Sorry I haven't been around for a while guys. Like daniel_pendry15 already mentioned, discussion on here died down very quickly and I haven't really had the need to post any replies to anything. But hey, I'm here now so not to worry lol :D
As far as The Open Door goes, I have heard it too, all of it, and I kinda feel guilty but then again I kinda don't. Ev has kept us all waiting for three years and since we're all gonna go buy the CD either way, I say that it's not wrong for those of us who crack and decide to listen to it before its official release.
As for the concert, I'm going with two of my best friends: Adrey (whom you guys have already met) and Semmi (who's not on the board).

And yeah. I am your best friend kiddo. lol. jk. Kisses.

I'm actually going by myself. It's sad I know. I was gonna go with a friend, but nooooo. Edgefest tickets were more important. So, I will be by my lonesome, which is probably a good thing, cause no one will want to see my crazed reaction when the band comes on stage:mrgreen:

As I thought I will not be able to make it to the AZ concert...
So I have to sell my tickets :(
I have just put them up on ebay for the original amount that I paid and with Free First class Shipping.:D
I hope more than anything that a deserving EVBoarder wins them! Good luck. And I hope all of you that DO get to go to the concert have Fun!!!

Hey guys. Sorry I've been gone so long, but I just haven't gotten a lot of opportunities to be on the board lately. I have heard all of TOD from beginning to end and am now loving every minute of it, so I am now looking forward to the concert more than ever. I am going to get my mom to buy the album during the first opportunity that she gets on Tuesday because I want to get it right away before they are sold out, which I think is going to happen very quickly because I can just tell the sales of this album are going to soar in a hurry. I also got the exact Evanescence shirt that I wanted from Hot Topic for my birthday and I'm taking TOD with me to the concert so I can hopefully get it autographed by Amy, so I am all decked up and ready to go. I have never loved Ev any more than I have these last few days, so my prescence at the concert is just going to rock my socks off!!!!
BTW, I don't think I'll be much of a screamer while I'm at the concert. I want to be able to hear Amy sing, so all I'll probably do is wave my hands in the air or something.

Anyway, there are Ev shirts at Hot Topic now? Hmm, I'll have to go check..

Ohhhhh, that's too bad. I feel very sorry for you. I was hoping that everybody in this discussion would be able to go to the concert, and that included you, but you can't win in every opportunity you get in life, which is why it can really suck somtimes.:(
Anyway, since you're not able to go to the concert but I am, would you like me to get you an autogaph from Amy while I'm there? I'm not saying that the chances of having that happen are 100%, but I do think the chances are very good judging by how well the band treats other people. I just don't what you to feel left out of the party entirely and having an autograph from your favorite band is a lasting memory, so if you would like one, I would be very happy to get one for you.:) :D

So I'm super psyched about the concert, its less than a month away and I cannot wait. I had a dream the other night about it and it was awesome, I got to hang out with the band and yeah, I wish that would actually happen.
They also have some new shirts on ev's official website, they have the tour merch up. Not getting shipped til the 10th though.
I've listened to a few songs but I don't want to listen to it too much cause I want to still have it feel new and take it all in when i buy the cd. I'm so excited! (did I already mention that? lol)

Well, this is about to get real interesting. Since the board is limited to Paid Subscribers only, we are probably going to lose a lot of people out of this discussion, unless those who got on for free are willing to acquire a paid subscription to help the board. I know of a couple who paid when they originally got on here: c_isforcookie and Cavercheer03, and I just acquired a paid subscription myself earlier this evening, but that is about it for anyone who was in this discussion before and, unless you pay, you cannot post anything whatsoever. It is real unfortunate, but it had to happen and it is better than not having EvBoard at all. But, anyway, I am encouraging those of you who do not have paid subscriptions beforehand, preferably paperflowers15 and Adrey, to go out and acqire one because I enjoy talking to all of you guys so much and I want this comunication to continue up until it is time for the concert and, as I said, this is going to help the board continue running for a long period of time, which is the best thing that can happen.
P.S.: Sorry if I sounded bossy in this post. It's just, seeing as how I am now a PS, I would like to continue seeing you guys on this board on a consistent basis because you are all so friendly and we're not going to be able to meet at the concert, so we might as well limit our friendliness to talking back and forth in this thread because it is just such a pleasureable experience for me (I finally feel as if I am beginning to break out of that shell of shyness that has been covering me all of my life!!!).

At least I'm not alone, since Cavercheer03 isn't able to make it.
So, its only 24 days away, which isn't so bad anymore. We've planned all we could do, even the banner idea got shot down. But still, it was worth a try.
I still cannot wait for this concert.

Yes!!! There is only 3 weeks left to go until the concert!!! As each day passes by, my anticipation for it just gets bigger and bigger. I've got everything that I need for it ready to go. I bought The Open Door on Wednesday night from Wal-Mart and have listened to it every single day continously, I bought a new Ev shirt for my birthday from Hot Topic that I'm going to wear with pride to the theatre, even if it is a little small, I've already printed out my EvBoard nametag from my computer and I will be wearing it throughout the festivities, and I'm getting ready to print a picture of Amy off the Internet that I hope I get a chance to have signed for myself. Now, all I have to do is pick out something that I can get signed for Cavercheer03 since she won't be able to make it to the concert and I promised I would get her an autograph and to just sit at home twiddling my thumbs and continuing to count the days.

I know that you guys are anxious to know what songs Ev are going to perform at this concert, so I flipped through the threads of the concerts that have already taken place during the band's tour and I have found that each of them had the same setlist. I have posted that setlist below so that you can all see it:
Regular Performances:
Sweet Sacrifice
Weight of the World
Going Under
Snow White Queen
The Only One
Haunted
Whisper
Lithium
Good Enough
CMWYS
Imaginary
BMTL
Lacrymosa
Encore Performances:
My Immortal
All That I'm Living For
I'm not saying that this setlist will be in the same order for our concert, but it does give us a general idea of which songs the band are going to perform when they come to Phoenix.

When you mention that price, you mean that is the price they're selling a sweatshirt for at a concert, right? If it is that expensive for a clothing item at any concert, then I am very glad I bought my Ev shirt ahead of time from a department store.

Yeah thats how much it is at the concert. At least thats what I read from the other posts of the recent concerts. Thats still a lot of money, but I bet its worth it.
...and thinking about the setlist, it sucks that they're not playing Tourniquet, Breathe No More, Farther Away, and Thoughtless. I really liked those. Even though they're not playing any covers, it'd be really nice to see Thoughtless.

Yeah, $58 is a lot of money for any clothing item, no matter how you look at it. You're right, the article of clothing may be worth paying such the hefty price for, but I would still rather buy a shirt or a pair of pants if the price for them was under $10 or $20 because anything over $50 is just plain ridiculous.
As far as the setlist, I really don't care what the band plays at the concert, as long as I enjoy all of the songs. I was hoping that they would perform more of the new stuff, however, because I have such an obsession for it right now that I'm starting to develop a little bit of a dislike for the old stuff, but that may be because I'm no longer used to hearing any of it.

Yeah its a lot of money for the sweatshirt.
I have a question, what time will you be waiting in line at the theatre? Because I read posts from the other threads and what I got was that they're waiting outside at 10 am (I think). And I might not get there until 2pm. :(

For the time being, I'm not entirely sure, but I would say somewhere around 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. My school releases at 1:00 every Friday, but I live 3 hours away from Phoenix and I would want to go home first and get ready before I head up to the concert. I'm also going with my mom, so she would have to make the 15 or 20 minute trek out to my house since I live with my dad, and I would want her out there by probably 2:30 or 2:45. Then, there is the whole matter of getting out on the highway, getting gas and a bite to eat, and then making the long journey.

Wow, 6-8 hours. You guys are going to have a very long day on the road. I'm guessing that since the trek is that long, you will be forced to miss a whole day of school because you will have to leave fairly early in the morning if you want to get to the theatre at a reasonable time.

Its only a half-day of school that day so I won't be missing that much.

Finally! I have been waiting to talk to her ever since the new board rules came into affect that I think I might die if I am forced to wait any longer. There was absolutely no way I could contact her since I don't have a MySpace account and my attempted sign-up on AOL Instant messager did not work out. I have so many questions to ask her, including whether or not she is ever going to get a subscription on here and what she has been up to lately. I was also a little worried that she might have forgotten about me, but I guess I can put that little fear to rest now that I'll be able to contact her again.
Thank you very much for this news! It just made my entire week! I wonder what made her think of sending her e-mail address to you since you don't live in the same state as both of us, but that is no matter. Being able to communicate to each other again over the computer is the only thing that matters right now.
P.S.: Since I don't have a MySpace account, you can just give me her e-mail address in a PM whenever you're on here again. You will probably figure out that is going to be the case when you try finding me on MySpace, but I just thought I would give you a heads-up.

My mother came back from a vacation to Ireland a week-and-a-half ago, but she was forced to bring my grandmother back with her because she is unhappy back home and is having those typical problems that a senior citizen in their 80s usually has. Her visit means that we have to take her everywhere because she needs to be cared for all the time, and my mom dreads the thought of leaving her at home by herself in a big house overnight for that reason, so she will join us on the trip up to Phoenix. She will not be attending the actual concert, however, because she is not very mobile and a lot of rest is required for her at her age.

Wow, your grandmother is extremely young compared to mine and you are lucky of that because, I tell you, taking care of an 80-year-old really gets tedious very quickly.
I'm also starting to think that, since you are leaving from New Mexico on Thursday night and more than likely getting to Phoenix early on Friday, that I will be one of the last people to arrive at the concert from where I'm coming from in Arizona. That is really starting to annoy me, too, because I feel like I'm starting to blow my shot at meeting the band by arriving late.

One more night to go!!! I am so ecstatic that I don't think I will be able to concentrate on my two tests in school tomorrow. I will also be missing the last football game of the season at my school, as well, but that is not a big deal if the show turns out to be what I amexpecting, which I know it is. This will be the last time I post in her tonight and then I will head up to Phoenix directly after I am released from school at 1:00, so I hope to meet some of you guys at the festivities and maybe make a few new friends. Please be careful when you go on your trips tomorrow and be sure to be all dolled up in Ev stuff so that you can show how much you care about the band!!

What a night I had at the concert! Not only did I get to see an incredible performance by the whole band, but I met Amy after the show and got three autographs and two hugs from her!!! I went in expecting to get only one autograph and one hug, especially when I considered how late it was (about 11:00 or so) and how tired Amy was feeling, but instead I got three and two and that is absolutely priceless. Definitely the best night of my life and one that I hopefully will never forget for as long as I live!

OMG that was such a fun night. I only got 1 hug from Amy, but it was worth it. I also got an autograph from Amy and Terry, I could've got one from John but my dad wanted to leave. yeah my dad came instead of my mom, that was the reason I didn't want him to come because he would want to leave early...and he did. damn him.
It was also the best night of my life too.
Have you guys seen these two very different reviews of the concert on EvThreads? The information in the first one is so far off that it appears as if the reviewer did not even attend the concert in the first place and was just stating what he thought of the band, while the second is showing alot of professionalism by backing up the positives we had about the concert with factual information.
