I saw that they'll be in Mexico on 10/19, so they may not be able to make it up to Dallas in time for the 21st. There's still Houston.

It's a little weird that this date isn't on the official Ev website or the official McFarlin Auditorium site.

But I'm definitely going to be there!

Also, I checked the seating chart of the venue, because I've never been there before, but it looks like there's no pit. Anyone know if there will be one? Because there is nothing better than an Ev concert in the pit. Their last concert in Dallas at Smirnoff 2 years ago was amazing.

Im definately going, if they are in fact coming here. I still have my doubts about them coming here, especially to the SMU campus. But it would be cool to see some evboarders.

The Nintendo Fusion Tour is coming to Nokia that same night.. so I guess that's why they couldn't get that venue... sucks because I also wanted to go to that show.. but Ev totally wins. :p

I just realized that I've been to that actual auditorium a few times, for tiny little Iranian New Year celebrations (my dad's Iranian).

It is SUPER small. So I'm hoping that the tour date/venue is for real, because that would be one hell of a memorable, intimate show.

What site are you looking at? From what I can tell, it's still not on the official site nor is it on the McFarlin Upcoming Events site, nor on Ticketmaster...

But I really hope they are not $165...that's crazy! I could see why they might limit the number of tix available to buy, though, because it is such a small place.

They're not. A lot of random weird sites put up tickets that are that expensive before the actual tickets come on sale. I saw another site that had them for $180. I'm pretty sure it's a scam, or somebody trying to get you to pay a lot of money or something.

If you click on the More Info link above the pre-sale info on Ticketmaster, it shows that there are 3 pre-sales, the first is labeled the "Band" pre-sale, and that is the one that starts today at 5pm. There is also an "All-Access" pre-sale and a "Radio" pre-sale (starting Friday at 10am). Usually, anybody who subscribes to a radio station website or something can have access to a radio pre-sale, but I don't which radio station is sponsoring it. I emailed The Edge and I'm hoping that they are doing the pre-sale, but I haven't found out anything. I really don't think the general public would have access to the other two pre-sales, though...

My friend has been to a concert there before, and they've removed some of the seating for a pit during that concert, so they probably will with Ev too.

I was on exactly at 5, and the pit tickets weren't available. They won't be on sale until Saturday with the public tickets. (They might be for the radio presale, and I'm an Edgehead... but I don't know about that one)

Because they're not $36. I just bought one of the presales and they also add on a $4.55 order processing fee and $0.74 tax. The "convenience charge" is $8.85.

Total for one ticket: $41.64.

Im on ticketmaster right now trying to get pit tickets and my wait time was 15 minutes... its going down slowly, im at 9 minutes now. usually its just 1 minute or less. but i guess there are alot people buying tickets! :mrgreen:

Same here. They can't possibly be sold out already. I was there exactly at the time of both presales, and this morning, and there haven't been any pit. The only thing I can think of is that there's not a pit for this concert, because the site says "Note: Not all sections may be available" or something like that.

Which is a really stupid thing for them to do.. here I am waiting for pit, so I skipped out on main floor seats the first 2 presales...

Got mine a little while ago. I got section E row O. Couple of my friends are gonna be up in sec L (2nd balcony) row A....I've got a seat up there too just in case I can't see anything from row O, but I think by the time the show starts it'll be too late to change my mind :)

ya no offense, but im just a little poor white boy trying to jam out at smu...im not entirely sure 40 bucks to watch ev from 100ft away is a good use of my money.

Looks like the show is mostly sold out at this point. If you put that you want two tickets, it comes up as unable to find any seats together. If you just put that you want one ticket, some main floor random stuff comes up.

No, they weren't available in the presales, either one of them. I'm still really confused about it, I guess they just don't have a pit. (Which makes the fact that you can select pit really misleading.)

That's exactly what I did. I turned down center main floor seats... and ended up with far left side second balcony seats.

same thing happened to us...we found 3 seats together in section E during the presale, decided to wait to see if anything better came up in the main sale....and by the time we could get anything during the main sale, all that was left with 3 seats together was in the 2nd balcony. I consider myself lucky to have found ONE down on the floor by that time. "He who hesitates is lost", I guess.

And also, SMU isn't that exclusive... it's not even ivy league... it's nothing like Harvard. It's a private school, and an expensive one, but it's not that hard to get into.

The scalpers have all the tickets. I was online at 10am and all there was was side and balcony. I just can't handle that. It was 900 for both. My friends aren't even so into it. I am really the only one I know who is this much a fan.

I go to UTA so I just think SMU is really expensive and so is TCU.
The most important thing is that I have front row for my favorite band.

Front Row tickets has all the tickets for Dallas. That's where I got mine.

I've been to a concert there where there was a pit. It was a fairly small concert, Superchick before they were really that famous.

I talked to the DJ and he said he doesn't know which ones that he gives away. Golden Tickets has good seats. That's what I meant, not Front Row, sorry about that. Man I can't wait and it is 2 months from now!! :)

The official website for McFarlin says cameras and other recording devices are not allowed.

Would they really take your camera? I mean, if they catch you with it at the entrance, they can always just tell you to go put it back in your car and you wouldn't lose it. But if they catch you using it, then I guess they would take it.

It's just a little weird when you go to meet the band after the show, and you have their face plasterd on your boobs.

Don't get me wrong, I wear my band shirts all the time, but I make sure the shirt I wear isn't for one of the bands I'm going to see.

The only exception I would make is if I'm going to a HUGE festival with a ton of bands OR I'm going to support the opening band.

Haha everyone just blends together when they wear the same band's merch. It's not necessarily a bad thing. I think it's just personal preference, you know, just whatever you like.

Whats up with the scalping of tickets? :confused: I sooo want to see you in concert at McFarlin Dallas TX on the 21st of OCT but all the tickets sold out the first day. Actually i'm pretty sure every concert sold out first day. All these websites buy up all the tickets and charge outrageous ticket prices. I even wrote one guy and he cursed me out saying that it was supply and demand and yadda yadda yadda. :mad: Everyone understands price..supply and demand but whats up with them being able to scalp the tickets like that??? isn't that illegal?? I want to go so bad. Hey guys... whats up! I'm gonna try and make this as short as possible...

My name is Blake and I'm 18 years old and live in Missouri. I actually was just introuduced to "Fallen" this Summer. Ever since then it's the only CD that I listen too. This music is kick ass and the the lyrics are uplifting and there are many songs that I can relate too. After a week or so I bought "Anywhere but Home"... which made me love EV even MORE! One of my FAV songs is "CMWY Sober" ... So I can't wait until Oct 3 to hear their new material.

With school, work, and other obligations... I did not have an ounce of time to see that EV was going on tour! They are NO where close to where I live... but Dallas is by FAR the closest... being 6 1.2 hours away. And I really don't care to drive that!... My friend and I plan on going... We coming up the 21st real early and seeing Dallas and then we are staying overnight as well. The ONLY problem with the Dallas concert is... well there are two.. My mom doesn't want me to go that far... but I told her I have to see EV... I mean between work and school I get SICK... literally SICK.... I'm always run down and depressed and all and I NEED something like this to look forward too and enjoy. The only other problem is I CANT FIND "CHEAP" TICKETS....lol and I know it's my own fault for not buying them when they went on sale. But yeah... everything is at least $95 or more... but I honestly don't care to pay that... I just hope my friend doesn't care either. She used to love EV but has kind of grown old with them!!?!

But anyways... at the end of this post... (Sorry it's so long) I have 4 final questions for you guys about the concert...

1) Will there be any chance for a meet N greet afterwards... even if we DO have to wait 2 hours outside the busses?

2) Any there any place online that you all know of that the tickets are going for resonable prices? lol

3) Will there be Tour merchandise at the concert. I know you can pre-order stuff on the off. website.. but will there be stuff @ the venue... like a tour shirt maybe?

4) Just out of curiousity... I know they will be promoting "Open Door" but I hope they sing a lot of older stuff too... I hope their set is like 2 hours at least! ??!

O k... well thats it lol ... but get back to me ... PS... I will print out an EV tag as well... I know I'm a total newbie but I hope we all can become friends in the next month...lol... then when the concert rolls around I can meet up and talk and all... well gotta go... ttyl

you could head over to houston instead of dallas.. i dont think they are sold out yet. www.livenation.com and type in Evanescence. Tickets are $25 each plus all the charges... for me and my hubby to go it was $69.70 i think.

I'm really really hoping for a meet and greet. Last time I was in a meet and greet line, they had to close it early to make room for another band, so I didn't get to meet them.

Anyone been to a concert here and know where the tour buses will be parked? Because if waiting by the tour buses for 2 hours lets me meet them, I would so do it.

I'm hoping that since this is a really small venue that the busses won't be too hard to find. Or maybe they'll have something set up to meet them who knows. But they always know that they have a lot of people wanting to meet them at shows, so hopefully there will be an oppurtunity for that.
