To summarize the chat:
Some of us will be getting there early, others not until after 5pm
After the show, we're going to meet up out front of the venue, then all head back to where we *think* the buses might be (Katya is going to scope out the area before hand, so I'll have her call me to update you all - since I'll be at work)
Depending on the time, and who has to be where, we'll head out for some time of food. Penn Station is only a block away, so we can get some food from there...or if people want to walk, there's some fast food places a few blocks away (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=fast+food+near+311+West+34th+Street,+NY&ie=UTF8&z=16&ll=40.750524,-73.988349&spn=0.006437,0.014634&om=1).
If you have an issue with any of the above information, don't fret. I'm sure you'll come in contact with EvBoard'ers once you get online. Just keep a look out for EvBoard name tags :)
I have 1" EvBoard Buttons to hand out. If you would like one, you should hunt me down. Only one button per EvBoard'er though, please.

I'll more than likely have to go to this concert solo. Anyone want to meet up before the show? It's no fun having no one to talk to while waiting in line.

How much are ticket prices, exactly?
I am thinking of asking my aunt Tylene to take to this show. Sure, I live in Ohio and she lives in North Carolina and it will take some time to plan, but if I am counting on going to this at all, Tylene is my only hope as everyone else in my family is lazy and does not like to travel. Also, Tylene knows how much I adore this band, and she loves them as well. So, it's pretty much win-win. We shall see. :D

No idea yet, but I would estimate around $30-$40 based on the venues. I could be waaayy off though.

That is not too terrible, I suppose. They could be going for $70.00.- $100.00. I just thought that because the band wanted us to have an ''intimate'' feeling this time around, that we'd also have smaller ticket prices due to the smaller venues. But, whatever. I'm still going, gosh darn it! :p

Awww I could give my Torey a hug at the show! :) I really hope they aren't more then 40 dollars. I don't have 70 bucks to go to a show.

well hammerstein is standing/general admission, right?
so all the tickets are gonna be the same price and they should be too bad. that last 2 ev concerts i went to my tickets were around 41 bucks (from ticketmaster)
im so excited! even though it's on a monday, i will be attending. so glad ill be living in the city. id so be up for doing something before but my last class ends at like 445 so i gotta book it back to the dorm, change, get my stuff and go. im gonna get on the line as early as possible to be as fricken close to the stage as possible :) but if yall want to join me and chill on the line - im all for it!
also, i want to try and go to the boston show because it's on a saturday and i dont have classes fridays. so depending on my work load and money situation i definately want to try and go to that show :)
anyone else from ny planning on going to the boston show as well?

Yup, that we will.
The East Coasters who usually go to shows in the NY/PA/MA area usually post in the "East Coast Road Trippers Thread (http://www.evboard.com/showthread.php?p=914582#post914582)". I know that's where I'll be posting most of my plans about the tour.

Cool. I check that thread every once in a while. We need someone who will stand first in line hold our places.
Anybody hear anything about special EvBoard admittance to shows? it would be awesome if we had some sort of priveldges.

i have no rpoblem being that person the only thing is my last class ends at 445 on mondays. so assuming i wear what im wearing to the concert there and drop all my crap off and race over blah blah blah. i could probably be there no later than 530.
however, if i find out within the first month of classes i can get away with missing a recitation class (which is my 330 to 445 class) then ill skip it that one day and then my last class is at 1045 am and i could be online any time after that haha

ticketmaster hasnt put up the prices yet for the new york show, but it has for detriot and san fran. detroit is 25 and san fran is 27 to 35.
so i guess new york could be anywhere from 25 to 40.
it would be sweet if it were only 25 but it is nyc so who knows. the last time i went to an ev concert in nyc it was roseland ballroom and it was about 41 per ticket after surcharges on ticketmaster. not bad at all.

I would like to go, but I highly doubt I would be able to go for a few reasons:
1) My parents hate going to the city, and they being my only form of transportation, I wouldn't be able to get there.
2) I don't think my parents like Ev, so that's another reason they wouldn't want to take me.
3) The next day is school, I go to bed late enough as it is...
So, does anyone think they will make a second round to North America, particularly in the city?
Or...maybe I'll just wait until I'm older and find my own way to get around :( *crosses fingers that Ev will still be together by that time*

according to a thread ghetto fab posted, they will be back in 2007 to tour in larger venues in the states so dont worry.
there is no way ev would only tour in new york once for this new album.
new york is so huge and the center or so much and a fairly easy place to get to if you live within the tristate area.
im sure something will work it's way out and hopefully youll be able to come :)
it sucks that it's a monday night, i know. i wish it were a thursday, friday, or saturday night instead.
maybe if you do really well in school and dont miss any days, you could miss school tuesday if youre too tired if you go on monday night?
worth a shot.

My only issue is trying to get back the next day in time for at least three of the four classes I have that day. I hate skipping class, and I don't want to do it two days in a row. Amtrak is going to be my best friend, I think. ;)
Boston's a definite, but I'm going to try to make NYC a definite, too :) I can't wait to go concert-whoring again! :D
I was planning on skipping classes that day (or go since its in the city) but I just looked at the calendar and it's freakin' Columbus day, which means no class for me. I have no classes on Tuesdays either.
So far I have 4 people going with me and they put me in charge of the tickets. I just hope they pay me back. grrrr. Hey maybe they'll play madison square garden sometime next year. :D

ooo then i probably wont have classes! awesome!
and as great as it would be for them to play in a place like msg - it would be better if they didnt. freakin seats. i swear to god, they make concerts so less enjoyable. they just get in the way.
it would only be good if you got seats in the pit area and there are only so many of those :(
i dont care where they play as long as it's in or near nyc and it's standing/general admission.
if it fit's that criteria - im estatic.
if it's only in or near new york and seated - im still really happy because it's ev performing, but eh... the seats ... damn those seats.

Well, If you search up Hammerstein Ballroom on google, you can find sites that sell tickets for the show, unfourtunatly it costs over 100$ each ticket. :/
Katya
08-12-2006, 10:13 PM
Well, ticket prices usually depend on who's performing, not the venue itself. For example, tickets for the SnoCore tour, which played venues very similar to the Hammerstein Ballroom, were a mere $25 ($35 with the added stuff). But Evanescence's tickets in early 2004 were definitely more around $40 or $50 when THEY played venues similar to the Hammerstein.
So, I wouldn't get scared yet ;) We haven't seen what the prices will be.
Well I just looked at the posted dates on ticketmaster and so far it's between $25-$35. So I'm guessing around that area.
Tracie
08-14-2006, 04:58 PM
Most tickets for shows are sold through the venues themselves, on Ticketmaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com/), Tickets.com (http://tickets.com/) or LiveNation (http://www.livenation.com/) (formerly cc.com).
If you do a search and go through a ticket broker, you're going to pay an arm and a leg. If the tickets do sell out before you get them, I would advise checking on StubHub (http://www.stubhub.com/). They're a little more than tickets would be if you bought them when they initially went on sale, but A LOT cheaper than those on ebay or a broker.
And while it does depend on the artist that's going to be there, it also does depend on the venue they're playing at. For example, if an artist plays Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ and that same artist plays The Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ the ones in AC are sometimes double those of the ones at Starland for the same exact show.
UPDATE:
Tickets are $30 and go on sale on Friday morning at 11am on Ticketmaster (http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/00003D0EA3028F7F?artistid=857529&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=60).

I got floor tickets. So I can get close to the stage. I've been there before to see New Order.
For those not familiar with Hammerstein, the floor is GA, standing room, and the mezzanines are unassigned seating. You'll see it when you go to get the tickets.
Don't want to be up in the Mezzanine, they are far back. I'm surprised they have enough faith in Ev to think they will fill up Hammerstein. They couldn't fill Jones Beach a few years ago.
Anyway, with all the surcharges, 2 tickets came out to $82. Now i just need to figure out who is willing to go with me.

W00T for GA tickets! :D And Willows, I'll actually meet you, remember you, and be able to hang out this time! Haha I still can't remember if we actually were introduced at Roseland...I got there so late, I barely got to meet anybody (and was way at the back :p).
Jones Beach is a LOT bigger than Hammerstein...Ev sold out Roseland in a matter of minutes, though that was back when everyone was like OMGZ THAT BAND WITH THOSE TWO SONGS lol. And Roseland isn't too much smaller than Hammerstein, is it?
For those of you wondering about getting there, I looked it up online. It's on 34th street, between 8th and 9th Ave. The 1 2 3 line comes into 34th on 7th Ave. so it's only a couple of blocks to walk. The A C E also comes in, but I think it's on the other side of 9th Ave....I don't know the A C E well at all, so someone who does will have to clarify.
On that note, I am going to ask this now so I don't worry myself...will anyone be taking the 1 2 3 subway besides me? While I am completely comfortable with traveling and changing trains (hey, I've commuted to and from NYC for the past four summers for work lol), I'm a little wary of doing it by myself really late at night. If anyone could even just walk with me back to the subway and wait until a train comes, that would be wonderful. Once I'm on the Subway and heading towards Grand Central, I'll be fine, but it's the idea of walking back in the dark alone that's making me a bit worried. :X

i would but im in the same lil predicament. i need someone who would be taking the A C E subway downtown to go with me. i have no problem traveling by myself, but that late at night it would be nice to have someone go with . i gotta get down to 4th .
maybe i can find someone who will be going to school with me who is also into ev and going to the concert but what are the odds, honestly?

I'm going to wait and see how crazy the Canada and Boston concerts are before I decide on what time to come to NYC. But assuming the train schedule won't be different than a normal Monday (the 9th is Columbus Day), if I grab a 7:20 train in, I can probably get to the venue at around 8:45. I really don't want to have to get up earlier (a 7:20 train means that I'm up at 6...it's the train I take every morning to work right now lol), but if the lines are crazy with people before 9, I'll get an earlier train.
The short answer is, most likely. ;) Haha. We'll have our tags to ID us, too, so we won't have to wander.
Out of curiosity...I've never been the first to arrive at a venue. Is there any indication as to where the line is supposed to start? There weren't any barriers for Philly but there were for Roseland...would they be out that early?
fearlesst15
08-16-2006, 09:12 PM
oo yaya youll be there early. good i can go early too then.
as for barriers - no clue. roseland was my first concert and my parents insisted that in order for me to go they had to drive me and my friends there. so we could leave until like 4. we didnt get there till 6 haha the line was around like two corners by then. we walked around and realized it would have been quicker to walk in the opposite direction but i ended up being farely close to the stage. i wasnt right next to it but i could see fine.
this time, however, i will be right up against that barrier if i have anything to do with it :)
i would guess it would start by the door but who knows. if either one of us is the first person there, we'll just have to ask someone who works there. if not- we'll just get behind whoever is there already :)

When i saw New Order there, I didn't see any barriers. They just let the line form around the block from the door on 34th Street.
Also, I'll be taking the LIRR back home from Penn Station, so I can walk with you. No doubt, when the concert lets out, there will be a lot of people headed in that same direction. And in that neighborhood you really don't have to worry about walking by yourself. There are always so many people around. And it's not dark. Manhattan is as bright during the night as it is during the day.
So, will there be chaos if some people get there first, and then others try to cut in line?

If you read back a page or two, you'll see that some of us are planning on getting there very early in the morning. It depends on your schedule. I advise against getting there after 3 or 4 or so, though, if you want a decent spot.
After checking out the people going to this show, I figured it needed SOME cool people so I've decided to volunteer my coolness. So I am officially rsvp'ing for ce show. Rejoice!

Also, I'll be taking the LIRR back home from Penn Station, so I can walk with you.
My friend and I will also be taking the LIRR from Penn Station, so we can all walk together, if you'd like :) I would love to meet you all. I'll be getting there as early as possible (hopefully before 10am), and I'll be wearing my evboard nametag ;), so I should be hard to miss

I can't in good conscience take the day off work to stand in line. I could leave early, get there around 4 or so. But I can promise to bring food to those who hold a place for me.

I wouldn't count on it. I'm sure we EvBoarders wouldn't mind, but bear in mind that other people who got there early and waited all that time will not appreciate someone jumping the line that late in the day. I got to the Roseland concert at 5, and though I met up with Tracie & co. there for a few minutes, I went back to the end of the line. It's just concert etiquette. I suggest that once you're let in, make a dash for the floor right away. You might be able to move your way forward during the openers, too.
fearlesst15, holding a spot is nice of you, but for the reason above, I'd modify that to within a couple of hours after you get there. I wouldn't mind holding a spot either, but people can get bitchy about it.
It all really depends on the length of the line. The longer the line/waiting time the more anal people get about holding spots/cutting.
So yeah. I had no idea there was a presale cause I fail like that. So now...the tix are all sold out. :(

I found out about the concert the day before tickets when on sale. Yesterday morning I woke up at 10, and I got to work at 5 min before 11, hopped on the computer, remembered my ticketmaster account password....and got tickets!!!!!!!!
This is going to be crazy awesome, and for me, its three years in the making because right when I first heard about Ev, and seriouslylike a week befor they totally blew the roof off the country, they were finishing out there small club dates for the Fallen tour and they played The Loft in Poughkeepsie NY. I was on crutches at the time and couldnt make it up the stairs. It would have been KILLER to see them at the Loft.
but now, i cant even wait man i keep looking at my calender like "is it october yet" I know, I'm such a little kid.

I might have an extra ticket........ my parents made me get an extra one so one of them would come (b/c they dont trust me alone) but now neither of them wants to be the one to go so it might just be me and my friends w/ an extra ticket............... but then again my parents and i got in a fight today and my dad kicked me out of the house and since i acctually left (which i kind of had to) my mom claims she ripped up all my tickets. (my family has problems) so Im not sure If I should be crying right now or pretending I dont care (so mabey shell just give them back, that is if she really didnt rip them up) I dont know If any of that just made sense so sorry If it didnt

for those of you who were unable to purchase tickets - go sign up at z100 to become a zvip. it's free .
then go to their contest section under the zvip tab.
there you can enter for a chance to win tickets to the ny show. theyll probably give you two tickets - probably ga tickets. theyre usually pretty good about the tickets they give away :)
I've been a ZVIP since forever and I've never won anything. And it kinda sucks cause the lines are ALWAYS busy. I doubt I'd ever win anything. :(

while ive never won anything from online - it is possible to win stuff from z100. you just gotta keep trying and not give up
first time i won was back in october of 05. i won two tickets and meet and greet passes for kelly clarkson haha
then i won two tickets to see her at pnc again in may (the concert was in july though)
and just recently my friend won tickets to see the pcd and bep at pnc.
so it is possible. you just gotta keep trying.
and as for multiple people winning - im sure they have a fair amount of tickets to give away. theyll give some away online and then probably have an ev weekend or something closer to the date of the concert. this way they make you listen all day to try and win. what they did with kelly was every hour they gave away another two tickets. and they did that for two days. so hopefully theyll do the same for ev.

that sucks that you missed out but keep an eye out for contests to win tickets. if youre a zvip you can enter to win two tickets to their nyc show online. and if youre not a zvip it takes like 2 minutes to sign up and it's free. it is possible to win stuff from z100. ive won twice and my friend just recently won tickets (although our wins were through the phone lines.)
give it a shot.
hopefully youll be able to go. if not - there is the next round of touring so it's not so bad.

The free tickets are still available?! Ohhh-lala! *signs up* How good usually are the seats? I guess it wouldn't matter at that point because at least I'd get to go!
But is this show really sold out? I found another site (http://www.tickco.com/xml/Tickets.asp?pid=407919) that's still selling tix...but they're like a lot more money...so I'm not gonna even try to get those tickets.

it depends on the show and how many tickets they get i guess. when i got the kelly tickets the first time for her show at msg they were general admission/pit tickets so that was awesome. the second time was for pnc and they were orchestra level but the second level of orchestra. but pnc is kinda small so no matter where you sat in the seats you had a good view.
im sure if you do win the tickets will be good :) z100 is usually good with that stuff.

I'm so excited to see Ev. I'm going with my much older brother we need to do some sibling bonding and this is one of the few musical groups that we both like.
Has anyone ever been to Hammerstein before? My brother goes there quite a bit he says general admission tickets are the way to go and he says you can usually push your way up to the stage to get a better view.
I'm just so excited I've never seen them before and this is my first concert that I got decently priced tickets. I paid about $30 per ticket and I had 5,000 American Express Rewards points on my credit card so basically the whole thing only cost me the price of one ticket.

So I was in the same predicament as everyone else The ticket sales changed at the last minute because i specifically remember them being on sale the 19th and I get to the website and its listed as the 18th. I was mega bummed about it and I tryed ticket master a day after and there was nothing at all. So i remembered ebay, and so far ive scored like 4 tickets off of there for me and my friends. I got 2 by fed x and 1 by priority mail already. Thankfully I have a job now so The lowest i was able to get for the atleast a couple of the tickets was 65.00$ The highest was 102.00$ because the first ticket i bought i went through a broker on another site.
So I have 2 questions....
Im going to nyc for the show and i was wondering when everyone was going to start arriving at the hammerstein?, Im taking the earliest train out there (5 Am) So around (7 am) ill be at the doors first. I live about 2 hrs away from ny. Im going to spend all day waiting, and the next day exploring the city.
And After the show I would like to get an autograph and possibly a photo with the band, Evanescence has been my inspiration since i first heard fallen and i regret and kick myself for missing their first tour. My friend who used to work security for concerts told me you could wait by the stage exits outside of the venue, I wonder if there was anyone out there on evboard that could give me some pointers? That could help me, maybe if a group of us got together we could figure something out. Or maybe someone out there has been to the hammerstein before could help. Anyway Thanks for everything.
See you all in nyc!

I was gonna ask this question in another thread in 'Talk to the Band', but I was told to take it over here...I got a lot of different choices of where to hide a camera, but I was wondering if it was best to shut the flash off during the concert just so you don't get it taken away? I hope they don't care at that point because my camera has image stabilization on it and it only seems to work when the flash is on :(
Katya
08-28-2006, 08:23 PM
I wouldn't take your camera then, Aerdna. It's easier to sneak pictures if you can turn the flash off. Unless you don't mind being further back...the bouncers can't get to you if you're farther back from the barrier.
If yours is small enough, you can hide it in something, and then hide that in a small pocket in your bag. I actually used a pad wrapper a couple of times, and that did work :D Haha. But yeah...get creative. ;) I advise against hiding it in your clothing unless it's in your b00bs (if your cleavage is big enough to hide something like that; mine certainly isn't lol), because you do get patted down by women.

HappyHardcore20, do not triple post. That is against the rules (see the FAQ).
DeepSleepDream3, that's good news :) Maybe, just to be safe, you can call the venue itself and ask that question, just to get a sense of their policy. Security guards can be lenient or stick to the rules; like you said, one might be different than another.
However, that's a good sign. Maybe I won't have to hide it within the deepest recesses of my bag ;)

I was just searching around the forum, and something caught my eye about leaving after the last song and waiting back out the back tour busses. Apparently alot of fans have gotten the bands autograph by doing doing so. It scares me to my core , to actually meet a band who ive only seen through my tv and heard through my stereo, but i want to try anyway.

Haha. It's not that scary, HappyHardcore, I promise ;) I met John, Terry and Amy (in that order), and they're all quite nice to talk to. Don't freak out...it's much more fun if you just keep it cool. :)
As for getting there, I'll have to see. I'm estimating that it will take roughly an hour an 15 minutes for me to get there, if I get an express train in. I do NOT want to be on any train before 7 (and I think you are insane for taking a train at 5 lol). I'll have to check the Metro-North schedule, but I'll try for a 7-ish train, which will get me in at 8, so I could possibly get there at 8:15. If I take a 7:20 express train, I'll get in at 8:25 and probably make it over by 8:40. What I want to do is see how crazily early people line up for the other shows. I'll be at the Boston show, and I'll just have to walk 15 minutes or so to get there...so if I get there at 7:30 and there are already people there, I'll get the early train. :)

Are you going to both shows, nyc and boston? Or just the boston show. I just read your message so you can ignore that private one i sent. Yeah Maybe i am a bit insane for taking a train out that early. I just have to get lots of sleep the night before though. Im standing in line all day, going to the show, then slumming it around manhatten for a while and exploring the city the next day. Ive stayed over and basically slept on the street when eisley was in town (small , discovered band) Because by the end of the show the last train had already left so me and my friend had to wait from like 12 to 5 am for a train. It got COLD. Im doing this all alone this time though, because last time the friend i took with me had a horrible time. Since the ball room does allow backpacks im bringing my industrial strength lap top bag and im gonna load up with snacks , music, and books. plus a few prepared disposable cameras, the last time my digital camera totally didnt do the job, no image stabilization, so i got crappy video from it and blurry pictures.

And damn you're crazy. The next day, I'll be hopping on Amtrak and taking a 3-hour ride back to school in time for class :p If I don't make the train home, though, my aunt lives on the upper west side and told me I could come crash anytime. :D So that rules.

I wish i could catch both shows, I definatley have the money to get another ticket for boston but i dunno. That requires alot more planning than i was anticipating. I wish i had the money to be like a groupie and follow them around the country, like a dead fan. If i had a car i would totally be able too. Its good music and you get to see the country while your at it.

When does the show start anyway? You guys are talking about how early you'd get there, and I'm not even completely sure myself when the show itself actually starts :p I saw somewhere (I think it was Ticketmaster) it said 6:30 at night. Correct?

I just looked at my ticket for the show, (if i could find my digital camera, id upload a picture of it.) And the DRS open at 6:30, I had to take a second look at it though, I wondered why the doctors would be opening at 6:30.
Weird.

I am eliminating that factor as i have said by staying out all night. If anyone wants to invite me to their hotel for an after party (hint hint) I wont say no, but just think of cold lonley matthew (my real name) in nyc all night long without a soul to be with .(cue cheesy violins)

im crying still because i just bought them off ebay for about twice the amount. my friend told me she really wants to go but shes not gonna pay more than what ticket master is selling them for.
I loves Evanescence and even though it broke my acount(im not working anymore..going to school*woot*) i couldn't miss them.
However i need some people to chill with*cheeses*
I haves class that day and the last one ends at 2. i wondering if i should blow them off...

Im heading into new york early like 7 am I want to get the hammerstein mega early or I might just go to central park for a while, the last time i went it was so beautfial. I know what you mean about ebay, I bought 4 tickets and the whole thing cost me about 200 bucks. If i were you I WOULD NOT let my friend go to that concert. When i bought ev tickets for my friend christine and her stupid boyfriend, she payed me what i payed for the tickets, which was about 170.00. Thats just bullshit you know? After all you didnt buy them from ticket master, and theres no reason she should get a discount, its not fair. Thats just my opinion though. If nothing else see you at the show!

Since it's about a month to the show, send me a pm with what shows you're going to be at (MA, NY or PA Only)
From there, I will compile a list of all the people attending each show and add it to the first post in the threads. After that, I'll set up a chat (one for each show) where we can discuss what is going to be going on and where we're meeting and what not. I will pm all of you the link to the chat room where the discussion is going to be held the night before the chat.

Haha. I have my outfit all planned out.
I'm wearing jeans and my high boots from Hot Topic (still deciding on whether to wear them out or under my jeans). Over that, I am wearing a skirt that is essentially three big "ruffles" I suppose you could call them...but it's short in front and long in the back. I will have a black corset on with a black shirt underneath it for some warmth (the black corset is debatable because so much of my outfit will be black :X I might wear an ivory or gray one instead).
Oh yeah, and for those of you who haven't seen the Boston thread, we are going to have one hell of a party. We've got music (someone's bringing a speaker that can plug into pretty much any mp3 player), gimp (YES, GIMP), and someone's making buttercream cupcakes. SO. What are WE going to do for fun? I can bring a deck of cards and my Zen Micro (like a mini iPod but better) but I don't have a speaker thing.
Any other ideas? :D For those of you who know, what's the food situation like around the Hammerstein?

I'm going to try to pm people about this too, but in case I get tied up this weekend, here's the info on the chat.
Since there are quite a few of us that are going to all three shows, I figured it would just be easier if everyone from all three days were in the chat at the same time, and we'll figure out /finalize stuff that way.
Monday, October 2nd @ 8pm.
Link to chat (http://chat.parachat.com/chat/login.html?room=EvBoard&width=600&height=400&bg=7F7F7F&fg=BFBFBF&lang=en)
If you can't make it exactly at 8, no problem, I'm sure we'll all be in there for a while. If you can't make it at all, we'll be posting the final plans here.
To make it easier, when you log in use your user name from here and the abbreviation for the state of the shows you're going to.
For example, my name would be Tracie_MANYPA.
That way, we'll know who you are on the board and what shows you'll be going to, without having to ask.
Be sure to spread the word.

Food around Hammerstein: there is plenty to eat in Penn Station. Most people get pizza or sandwiches.
Wow, people plan out their outfits??? I think I will wear whatever is clean. Probably jeans and a tank top (since it gets hot inside), and I'll wrap my denim jacket around my waist inside. I haven't even decided on shoes. Probably sneakers since I'll be walking from my office, which is about a mile away.

To summarize last nights chat:
Only one button per EvBoard'er though, please.

that's awesome.
oh and about going after the show to wait by the tour buses, we'll have to wait for a little while longer than what you may usually have waited because z100 was giving out meet and greets last week alongwith tickets and a chance to introduce the band on stage.
so they gave out enough meet and greet passes for like at least 30 people. each winner got 2 passes. so i doubt the individual meet and greets will be long but it will take some time. im willing to wait with everyone though.
i tried to win the passes but no luck :( the closest i got was caller number 96.
*sigh*
and i am a zvip too so i would have been entered for a chance to introduce the band on stage ... i wonder who won... guess we'll see the day of.

Last night, it started at 7 and ended at 9:30.
Revelation Theory's set is 40 minutes and Ev's is an hour (+ time between stage set changes)
So since the show is starting at 7:30 in NY, the show will probably go until 10.

^ 730? wow. I wish I could go there early but my friend has to hand in a paper or something so I gotta wait for her...which friggin sucks and I don't wanna wait on line alone. The weather is suppose to be good tomorrow too. I told my dad and he said I was crazy going through all this just to see a show. :D I hope next time they play, it'll be on radio city or something so we don't have to torture ourselves.

My parents think I'm nuts because I'm getting there around 7:30 too and that means that I'm up by 5 and on a train by 6. Haha. The things I do for a front spot *sigh*
So look for me...I'll have a black BU sport-y-ish jacket on with my nametag, a black tanktop that says "Super Wench" on it, a ruffled skirt with jeans underneath, and black sneaker-shoes. And I have long blonde hair and glasses. :)
I will have playing cards with me so we can have some fun :) And Hoopyfrood's leftover buttercream cupcakes but we have to save a few for Amy by order of sir Hoopyfrood himself lol (and the guys but Amy's the one who was like YAY HAPPY BUTTERCREAM CUPCAKES on here lol).
See you all tomorrow! :D

Then I get to head over to NY for the show. I'm really hoping that it's EXTREMELY slow here today and they let us out early. That would be quite nice.

I'll probably be getting there around 3:30. I am going to try to sneek in a disposable camera. If they take it away I'll be sad, but I wouldn't risk having my very nice digicam confiscated.
I'll be wearing jeans, a black tank top, and a demin jacket. I'll also be wearing my EvBoard patch.
I am trying not to drink anything today. I don't want to have to leave the line, and MORE important, go during the show and lose my place up front.

You also don't want to pass out from dehydration in the middle of the show. Better drink a little something!

Are you not allowed cameras at any show?

Depends on a lot of things, actually. Just because a venue says camera aren't allowed, doesn't really mean that they aren't. So there's not real definite answer. Pretty much if you want to try sneaking one it, you can try. Sometimes if you can get it past security outside, they don't care about taking pictures inside..where as other times they will tell you NOT to take pictures if they see you doing so.

New York, be afraid. There are EvBoard'ers roaming your streets... Muar!

you could ask people in line if they could hold the spot for you while u use the bathroom. Trust me, last time it was torture trying to hold it in for 5-7 hrs.
I'm so excited right now. I'm on the computer at my dad's store just a few blocks behind the theatre. I'm waiting for my friends to come and then we're gonna head out there. Haven't checked to see how much people are lined up yet. I brung my digital anyway. If they said it's not allowed then I'll hide it somewhere.
have a great time everyone!

nah, I wouldn't have to worry about that. It's not link I'm not drinking anything. Just a lot less than usual :D
I'm leaving my office at 3-ish. Maybe someone could hold my place in line right before the doors open. I'll see if I make any friends along the way.

tara[fearlesst15] just called me from the show. i heard my immortal and ALILF.
thank you, baby!<3
Just got back. Had one of the best nights of my life and got to be in the front row too (Got there around 1:30). All the waiting and standing was definetly worth it. The band kicked ass and Amy sounded and looked great. She wore this black tank and a pink feathery dress. The people were pretty strict with the cameras, you couldn't bring a digital in or something and the guy at the front were taking it from people (I think).
Here's the setlist, not sure if it's in the right order:
Sweet Sacrifice
Weight of the World
Going Under
The Only One
Haunted
Whisper
Lithium
Good Enough
...Sober
Imaginary
Bring Me To Life
Lacrymosa <- so fuckin awesome!
Encore:
My Immortal
All That I'm Living For
They didn't do SNOW WHITE QUEEN. :( My friends were looking foward to that song all night lol. Revelation Theory was Ok but the music was too loud and I couldn't really hear his voice. I couldn't tell any of the songs apart.
Anyway, did any of you guys got a chance to meet Amy? What time did she come out? I saw Rocky after the show but have to leave after that since it was getting so crowded.
After tonight, I just love this band more and more and I really hope they come back here asap. :)

no problem.
any time. i wished i had thought to call you during lithium though. so good.
maybe you can return the favor at the san fransisco show ;)
ok im going to try and recap my day:
so get up at 6 leave by 630, got to the venue by 7 after some random guy said to me " you over 18?"
Me: what?
guy: you over 18?"
me : *knows where this is going so i lie* no
guy : dang. *turns away*
so i get there. im the first there. get joined a short while later by katya and a few others. got a few free cds from the other katie because she is awesome.
around 3 the band was supposed to be getting the venue so a few of us went round back. we saw the bus pull in but no one got out of it besides beth, and other people i dont know.
so we stayed for like half an hour and no one came out so we're like eh let's go back to our spots but alice ( the girl who made the painting of my last breath in anywhere but home) stayed and she said shed call if anyone came out
tim came so we went back. i got a pick of tim and he signed my copy of TOD.
then katie number 2 offered to trade her fully signed copy of TOD for mine with just Tim's because she had so many autographed things. it had everyone but rocky so i got him after the show.
went back out front. later terry came out but we didnt want to lose our spots and amy came out for a bit but we didnt wanna risk it. we'd been there so longand we found out she would def come out afterwards.
music choice was there and they were going to do an interview so i said i had been there since 7 and was the first in line so they interviewed me. dont remember what i said exactly. but ill check it out when they post it online hopefully. i did a shout out to evboard. he asked some stupid question about how i felt about the line up and i asked him what do you mean? the
