My First suggestion is the punisher. Great wisdom and experience, with a little bit of edge, which would be a great addition to the mod team.

Biff kind of seems like he would be a great mod but I think he would have to maybe toan down some of his rudeness and be way nicer to people.

I know I never talked much on here, but she's been here since day one, she's involved, she cares about this community, and on top of that...she can be sarcastic and know when to stop. To put it as that one radio interviewer did..."the woman's got balls".

I also nominate her because my boyfriend is now fascinated with the word "boobles" and will use it at any point in a conversation if possible.

I'm very new here, so I can't name people, but do they need mods? I actually admin my own vb forum, so if you know any members that have great personalities and tact, and are also generally CAPABLE, lol, that's key for vbulletin software. Because there's a technical side to vb. It took a few hair ripping experiences for me to start requiring my mods to demonstrate ability to use the software as well as benefit the community :)

I'm dead serious. He is in LOVE with the word "boobles". He'll see a girl on TV in a bathing suit and yell "BOOBLES!" at the top of his lungs. *sigh* if Darwin were still here, I'd question if my boyfriend would survive.

I'd also like to nominate Katya. Again, involved in the community, experience with the group at large, knowledgeable, and nice without being too pliant.

I'd like to nominate Oscy. He'd be a really fair mod, and he's not one to hold grudges.

I agree. There are too many memebers on here with personal vendettas, Biff being one of them. I think we need new faces and people who are fans of the band, not Amy, not Ben or any of the previous members.

As long as the mod is someone who's had some sort of loyalty to the board and will be fair in their moderation I don't care who gets chosen.

Yeah I think someone new would be a good new start but yeah it should be someone who is very dedicated to this board and who really cares :)

Make no mistake, I've never once asked to become a mod here. Not that I couldn't run the show, just that there is a colossal amount of bullshit to deal with from all the kids. It's a full-time job in itself; one that I wouldn't care for, and one that would get old really fast. I'd follow Dhamma's footsteps soon after.. believe me.

I know I'm a prick and an ass on here the majority of the time, but I do have a level head... and believe me when I tell you (I can't stress or reiterate this enough), Katya is the last person this board should have as a moderator...

You just know Katya would keep you on a short leash and spoil all your assiness.

Katya and Biff are totally opposite ends of the spectrum. Katya is very nice, and Biff is an asshole.

But, this world needs assholes, and no one would be able to put n00bs in their place with a collosal pwning quite like Biff. The problem is Biff sometimes goes too far. People like Brittany, Gil, and Machinehead have been able to tell people off without becoming vulgar and highly inappropriate.

Katya has a vast knowledge of all things Evanescence, and furthermore knows the contents of this board like the back of her hand. Problem is, Katya does not like to administer beat downs when necessary. She can keep threads organized, but not necessarily keep people in line when they start acting up.

The mods on this board are in between these two extremes. Having to make a choice, I would rather see Katya be a mod, because we are trying to encourage friendliness here.

I don't know her personally, but I've seen her on Evclub/Evthreads, and she's very nice to people. and that's what this board needs now.

I will tell you all why Katya being a mod would be a monumental mistake.

Firstly, she has precisely zero sense of humour, which translates into her not being able to take a joke... at all. This has been demonstrated time and time again, and not just by me.

Secondly, she takes things way, way, way too personally. She cannot call things down the middle without her personal feelings affecting whatever sort of moderating decisions she has to make. This has been demonstrated countless times both on evthreads, and on IRC when she was around. Personal feelings have ZERO place in an environment where neutrality is promoted and enforced.

Furthermore, the only reason Katya is a mod on Evthreads is because her friends (whom are/were mods) slapped her with moderator status. She has done absolutely nothing to earn or warrant the position, let alone having any sort of legitimate recommendation short of clueless pre-pubescent teenagers raving at how supposedly "awesome" she is. The exact same thing is happening here. Hardly credible.

Also, if you interpret me stating facts as me disclosing personal feelings and "bashing" somebody, then perhaps you should reevaluate your outlook on how you'll be moderating this place.

What you stated was not a fact, it was your personal opinion. I never stated you were bashing anyone, I simply cautioned against this thread turning into a place where people are going to be bashed.

Now, let's stop dicsussing Katya (especially since she is not here to defend herself) and move on.

Add Broken_Rebel, PaleIsBeautiful and Katya to the moderating team and you'll be pretty much all set. I do not think, but I know that they'll do a great job and I'm sure you'll feel the same if you give them a shot at it.

I'm beginning to think this thread was a bad idea.
