Hello, was checking up on the album over at the LJ community for Ev and I noticed someone posted about this board. I decided to join. I probably won't post much as I don't do well with communicating with people online (socialphobia seems to leak into my online life sometimes). Just wanted to intro myself despite I will probably be a lurker for the most part. Can't wait for the new album to come out! I've been telling everybody I know. Especially my one friend who likes them too, weird considering most of the other music he listens to. But, he said he likes the fact she doesn't do that crap Christina and Britney do when they sing (no offense), lmao. Nothing much to say about me really. I am really nice ... blah, blah, blah. I am in college at Kent State in Ohio (graduating this semester). Ummm, other than Ev I listen to mostly crap (so many times I have been told "that's not music", lol). I did discover a band I think is great though because of this website that allows you to make your own radio station, I did mine based on Ev. So, it tries to play similar music and this band Within Temptation popped up that I fell in love with. *ahhhhh I am shaking because posting anywhere makes me so nervous* .... lol Ok, I am done. Hope I didn't give anyone reason to rip me a new one. ;)

Welcome to the board :) I love Within Temptation as well; check out their thread in the Other Bands forum!
Read the FAQ so you get a handle on the rules; once you know them, it'll be easier to know what and what not to do. They're basically common sense, but it's a good idea to read them over anyway.
You'd be surprised at the wide range in music tastes that people have here. Try us ;) What other kinds of music do you like?
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or another Welcome Committee member (we're the ones with yellow names). Eventually, one of us will be assigned to you personally to be your guide.

HI! Welcome to the board. You know I thought that I wouldn't say much here either cuz I am not a real chatty kind of person online or face to face but as you go through the threads you'll find things you want to reply to. I haven't posted to many, one here and one there. It's really pretty fun. So far everyone here that I have come across is super nice and they all have a wide range of interests. There are a lot of really great discussions on this board so welcome and have a great time.

Well, thanks everyone for being so nice. And, haha, you can make fun of me if you want, if it makes you laugh, then I'd be happy. :) I am stupid all the time around my friend just because he laughs at me, lol, and it is good to see him laughing. And, uhhh, I hardly want to mention the other music I listen to. Because, even though I kind of made fun of her (and have many times before just because I do) I do listen to Christina, even saw her in concert sadly, lol. I like some electronic/dance, 80's pop, and I am continually discovering new bands because of this website Pandora. I have discovered Europop. Then I am also into rock, which has been the majority of the concerts I have been to (and I can say I have way more fun at rock concerts than I did at Christina's *I just couldn't seem to have any fun and I don't know why, the music seems to be dancey but I don't know, I got so angry about that I cried, telling my friend I felt like I had wasted my money (lol)*). My favorite band after Ev would be Godsmack (people in highschool use to call me just that, lol, "Hey Godsmack" and for so long I even went by Moonbaby). Uhhhh, I love Disturbed and Staind. Mostly all mainstream, I'd think. Either mainstream in the U.S. or another country, doesn't matter either way I guess. I have seen Incubus in concert 2 times and have a lot of their cds, so I must like them, lol. My music taste has a wide range really. I will go and read that FAQ (though I have gotten away with many many boards never reading one because of using exactly what one person mentioned, common sense.) :) Anyway, got to run and steal a plastic spoon from somewhere. :) Thanks everyone! (btw, looking through the boards I see my taste isn't too far off from some peoples, YESTERDAY *love how this keeps happening* I discovered Lene Marlin *need to buy all her cds now*).
