ok i want to make a cd with digital pictures on it, only somethings wrong. everytime i try to burn a cd, it doesnt work, it wont finalize or something. i have 2 burners (cdwriter ide5232 and optorite cd-rw cw4802). i have nero, roxio and windows xp that i used to burn the pictures on. nero and roxio goes thru the whole burning process and says it was successful but the cd is still empty, winxp gets to the point of finalizing then stops and says error cannot be done.

i dont know the problem, will someone help plz???????? :confused:


a friend told me it may have something to do with the settings (like on nero it says image recorder and its supposed to say something else???)

any comp geniuses that could help??? plzz!!!!!!!

For Roxio, usually you have to make a data cd. Then you add the pictures. I don't think you necessarily have to finalize the whole cd though, just the 'session' I think it's called. If you're already doing that, then I think your CD burner is fucked up. =\

Try to burn cd from xp windows program.
-put a blank cd-r to drive,
- open the Programs - windows explorer and select the pictures do you want and in the left side of your screen click write these files to cd.
- When you're ready to burn cd, open the contents to cd-rw from My computer. You'll see the shortcut of your pictures. From the left side click write these files to cd.. try this ok?

Omfg. I killed like...2 cd burners. well. i know i killed ONE of them. I don't really know if the other was my fault...i don't know what the hell happened, but the result was that my "E" drive was gone. It was gone. I was like, "Oh shit!" There was the floppy drive and the harddrive icons and thats it. I was like, "WTF?!" I still don't know what happened but yeah...

We ended up buying another drive. But thankfully...we got a new, "modern" computer. I had that other comp since I was in like...4th grade. :rolleyes:
