWSOME if they did that, becuase it sort of fits the mood for the song.
In June I did a project with that, I used a ton of video footage and mixed it all to play during My Immortal, people who downloaded it said they cried... I also aded some text in there I had written, anyways back on topic
Has anyone heard that before???? maybe in a diff. city?

I am certain that it was a local thing. Each radio station has several ways in which to do PSAs or tributes. I doubt that it was a national ad campaign. But I bet it sounded wonderful.

I'm in Canada, so... no. But I imagine it would fit. Even In Death might work too. 'Cept they wouldn't be able to do that, 'cause Even In Death isn't a single...

Oh man. I would've been in tears. :( It must have been beautiful, though.

I don't see how Even in Death would fit...
But that's just me.

It sounds like it was brilliant. I wish I would have been able to see some of the tribute stuff today.

the pretty much did the same thing here. They actually played the whole song all through the day... more than often. they always said something about 9/11 and then played MI

over here in the UK, we have some big charity days like comic relief and children in need and during a clip showing poor children in africa and such places My Immortal was played, and Bring me to life on another. Really gets the emotion forces going strong

I, too avoided the t.v. and radio, I basically just stayed on here yesterday, my mom and dad were watching a special on 9-11 on CNN, it was just too real and too scary to watch, So I put on the head phones and was listening to music, because I couldn't watch the footage and stuff, ya know? :(

That's why I kept myself busy. And kept my mind off Evanescence. Until Angie started acting like she was drunk and pretended to see Amy on my ceiling.

Sorry to laugh in such a sombre topic but OMG that was funny!!
I didn't see anything on 9/11 yesterday because... I didn't turn the tv on. Heard something on the radio but I'm really bad with dates and didn't remember it was 9/11 until like 7pm but when I did remember, I gave 2 mins silence to remember. I was so glued to the tv that day and the days following, much like I was when the Beslan Massacre occured... :(
My Immortal though, on tv with 9/11 footage, I'd've cried so much...

I'm in Colorado (US) and I heard a similar thing on the radio. It was MI playing with Pres. Bush speaking in the background and some kids talking about the attack and all that. It made me cry. What a fitting song to use for a tribute. It was very moving.

Pfft, as long as it's serving it's purpose:mad:

Was this an add to reelect Bush or was it simply a memory mix?
