If you're interested in going, we're hitting up Cereality (http://www.cereality.com/intro.html) before the show and grabbing some cereal to nosh on while we're online. (btwn 12-1pm)
There appears to be a Quizno's and a Taco Bell (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=fast+food+near+15+Lansdowne+St,+Boston,+MA&ie=UTF8&z=16&ll=42.345747,-71.095469&spn=0.00628,0.014634&om=1) within a few blocks of the venue as well as a Dunkin Donuts (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=dunkin+donuts+near+42+N+7th+St,+Philadelphia,+PA&ie=UTF8&z=16&ll=39.952122,-75.151806&spn=0.006514,0.014634&om=1) :), so a few people could go out at a time and get stuff. If you're 21+, there's a bar right next door that will let you use the bathroom (or at least did last time I was there)
After the show, we'll meet out front and try to figure out our plan of action. It's really hard to meet bands at the EF, since the buses are parked in a fenced in area that we can't get into.
If you have an issue with any of the above information, don't fret. I'm sure you'll come in contact with EvBoard'ers once you get online. Just keep a look out for EvBoard name tags :)
I have 1" EvBoard Buttons to hand out. If you would like one, you should hunt me down. Only one button per EvBoard'er though, please.

This so not fair! This is the closes concert to where I live, but it's still far away, and it's on a Tuesday, a school day. I'm never going to go! Does anyone know if they will be playing like at Cleveland or Pittsburgh? Or is this it?

They will be doing a buttload more dates after they get back from playing overseas so DON'T WORRY. I am so excited. I actually have never seen them for one reason or another and I am one of their earlier fans. Anybody know where to buy the tickets? Ticketmaster doesn't have them listed and they go on sale in a week. I'd also love to know the price. And when exactly do they go on sale? 12 AM midnight on the 19th? Will there be a presale? I hate presales because they seem almost pointless and always catch me off guard.

I am so there with you on this. The last time I went I had gotten two tickets, but couldn't find any of my friends that would go with me.
So I still have an unused ticket in my collection.
A few months after the concerts a few of my friends were telling me that they have started liking this new band Evansomething and then I said to them that EVANESCENCE was THAT concert that they didn't want to go with me. They called themselves dumb-asses at that point.
I did get to go with Denise from here at the EvBoard though and that was nice.
I've already sent an invite request to the concert to a friend who still has my Evanescence DVD. She said she wanted to go the next time they came back to Phila!!!!!
Let's see the CD comes out on 10/3 and the concert is 10/10.
I have a week to soak up the CD before the concert. It will be a labor of love. I think I'm up to the task. I'm gonna head down there earlier this time too.
See ya'll there.

I think I'm going to make it to the Philly show. If I do, it will be my first Ev concert. I'd like to do it the right way and go with some evboarders if you'll have me.
I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I'm a little intimidated about driving into cities, finding venues, and parking in a safe place. Is this easy to do with the Electric Factory? Not everybody is a city-savvy as the rest of you. Maybe you can help out a small-town evboarder and just let me know what to expect.

Psyche: The Electric Factory isn't the easiest thing to find, but the parking lot is right there in front of the building, and pretty safe. So don't worry about that :) Before the show, we'll be sure you are able to get there easily, too! *it is not even 7am now, or I'd do it right now. LOL*

It looks like the tickets will be going on sale August 19th.
I was looking this up last night from home and the sites that I found it at (evanescence.com, mtv.com, evanescence on myspace.com) all are blocked by my work internet filters so I can't go back to them to verify anything right now, but I know they go on sale on the 19th for this show. I think the 19th is the sale date for all of the shows too.

I would go to the electric factory if I knew people weren't going to act like idiots the way they always do, who moshes to My Immortal? Seriously, its really dumb. But since it looks like they'll be by themselves, perhaps it'll be a little more tame. The electric factory is not my favorite venue by far safety-wise, but for Evanescence, I may chance it.

Yeah I am also wondering if Ev will sign CDs afterwards. When I went to Electric Factory to see Shinedown and Seether both bands signed CDs after their lineup. But with Evanescence they aren't sharing the stage so it will be the whole entire place that wants to get autographs. I really hope they do because I'd love to say hi to Amy and get something signed!

They might not be co-headlining with anyone, but I can guarantee that there will be opening bands that I'm sure some people will want to check out. And not everyone who goes to a show wants autographs all the time, so if they do a signing (which I've only seen happen a few times at the EF) the you'll most likely be able to get something signed.
For instance, on the Crossfade tour, I'm excited to see Dropping Daylight, Mercy Fall & Revelation Theory but I'm probably going to leave before Crossfade comes on.

Why is that all us Evanescence FANS are seemingly all around, but then when a concert actually happends we can't find anyone to go to the concert with. We might not all be going together, but we'll be meeting up once we get there. If you can find your way there (with our without someone) you'll be meeting a bunch of people once you get there.
For whoever asked, there is parking right near and around the Electric Factory, so no need to worry about that. It's fairly easy to get to as well, off the highway.
So who's up for hitting Cereality (http://www.cereality.com/intro.html) with me and my peeps before the show? We did that at the Seether show we were at and just ate it on line..since it comes in these almost chinese food like containers. :)

You're best bet is to look for people wearing these (http://www.evboard.com/showpost.php?p=949871&postcount=50) or an evboard logo of sorts. Also, if doesn't hurt to ask if you're not sure.

I've decided to go. My first ev concert is long overdue. Taking off of work might be a problem (ends up the other evening shift girl is an ev fan too, already took off work for it) but my boss will just have to suffer. At the moment it's going to be me and 3 other people, but my other friends have to decide today if they're bringing someone or not.
Anybody that's worried about being in the city won't have a problem if they're around me. My ex-navy bf is insisting on coming along, he doesn't want me or any other ladies to go without some sort of protection :)
I am scared these tickets will sell out the moment they go on sale. I am hoping if I get them the moment they go onsale on ticketmaster.com I will be able to get some. I really don't want to spend an obsurd ammount on eBay.

I remember a few years ago when ToB was selling signed real copies of Origin and I cursed myself for not being able to go into massive debt and be able to offer more than $300 for it. And when I used to memorize Fallen by order and name and spend all my spare cash on any magazine that even had a sentence on Evanescence. My truly noobish days....

About the deciding what you're going to wear thing... fine I have, but I don't think it's that insane. The evboard shirt I made, the pants I wear to every concert I ever go to, and funky armwarmers so everyone can see my hands.
That's not insane. I didn't even think about it. They all go without saying.

Yes you get a great view from the Balcony depending on where you're standing! This is my first Ev show, but I don't see why you say drink lots of fluids and eat much. Electric Factory has a snack bar! You make Ev out to be some really crazy metal band lol. They can't be any worse than something like a Seether or Shinedown show right? I wouldn't be shocked if there are some tools there trying to mosh. The last EF show I had some guys try and start a circle pit behind me. yes, ev shows CAN get rough. if you get up towards the front, be prepared to get smushed. it WILL happen.

TooManyLies

Drink lots of fluids and eat because when you're being thrown into the people/fence in front of you and the body heat is clogging your senses you're less likely to pass out/throw up if you aren't dehydrated or have an empty stomach. Take it from me. November 2005, HIM, second row from the stage and I was getting smushed into oblivioun because people can't enjoy a god damn concert without getting high and acting like a bunch of damn morons with a fire up butts. So they mosh like idiots, start fights, and don't care about the little 12-15 year olds who can't defend themselves, let alone the 19 year olds who had the good sense to get there before 7 to secure a good spot (me). So they shove you until you can't breathe, and if your like me and don't eat or drink anything, you throw up all over the girls stuff in front of you, and security drags you out and makes you file a report deal, and then tells you, ok head back out, and then you are screwed because theres no way you're getting back to where you were, so by the time the act you want to see comes on, you're halfway to the back on the sidelines trying to see over a sea of bobbing heads. Take my advice kiddies, drink water, eat a sandwiche, and don't act like a damn fool and try to shove people around so you can get further up. You're only going to get shoved on your ass and trampled, which is also not a good thing. Why can't people enjoy concerts anymore? This is why I detest the electric factory.
LGF18
08-21-2006, 11:06 PM
Yeah I agree. Moshing is fucking anoying. I wish people weren't such idiots. Last time I was at EF it wasn't so bad. I was pretty close to the front, and the only time I fell or really got hit was when the lead from Shinedown told the whole place to squeez to one side of the room, and then on 3 try to get to the opposite side. Someone pulled me up the moment I fell thankfully.

i went to EF for a Staind concert in feb. no one moshed at all to his older, heavier stuff, like mudshovel i was surprised.
oo0o, don't plan on wearing any heavy metal belts or you are, DONT TAKE IT OFF. because my bf had a bullet belt and took it off when they scan him. they told him to put it in a box and come back to get it. after the show, his belt wasnt in the box..there was a whole bunch of pens and other stuff. that was so messed up. that is one this i didnt like about EF.
anyways..does anyone know the camera policies at EF? at the staind concert, there were a few but that might have been the meet and greet people. I just wanna make sure so on the day of the concert, i dont want my camera to be taken away.

Thats probably your best plan of action. In another 9 months or so I'll be able to hit the balcony (21+) but for this one....I dunno. I'm not even sure I'll go, just for safety reasons, I may see them on the second leg of the tour. Who knows. Its sad that a venue can totally kill a really good concert.

Two years later indeed...I think it's been that long since I posted...I didn't even realize that Will left the band! I'm so out of the loop!
Katya: Do you remember Penn's Landing? Where I was apparently two places in front of you in line or something crazy like that?? And how the storm passed JUST in time for the show? (Oookay, you probably have no recollection of that time, or the ridiculous person going off about it)
Katie: Even though I haven't bought an issue of Metal Maniacs for a 2 paragraph blurb about Ev in quite some time, (I'm not even sure that is a magazine, I'm proud of myself!) I will admit to thinking (okay, thinking incessantly) about concert attire and signage and arrival time (should we expect a mile-long line?) ...**do not shun me for my noob-esque-ness!!**
Tracie: Cereality! But of course! Provided they have soy and or rice milk...(don't mock the health nut!)
Pale Is Beautiful: I <3 AFI...admittedly I am a new fan, sucked in by "Miss Murder," but I adore "The Interview," and "Love Like Winter"...haunting...just picked up Sing the Sorrow today.
Kristen---are you lurking out there somewhere???
Back to the topic at hand...I purchased one ticket, as none of my friends are fan enough, or able to take the time from their schedules, so I'm a bit leary about going by myself. I've heard bad things about the EF, mainly in regard to the heavy volume of smokers, but I suppose it varies with the crowd.
No cameras...I was going to re-instate the disposable cam inside a *ahem* sanitary napkin wrap trick...Alrighty, there's a hint that I am thinking WAY too much about this...with that, I will exit for now. Okay, hold on, AHHHHHHHHH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!! Tee hee.

Actually, she does. Every who was there does. :) How could you ever forget this?
Sitting in front: Nessa (I think her name here was XxNessaxX?) and Maria (procrastinator-who's hiding)
...especially when it was raining ALL. DAY. LONG. LOL!

I do believe that have soy or rice milk. You could always call them up to check. :)

NO CAMERAS?!?!?! NONE AT ALL?!?! noooooooooooooooooooooooo
*sniff*
I know I'll have my cell, but in the dark and constantly being bumped around by people....there's no way I'm going to get decent pics. My cell has a video camera in it too, I'm definately going to try it out even though you won't be able to see anything.
No cameras...I was going to re-instate the disposable cam inside a *ahem* sanitary napkin wrap trick...
Does that really work? Genius
Moshing, smoking, no escape upstairs for underage me.....things aren't looking as great as I'd like them too.....at least I'll finally be getting to see Ev live
How soon can we find out about a meet-n-greet?

Hey Tracie--Thanks for cleaning up my messy post! (I got excited...so sorry!)
I'm of balcony age, but there's just something about the whole shoving to the front row experience, especially when you can get close enough to have Ben Moody spew water on your face (Pittsburgh '03)...sing the songs back to the band...and throw things on stage... :X
My parents went to see Natalie Merchant at the EF last year and said Natalie herself verbally lodged a complaint to the audience in the middle of the show for the immense amount of smoking. I believe they also said the venue was a "dump," or some other word along those lines...How is the view from the balcony?
I wish they would do Penn's Landing again. Despite standing in 2 inches of water all night, the atmosphere was perfectly conducive to a great show. I think people get along much better when the venue is NOT inside a building.

Ahem... I was there too! (Not that you'd know that...:) )
That was INSANE! We were standing in line in ponchos and then as soon as we get in it stops raining. Unfortunately that was a few months before I joined up here... I might have seen you guys and not even known it!
More advice: DON'T wear giant boots, even if it IS raining (not that it matters at EF, but... whatever) cause I wore work boots to the other concert and after jumping around in them all night my feet were KILLING me!!

I was but a few feet behind you guys for 4 hours in line and didn't know it lol. The rain thing was hilarious...everything....EVERYTHING I had was wet. Wallet, shoes, socks, boxers, you name it. It was worth it though as I only had one person standing in front of me for the entire concert.
As far as the Electric Factory goes, while it can get crazy I don't think it should stop people from going or ruin anyone's experience. For every jerk that's there there's a dozen nice people just there for a good time. I'm probably gonna be on the floor (my buddy and I are over 21 but his girlfriend isn't) so feel free to hide behind me lol.

No need to assume. There have been multiple articles and Rev Theory themselves have posted many bulletins announcing themselves on the tour. They are definitely going to be there.
Since it's about a month to the show, send me a pm with what shows you're going to be at (MA, NY or PA Only)
From there, I will compile a list of all the people attending each show and add it to the first post in the threads. After that, I'll set up a chat (one for each show) where we can discuss what is going to be going on and where we're meeting and what not. I will pm all of you the link to the chat room where the discussion is going to be held the night before the chat.

Ok So I thought id only be able to go to the nyc show right, well i looked at my schedule again and it was as follows.
Oct 9th -Leave for nyc at 5 am on the train Arrive- 7am , Wait for the hammerstein doors to open at 6:30 pm and enjoy the concert, possibly get some autographs. Stay over effectivley staying up all night in ny and exploring the next day before actually going home on the 10th.
HOWEVER. fate decided on other plans. Now im not only doing that but im taking a bus from china town on the 10th instead of exploring ny and hitching a ride to philadelphia to see The worlds greatest band again that night. Then the next day on the 11th i will catch a bus and go home.
All of this requires practically no sleep accept the 2.5 hrs on the bus going to and from the show. Im so excited i was able to pull a 75 dollar ticket off of ebay and im selling my balcony seat for the nyc show to Island bobo for the same amount so im not losing any money what so ever.
My karma must be really good to have pulled this rabbit out of the proverbial hat.:D  :D  :p

I'm going to try to pm people about this too, but in case I get tied up this weekend, here's the info on the chat.
Since there are quite a few of us that are going to all three shows, I figured it would just be easier if everyone from all three days were in the chat at the same time, and we'll figure out /finalize stuff that way.
Monday, October 2nd @ 8pm.
Link to chat (http://chat.parachat.com/chat/login.html?room=EvBoard&width=600&height=400&bg=7F7F7F&fg=BFBFBF&lang=en)
If you can't make it exactly at 8, no problem, I'm sure we'll all be in there for a while. If you can't make it at all, we'll be posting the final plans here.
To make it easier, when you log in use your user name from here and the abbreviation for the state of the shows you're going to.
For example, my name would be Tracie_MANYPA.
That way, we'll know who you are on the board and what shows you'll be going to, without having to ask.
Be sure to spread the word.

To summarize last nights chat:

Okay kiddos, Here's how it's looking for me.
I actually have to wake up at 4:45 tomorrow morning so I can be at work by 7 because I have a seminar to facilitate, but as a bonus, I get to leave work at about 3:15. I work at 17th and Arch street so I can hop on the el and walk from spring garden to the electric factory and get there shortly before 4 p.m.
It looks like I'll be by myself for a while, because I don't know when my friend Jess will be meeting me. Not sure what I'll be wearing... jeans and a black shirt of some sort. I'm sure that will be very helpful in assisting anyone who wants to talk to me. OH! something that MIGHT help is that I have an obnoxious red mock-croc faux-prada bag...
er. I mean, real prada bag.
Anyway, Thems my stats, people. ETA is 4 p.m. Black shirt, jeans, black and white pumas. obnoxious red bag. way-too-trendy glasses. generally antisocial disposition. That's me. Imagine Daria if she was chubby with caramel highlights and swoopy bangs.
Look forward to seeing you there :)

I'm going to get into Philly around 10am and heading to the zoo to work on a biology project. Don't know how long it will take me so I wanted plenty of time.
I'm going to safety pin an evboard logo on my tshirt (dunno about adding my PIB name to it yet). Look for a really pale girl with glasses and dark brown hair talking to a delicious blue-eyed male......most likely "talking" loudly but not exactly "fighting."
Question: what kind of parking can I expect in Philly? How much does all-day parking cost? I am NOT going to have a lot of funds left to spend on my car.

I'm barely ever around this place anymore, but I'll definitely be at either Cereality or the EF tomorrow, and I'm going to the show alone, so I could definitely use some company...haha..
Anyway, I'll be wearing a black shirt that has "Muerte" scribbled across it with a snake on it, and most likely some kind of ripped jeans and a black belt. I'm sure no one else going is wearing black, I dare to be original. Short brown hair. Your generic boy who looks like he should be playing football insted of rocking out to Evanescence. Yeah, that's me.

Just got home from the show. Revelation Theory were one of the better opening acts Ev has ever had...to be honest I think they outperformed Ev because you could tell that they were "hungry for it", where as Ev has already had that success and is just kinda riding that wave. Amy sounded great...best I've ever heard her actually. Rocky was on fire tonight as well. John was doing his thing but didn't seem to have quite as much energy as he usually has. Terry played perfectly....just isn't able to be very mobile. I feel bad for him cause it has to suck that he can't just rock out like before but I find it extremely couragous that he is still active in the band. Tim...well....Tim was there. lol
Got to meet Tracie and a bunch of other Evboarders who's names escape me. Some great people there. Had fun just relaxing in line all day. I've been to better (overall) Ev shows, but I think I had the most fun at this one.
Oh, got to meet the lead singer from Revelation Theory, Jack Wiese from Mourningside, and Rocky! Great guys. Could have met Amy but kinda hesitated...when you are a fan of someone and have heard so many mixed stories about her...maybe it's best to just call it a night and be thankful for the great show.

I just got back from the show. I survived my big trek out to the city and back without getting raped and murdered. Who would have thought?
It was my first ev show and I couldn't be happier. Front row, Open Door signed by Amy, and a newly acquired bottle of water. Amy's voice is clearer and more powerful than I knew. John's eyes are hypnotic when he plays.
Special thanks to Ceez (what a friend!!) and Tracie for the great company. Nice to meet some other evboarders as well. I had an excellent time!

Maybe I'm alone in the fact that I wasn't too keen on RT. I liked them better the first time, when they were called Disturbed. Oh well.
I think Terry is an extremely strong person to get up and do this every night. It broke my heart to see him standing so still the whole time--but you could see his eyes just going everywhere and taking everything in.
I actually liked Tim! Sure, he stood behind everyone else and didn't do much (save for being acknowledged at the beginning of lacrymosa) but he's definitely a great bassist.
Oh, and seriously, no one around me knew any of the words to any of the songs on TOD. As I sang every word to EVERY song, people looked at me like I had two heads or something, it was bizarre. Kind of how I felt back at the first Philly show when I was the only person singing along to Even in Death. When Amy said "I'm so happy to see you guys singing along to the new stuff! Thanks for liking the new stuff!" she really didn't get that much of a crowd reaction, which prompted her to say "...annnnd the old stuff. Thanks for liking the old stuff too." and the crowd screamed. I thought that was kind of rude, but funny. El Oh El.
Speaking of rude... the random people screaming out during Good Enough and My Immortal totally irked me. Am I the only person in the world who has any sense of concert ettiquette? I mean, I heard some guy scream out "AMY I LOVE YOU YOU'RE SO HOT" during good enough. I'd like to find that guy and kick him in the balls. It totally cheapened the song for me, and Amy definitely gave a WTF look while looking down at the piano (I was at a great angle for catching facial expressions.)
OH. when they started playing "The Beautiful People" i got SO excited. I hope they can develop that into a full-fledged cover, because I can just see them totally kicking the shit out of that song!
and just as a side-note: I can't believe how TAME the crowd was. I think the fanbase has shifted a bit, because the first two ev shows I saw were INTENSE! I got shoved all over the place and stepped on and the crowd was just pure energy and it was amazing. Last night everyone just stood there (one of the reasons I love being on the balcony is that you get to watch the floor crowd just go insane). There was absolutely no energy coming off the floor to feed from. Even with the lead singer of RT was screaming JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! the crowd gave him NOTHING and he looked completely befuddled by that, hell, I was completely befuddled by that. They might as well just switch to seated venues, since the people attending their shows don't want to move at all.
Ha, okay, i know this sounded completely negative, but I did enjoy the show a great deal. I don't think any of the guys have the stage presence of Ben, and I still miss him in a huge way, but I think Amy is growing as a vocalist and performer in a huge way (When she hit those high notes before the guitar solo in Whisper I nearly shat myself!), and that's inspiring to me. That makes me less eager to push the band away as I have been. I'm interested to see how she will continue to grow.
Of course, if they DO start playing seated venues, I'm tapping out. Word.

"The Beautiful People"? What's that song?
Katie, I noticed a change in the crowd, too. Boston and NYC crowds were awesome in that they cheered and screamed and DID jump a bit when Rich from RT asked, but there was no moshing. It got close and "intimate," as I like to call it, but I was honestly surprised at the lack of crazy moshing.
Haha remember Philly from last year, Katie? Where I like...didn't know you were right next to me the entire time? The crowd for THAT show was great lol.
But oh well. I didn't get crushed. So that made me happy.

Arrived to the venue around 2:30, which was later than expected, since my Navigator decided to not want to direct me to the actual location of the EF, so I had to rely on my senses. We had come from a different direction than I was use to but we FINALLY figured it all out. Surprisingly, there really wasn't too many people on the line yet.
We pretty much just hung out (I was exhausted from only having 2 hours of sleep the night before...). I got to meet a bunch of EvBoarders who were all very cool and got to see some people I haven't seen in over two years (Since the Penn's Landing show in 2004) but I was sorry that I couldn't have spent more time with them. (Shout out to Anis, EvilTemptressDQ, Psyche :P)
Around 7:00 (I think) they started letting people in. In true Electric Factory fashion, I totally got felt up by security..which I wasn't too fond of for the record. Maybe I just look suspicious. :P Once again the camera rules had changed and I was kicking myself for not bringing my digital in. During the show, people were taking pictures with flash and even recording videos. I was almost right against the barrier so I would have gotten great shots.
I love Revelation Theory. I have ever since I first saw them play with Faktion & Hinder back in Feb. (They totally show they show that night, btw) so when I heard they were opening for Ev..I was beyond excited. As cheesy as some of the stuff is that Rich (the lead singer) does, their show is so totally full of energy and pretty much every time I've seen them, Rich's vocal performance has been flawless. They played about 40 minutes and all three nights included a cover by Temple of the Dog "Hunger Stike". Their Bassist, Matt and Rich switched off on vocal parts during that song and wow, can Matt SING. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that they didn't do "Selfish & Cold". That's like my favorite song and it sounds amazing live.
So, two years has done a lot for Ev & Amy. I think her vocal performance and stage presence has improved immensly. The first night she hit a few sour notes, but the other two shows, she pretty much nailed most of the songs. Granted, there were still a *few* issues, but overall the performance was amazing. As a few people said, I was quite surprised by the lack of moshing at all three shows. I also have no idea why they cut out SWQ out of their set after the Boston Show...but it was probably one of my favorite songs live. Amy also announced that ToD was #1 on the Billboard Charts for the week :)
The one thing that truly annoyed me was the chanting "AMY, AMY, AMY", before they came back out to do the encore. Granted, I know that Evanescence "technically" is Amy..but to disrespect all the hard work that the guys have put in too by pretty much only shouting for her, made me sad. It's not really that hard to shout "Ev" or "Evanescence" now is it?
Set list was the same as the other nights, - SWQ and as Katie mentioned they did a little bit of "The Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson as an intro before CMWYS.
After the show, we went back so that some people could meet the band...and holy crap were there a lot of people. Our whole group pretty much hung out by the stairs back from the crowd. About an hour later (and the crowd dwindled down), pretty much everyone came out to sign stuff.
We wound up hanging around a while after that with a couple of the guys I know on the crew and wound up catching up with Rocky for a bit.
The funniest part of the evening was when this fangirl was asking one of the guys about Amy's stuff that she relased prior to Evanescence. He had no clue, so he called me over to verify and I was all "nope, only ev stuff and a few songs with David Hodges & Big Dismal" then she proceeded to tell me that I had no idea what I was talking about and that I wasn't a 'true fan' because apparently she was Ev's #1 Fan. That made me laugh.
*please excuse any typeh0s. I didn't spell check it. :P

When I was at the Toronto show with my friend she was like  Was that Amy or the background vocals!?!?! I was DUDE THAT WAS AMMYYYYY!!!! (it was my first Evanescence show so I was a bit hyper  ) It sounds like you guys had bunches-o-fun! Its too bad they dont play in Canada more often, then I would be able to do what Tracie did XD Go to 3 shows, that would be amazing!

Overall it was a great show except for the skank ho standing in front of me who insisted on rubbing her ass against me as she bent across the barricade trying to get a security guy to inseminate her through it.
But yeah, besides that, good times indeed.

The things people will do for a glass of water, eh? lol The group of scantly clad blonde girls confused the hell out of me...definitely never saw that before at an EV show.

Much more diplomatic way of describing them than I could manage. Good on you :)

How is it....that I was there....and I looked and couldn't find a damn one of you. At least I met the lead singer of RT after the show.
Couldn't get upstairs either. They'd glance at my ID and grab for a bracelet....then stare at my ID the 2nd time and see that I still have another 3 weeks to go and send me away.
Near the end of the show some guy screamed LONG LIVE EVBOARD. I wonder who put him up to that
Did anyone else go outside and try to go back in? All I wanted to do was pee but they blocked everybody from going back in for anything.

I'm so teleporting out for that one.. :P
Here's another random group shot of us from afterwards..
So Maria had to go fuck up the program and not wear a black shirt. WAY TO GO.

I had one on originally. But, being the coordinated person that I am, I got my shirt caught on a fence while we were waiting on line. Couldn't walk around with a hole in my shirt for the rest of the day, so a spare was dug up.
Hey, I didn't even want to be in the picture in the first place. :)

I was at the show, and it was my first concert. Despite that, I was shocked at the lack of crowd energy. I was about 3 heads back from the front barrier, and the guy next to me warned me that "It'll get pretty bad once Amy comes out, everyone's going to rush forward and there'll be all kinds of pushing and shoving once the music starts", but it never came. Everyone just stood there and looked up and sang along horribly, to the few songs they did know.
Amy is more beautiful in person than I could have ever imagined, and the guys rocked the shit out of every song. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one floored by Amy's high notes all night. *dies*
Great show I thought, and great first-concert experience for me. Can't wait to catch them again someday...

Hey, I was there, but unfortunately I forgot my nametag...
I guess I should have checked this thread out closer to the show. I can be quite a stupid person.
The show was great, but it seemed like I was one of the only ones who really got into it. I had my fist up in the air the whole time (with my hot pink armwarmers) and sang along with everything. Oh and during Whisper I was singing the background parts during the chorus at the top of my lungs and one of the choruses Amy basically sang to me (unless I was just being a dork and imagining it- but she came over to my side of the stage and looked right at me through the whole chorus!) So maybe I'll just let myself believe that was how it went down. :D
I too was in awe of her high notes- they were fantabulous! But I was sad that they didn't do Your Star. I love that song.
Funny thing- my cousin was complaining at one point that she was really thirsty so I told her to tell Amy to throw her the water bottle (because she happened to be drinking from it at the time) and right when I said it, Amy chucked the water bottle into the crowd. It was pretty funny.
Poor Terry looked so tired. I wanted to give him a hug.
Oh and then it took us almost 2 hours to get home even though we live 40 minutes away because my mom was driving and she got lost. We were in Camden at 11 and then on South Street closer to 12 and she thought we were going to get murdered.
Awesome show though, although I was surprised that the crowd wasn't at least a little more into it.

I heard Amy say that she thought the song was just dragging too much.

That and it must be awkward to have people singing the stalker lyrics back to her :p Hence why I stfu'd during that song lol.

That would have been my first guess as to the reason why it was dropped. Snow White Queen is wrong in so many ways.
Great vocals, way too creepy lyrically.

Arrive in Philly at 12:15. Use my memory of my Google Earth search to get to the venue.
Ask a nice man, “Where is the Electric Factory?”
“You’re here, hun.”
Look at the line of only twelve or so people ahead of me. So much black. It looks scarier when there are so many wearing black. I was prepared and wore gray and a smile.
People give me the look of the devil. I can see them think, “Who do you think you are? I am a bigger fan.”
I greet everybody behind me with a smile. It gets better after that.
Meet online people at about 2:00. They are warmer than I imagined. Tracie is personable. Ceez has a good soul.
Enjoy myself in line immensely. Good people, butterflies in my stomach, so much black. This alone was worth the trip.
In the Electric Factory at 7:00: front row, mid stage right. Turn back and smile at Ceez, “This is great!”
Revelation Theory on at 8:00. Guitar player’s sweat on my skin. Lead singer’s spit on my face. Yuck.
Evanescence on at 9:10. I’m smiling, smiling, and smiling. I know this is music that I listen to in times of distress; music I relate to when I am desperately breaking into a million tragic pieces and clinging for a reason to breathe. But somehow I can’t stop smiling. I am so happy. This isn’t me.
I sing every word with Amy, getting a master class, a vocal clinic. I never imagined that Amy could sing that well live. I am so grateful for the control freak that she is, trying with all her core to hit every note. Who knew a voice could fill a room like that. Speechless.
John’s eyes have me in a trance at times. I am still smiling when I see that demonic look on his face. He breaks his seriousness with a hidden grin. Sometimes smiles are contagious.
Rocky is such a tight drummer. I can feel that he loves to play with all of his heart. This man was made for music. I am so thankful for him onstage.
Tim fits in nicely, playing his role and his instrument well. He is like a wise new child, carefully observing the dynamic of the band and the crowd, patiently waiting to earn his place.
Terry makes me want to cry. I see a great man who loves his music, who is so generous with his love and his ideas. But he is in prison right now. I want him to have all the support in the world to get him through this time. You belong on that stage and I would never want to see you anywhere else.
Show is over. I’m very sweaty, but I don’t think the sweat is mine. Yuck.
Wait for the band. If there is one thing I have learned in my wise 24 years, it is that nothing is ever enough. All of these people want all of Amy. They will never get enough. They will have their memories of hugs and autographs, but they will soon cry over the fact that they were one of thousands and that their moment was theirs and theirs alone.
This depressing thought has already hit me. I go in for my memory, nearly numb in comparison to the breathless, speechless, and tactless girls surrounding me. I simply want to tell Amy that the album is great because I feel like that is the best compliment I can give right now to somebody who has just been flooded with compliments on beauty and divinity. So I tell her the album is great and mean every breath of it. She looks at me, thanks me, and that is it. That is my moment. Poof.
Three days later. I’m still smiling.

I agree completely.
Oh and we hung out by the stage after the show for awhile and tried to catch stuff (and failed :( ) But at one point we saw them wheel out the South Side trunk and we screamed "Hey! It's the trunk from the DVD!!" And I got a pretty good shot of it on my phone.
