Where is "In The Venue"? I got my tickets, their being mailed. Anyone have any information about this place? Its had some smaller concerts, but Ive never been there.

ive driving past it and it looks like a really good place. i hear that it is one of the best place to tour for rock concerts, and i hear that if you go in front u are about 3 feet away from the stage. it by 579 W 200 S, really close to downtown and the gateway.

please tell me that there is more than 5 evboarders in utah, i feel so lonely.

I work downtown, and drove past it today at lunch.
It looks... cozy...
(a dive)
and promises a personal experience
(small, cramped, hot).
It looks like a central location
(between the homeless shelter and greyhound station)
and parking can be had in the gateway (for 10-12 dollars)

Thanks for that pic!! I was wondering what the venue looked liked!! My friend and I will be there! We are coming from Las Vegas! Is there a meet planned yet or shall we see each other in line? Let me know! I am always interested in meeting other Evanescence fans! :D

Did anyone hear?! They aren't playing at In The Venue anymore!:eek: They're playing in the Saltair now! I got a call from SmithTix, and they said that it was still at the same time on the same day, but at a different venue. They are still honoring our tickets, though.

It sort of makes me sad. I was looking forword to seeing them in a small venue...:(

well, the concert has been changed to a different venue. it will be held at The Great Salt Air. its a bit bigger and that is why they changed the location, due to the overwhelming demand for tickets. its right by the great salt lake.Original tickets will be honored at the door.

My Gothmom said that they had been there a few times before, and the shows were just fine. I think it will be worth it!:D

i got an email today, and i won a meet and greet. im a little nervous cause i have to go by my self with five other people, but im still excited, i hope i dont lose my spot on line

yesterday was an amazing day. when I first got there around 4:30 there was about 15 to twenty people. I waited in line even though I won meet and greet because I wanted to hold a spot for my sis, but she came late. the meet and greet was awesome, but what sucked is that the radio station winners went in first, there were about 20 of them. then they let the ones who one it from evclub in, that’s where I was. when we got in we went upstairs and waited in a line for about 5 min, Richie was there, such a cool guy. then the band came out, first was Amy then john, Tim, terry and finally rocky. They signed my TOD cd then a poster that the tour manager gave us. since my hand’s were freezing because of the really cold weather, I smudged a little of Amys autograph, on both items. aaaahhhhh! so pissed about that, but I shouldn’t complain cause I was part of a few who actually got to meet the band. oh and Amy was wearing a long grey puffy coat with puffy shoes, like the Michelin man. she looked cozy and comfortable. then all of us had a chance to take pictures with the band, me and Amy were in the middle and the rest of the band was behind us. I put my arm behind amys shoulder and smiled for the camera. then we were told by the tour manager that we could hang out in the venue for the whole time until the show started. I was excited about that because it was freezing out side and it was raining and snowing. but 5 mins later the venue manager kicked us out, asshole. but we were put in front of the line so that kinda made me cheer up abit. cause the line was looonnng.
okay about the show, revolutionary was great but I really didn’t know any of the words but they still pumped me up. then evanescence took stage,

this was my first time ever going to a evanescence concert and meeting the band, I will never forget this and I hope they return to Utah, cause I’ll definitely go, even if it freezing cold.

We got there at like 6:30 because my friend who was driving couldn't get off work until 5:00, but that was okay. The line was SOOOO LONG, but at least we weren't at the back!:D It was SOOO COLD, too. My mom almost froze to death!;)
You weren't supposed to have cameras, but I brought mine anyway. My friend put it in her leather jacket, and when the security lady was patting her down to make sure she wasn't going to assasinate Amy or something, she felt it, but she thought it was just her wallet. It was quite funny, actrally.:) We didn't get to take any pictures though, because the camera wouldn't cooperate.:mad: Oh well, I still got some from the SLTrib slide show!
When we got in, we went and bought some stuff. I bought that thicker sweater with TOD symbol on the front and back, and the pendant necklace.
The opening band, Revalation Theory, IMO, wasn't very good. My whole group was SO sick of them.(It was also stupid how they blocked the exit at the end of the show.)
FINALLY, Evanescence came on. It was SO AWESOME! We all had so much fun! Two of my friends are younger than I am, so they had trouble seeing, but they really enjoyed it, too! As far as I can remember, this was the playlist:

I was so suprised with the sound system, because usually, it isn't that great, but I was really impressed.
