Okay, im a massive fan of video games and an even bigger fan of the old school late 80's/early 90's consoles. Anybody else a fan? If so, what were your favourite consoles and games?

I wish I still had all of them. I think I may have my purple N64 somewhere, and I have a Sega but there's a cord missing.

actually, i'm looking on ebay for super ninendo controlers so i can plug my brothers machind in and star playing super mario world.....mostly super mario brothers. i still own and play a ps1 platform, both with the original sytem and using a ps1 adapter to play ps1 rips on my computer.


i wish i still had my commodore 64... i had a couple of VERY good games on that one.......namely kid grid, archon, mario brothers, and radar rat race as a hard cassette you plugged into the back expansion port. my brothers were just mentioning it this morning!!!


also, ive done some google searchng and found several sites that offer original retro games for downlad. i quite original pac man.

Just get Super Mario All Stars, it contains the original 3 games I believe

i downloaded a few emulators to play the old games on pc, the framerate is a little twitchy lol I had a Commodore 16 plus. I used to love this weird French "card" game, I don't remember the name, it was about driving. i used to play it for hours!

I'm pretty sure I still own the old school GameBoy I got in '93. Pity that thing doesn't still work :(

The card game you're thinking of is Miles Bourne. That game kicked ass.

I used to have an Atari 2600, Commodore64/128, NES and then I went straight to PC and didn't own another console until we bought my son an N64 and then the dreaded Wii.

I have emulators on my PC for the 2600, C64 and NES so I can play the old games and feel young again. There is a company you guys might want to check out...

They refit old controllers with USB interfaces so you can use them with your PC and an emulator. Playing NES games on a PC with an NES controller kicks ass.
