Great show. I was a few days late (working abroad at the time) getting tickets, so had to settle for seats at the side but great view, especially with binoculars - felt like you were right up there on the stage with them!
Glitterati opened - not bad, rock n roll from south London. Seether were really impressive - great vocals and energy, and Broken was just absolutely superb. With the binocs I could see Amy sitting in the wings quietly enjoying the opening number of their set; she disappeared then wandered out later for Broken which was just the best part of their set by a mile!

Ev came on about 9.30 and bashed through all the faves off Fallen and some that didn't quite make it on. Won't spoil the set list for those going to Wembley! Suffice to say, if you all shout loud enough for the encore, you won't be disappointed!

My Immortal was definitely a "turning point" for the NEC crowd (apart from the hardcore in the pit who like me were there from the second Amy walked down the ramp onto the set for the opener) who came alive themselves for the rest of the set, and BMTL was electrifying. Just brilliant to see and hear. Can't wait for the next one. I wish we could turn back time and create an Ev debut world tour with Origin-al songs, that would be so superb as well.

Have fun if you're going to Wembley or Paris or Lyon or Montreal and all the other places in between. Wish I was going again!

Omg I went and it was amazing, I thought Glitterati were crap, Seether were amazing especially Broken, everyone was screaming.
I loved Thoughtless, Breathe No More, My Immortal and Whisper the best, omg how beautiful it was, thats the only word I can say to describe it.

Yeah it was awsome. Me n my m8 go well close to the front only like 2 meters from the barrior, it was awsome. The glitterati were awsome, i liked most of their songs, loved the rest. In my opinion they should have stayed on a bit longer and seether a little less, but i dont really like seether so thats prolly why. When ev came on it was just amzing, amy sang with so much energy and her voice was just awsome. The rest of the band too though, they all put in everything.

They were amazing! lol, I was on the 3rd row in the pit! I caught one of Rocky's drumsticks when he threw them out to the crowd! Well really it hit me in the face, and then I got it, lol.

I think Breathe No More was the best song, but I would say that as it's my fave Evanescence song. But the whole concert was excellent, I can't truely pick one song to say it was the best.

Amy looked amazing too!

I thought Glitterati wer crap!!! i thought it was a bit wierd how they just wondered on stage wen the lights wer still on and just started playin, with no introduction LOL Seether wer gr8 especially wen amy came on! did any1 else spot amy sitting at the side of the stage from the start of seethers set! I did and we wer like omg! then she went off to get her microphone! I love breathe no more, id downloaded it and i was so pleezed that she did it! she is soooooo good live and i loved her outfit!!! I wanna go again!!!!!!!!! did any1 see a blue flashing light in the crowd, cuz if u did that was me :)

OMG I met Amy Lee! Well this is a long story, but so cool, it was like the bestest day ever!

My and my two friends set off from my house about 1ish to Birmingham, and did some shopping in the BullRing, which was quite funny. Me being me accidently pressed the emergency button outside a lift instead of the button calling a lift... we had to kinda move very fast... i felt awful! lol. We were all bit tired cos we had, had our leavers ball the night before for college, but we soon waked up on the road to the NEC... it took as an hour to get their as we got lost, but we arrived about 6ish, grabbed some water, and were right down the front! (We had our standing tickets yeh yeh yeh!)

The gig:

First support act - Glitter...something? Absolute shite... his belt was ok, i guess? lol. Here is a tip... if they forgot a word, they could easily fill it with 'Motherfucker'... i was very bored!

When Seether came on... omg, they were awesome!!!! First couple of tracks, i really had to get into them, but then it got really good, and when Amy came on to do Broken, that really got the crowd going. She was wearing jeans and a top, looking gorgeous! That was just an awesome performance- so much better live I tell u!!!! The rest of their set was short, but by far the better songs, his voice is really cool. Their album is out in three weeks, defo buying it!

The wait in between sets always sucks, but we spent ages laughing at ppls clothes and stuff, cos ppl did take gothic look a tad to far lol. Felt a bit to trendy to be their at first, but I didnt really care lol.

Evanescence... on stage? What can I say? Unlike Wolvo gig, we could hear opening track Haunted, and the set was really cool this time (quite similar, but worked better). The tracks rolled into each other, really wkd songs :-) Some covers, which im gonna find out what they were... one opened with some really cool vocals from amy. She was really passioante last nite, and out of the two gigs Ive seen, defo the best vocally. Bring Me To Life, had a new life for me last nite, really cool energy. My Immortal had ppl crying, it really is a lovely song... it was funny when the piano was getting stuck on stage tho, instead of going down... they may wanna sort that out lol.

It all went really quick, as it did last time, and the wait for the encore was simply torture, dunno what the first encore track was, but it was really well fitted their, and then I can never remember what they finish with, cos im always like ARGHH, but it was a track from Fallen :-)

Afterwards, SOOO needed the loo, but by this point i had lost my friends, and got forced to go out the wrong door of the arena, but luckily for me it was the TOUR BUS AREA.

The Meeting:

My friends were really angry i hadnt come out the same door as them, so I got their posters they wanted so they werent to mad, but they still hadnt found me, and i WAS NOT moving from tour bus area, when they found me they were kinda like oooo, as they hadnt believed I was actually at tour bus area, and we decided to wait anyway, cos my friend needed to rest. We'd missed the bus to the parking, but we didnt give a shit by now, and so we waited, and ppl dwindled off with lack of patience, and we got more excited, then security said the band would sign 1 thing for everbody, but we had to get back behind the barrier. My friends SO forgave me now for getting lost lol (i kick ass for my stupidity!)... and Amy started at the other end (Got a cheer as she came out) and the lads started are end, and they sed, 'yeh yeh, we know 'WE LOVE AMY LEE', 'WE LOVE AMY LEE' and were just laughing, they were well cool. Some1 showed them kerrang which was out yesterday, which im gonna go buy in a minute, and they sed they hadnt seen it yet, and were like oooo. Security werent very happy as i was too close to one of them lol, but they were cool. Security was really tight.

It hadnt been when we went in, i shud have taken my camera, but it was nice not to be distracted by taking pics this time, i gotta say.

Anyway... back to MEETING AMY LEE! So, I got like two/three of the guys autos, and then Seether's leadman (his name has just escaped me, shaun...thats it - thanks my msn chatmate lol) He wrote 'kill techno' by his auto which was totally wkd, and we told him we'd see him when they tour later this year, and also thanks so much for a wkd gig. He was ace- he took pics with a couple of kids, even though security were like NOOOOO PICTURES. lol

Then- Amy was coming up the line- I could have DIED. some1 asked her for a hug, and this started everybody off- but she was happy to do it, and i think she would have been happy to sign more than one thing, and have pics. ah well! It was great all the same. When she got to my mate, my mate was like 'ur so awesome' and amy was like- thank you, and gave her a wkd hug. My turn... i just babbled- but SENSE lol. I told amy this is the second time ive seen u guys, and ur totally awesome. Her hug was really like a squeeze- a proper hug, she was so sweet. No make up on- and she is gorgeous- her eyes r like WOAH. So yeh ev dudes- WE LOVE AMY LEE lol. She wa signing the back of my poster, and then i remembered 'could u sign this to paul please' and i thought she hadnt heard, but she kinda looked at me, and my other mate sed she just gave a cheeky smile, wrote my name, then looked for my reaction when i gave it back, and then as she moved on, she looked back and smiled again :-) how cute? I was like woah. My other friend, just got her autograph and was just like wow, this is cool :-)

So, off we went... VERY CONTENT. But as we had missed out bus to the parking, and had no idea where we parked- we had to walk and walk, until we asked some ppl at one parking zone for help, and some1 came and picked us up and took us to our car. but just before this, when we were walking, my friend made me kiss this huuuuuuuuuge billboard of the new single... and the tour buses went past. lmao. embarrassing, but i dont reckon they saw cos the turned corner just after it happened. Then we saw them go into their hotel, it was such a cool night :-)

I cant hear out of my right ear at the mo, but id give my left ear's hearing to meet Amy and the guys again, it was such a wonderful experience xx

Birmingham gig has gone down as the second best night of my life so far (the actual best night being the first time I saw Ev - Birmingham was the second time I've seen them :D ). I couldn't stop laughing when the piano didn't go down properly.
To be honest I thought Glitterati were quite good considering they were the 'support act for the support act', at least they took the piss out of themselves a bit and they didn't have their heads rammed up their arses.
As for Seether... well, I got to admit the only track of theirs that I actually enjoyed was 'Broken', the rest of their songs just sounded very 'same-ish' to me, and in fact at one point I hadn't even noticed they had switched to a new track, I honestly couldn't tell were one track ended and the other began. Not to mention their mic problems. Still, they were alright overall - just not 'to my taste' I guess - I'm not much of a metal-lover.
As for Evanescence, I couldn't fault them at all. I am forever amazed by Amy's vocal abilities. The previously mentioned piano was funny as hell, the lighting and stage were what I expected (since it was all exactly the same as last time), but that's not a bad thing. In fact the only negative things I can say about Ev's performance was that they didn't hype up each song as much as I think they could have done. Like, while the crowd went wild and cheered the second they heard the intros to 'Bring Me to Life' and 'My Immortal', I think it would have been good if they had also got the crowd going like that for every track, like done a bit of an intro to it or something, made a big deal out of every song. Also, it was a shame when I looked around me (I was seated about halfway up the side and fairly close to the stage but at abit of an angle {block 17, row N, seat 38 if anyone cares}) and saw that almost nobody around me was even moving. Two girls in front of me were on their mobiles texting and didn't even look at the stage. All the way through 'Breathe No More' some smacktard in the row ahead was trying to chat up some girls he obviously had only just met and was trying to get them to hold his hands, which was damned annoying. Even when Amy told everyone that she wanted to see everyone's hands in the air, most of the people around me barely moved. It was a real shame that when I looked around me at the end, only I, a few girls ahead of me and a few rows at the back were actually standing up. Still, that's not Ev's fault. I just wish that Amy (or John, when he had a mic for BMTL) had told everyone to get up on their feet. I just know if one of them had said something like that then everyone would have bothered to stand up. Oh well.

Small audiance-related problems aside, Ev were fantastic.

I Thought the show was AMAZING! "Broken", "My Immortal" and the encore were all out of this world. Of course Amy Lee was also out of this world, the way she preforms is just out if this world! I can't wait for Evanescence to come back to the UK.
