Saw these guys last night at Starland Ballroom in NJ with Hinder & Faktion. I really liked their album, but have never seen them live before, and to be honest, when they first came out on stage, I wasn't expecting much. But, wow. Did they surprise me.

All of the guys had so much energy and I would say that they sounded better live than they did on their album . Check them out if you get a chance. They still have a bunch of shows on their tour lined up.

I got some pretty kick ass pictures from the show too, that I'll try to post soon.

I'd first heard about them early last year and back then they had a demo version of World to Burn and they had been recording their album. However, I didn't really take notice of them until around when their album was released. They grew on me enough to when the time came for them to have a show in December in NYC, I went. Tracie, I was expecting the exact same thing, but they actually got the crowd in attendance in a frenzy by the time the end of their set happened. Bought the album and that was that for me.

Last night's show was truly the first time I've been to a concert where the headliner (Hinder in this case) was completely upstaged by one of the underliners. Aside from that, there were more fans representing because they come from NYC...although I was surprised because the first show that I went to, they didn't even fill the room.

No offense to any Hinder fans that may be on this board, but Revelation Theory, in theory, should have headlined last night.

yea you got that one right, Hinder is overrated, RT and faktion are better. They aren't Mick jagger/Scott Weiland ripoffs, at least the singer is.

They're pretty good. I'd get their album if it came out here

So when I was at Edgefest in TX, I got to talk to Rich a bit and found out that he grew up a few towns over from me in NJ. Small world, huh?

Ooh, I was on their Campus Rep program. I suppose people must have liked them, they kept stealing the posters XD.

Great band. Had to miss them when they came through my area, though =/.

I just heard their music on myspace and they are good, they will be touring with evanescence on the north America tour. I have seen some concert footage and I think they will pump up the crowd.

Yeah, I posted about them being on the tour with Ev in a few of the concert threads, but forgot to post it here.

Anywho, yes. They will rock your socks off. I've seen them a bunch more times live since my initial post in this thread and they continue to put on an amazing show! And their music style totally fits with Ev's, which is always a plus!

I'm so happy that I don't have to sit through a craptastic opening band :)

If you asked me about a year ago whether Revelation Theory would tour with a band like Evanescence, as good as I thought they were then, I'd have thought you were crazy.

Now with Staind, Audioslave, Hinder, Flyleaf, and Seether under their belts, the sky is the limit.

ooOoo I like what I hear on their myspace :)
looks like I'll be buying their cd before the shows.
Think that they'll be the only one opening for ev?

There should be at least one more direct support. Otherwise there's going to be at least one local act that kicks things off.

Revelation Theory had a killer deal on their site for their CD with a t-shirt ($19.99),
so I decided to order it. This was around 2pm on the 30th.
I received the package this morning...FASTEST shipping I've ever seen!

I love the vocal abilities these guys have, they sound great!

I've them already a while in my myspace list. When I read the bulletin of them with "Evanescence", I looked again on their myspace profile and thought "They're great!".

Yeah so I had never heard of Revolation Theory before in my life...and wouldn't have if they weren't touring with Evanescence.

But when I found that out, of course I had to listen to them, so I checked out their myspace, and their songs on there are acually really good....=]

No sleep for the Theory.

Before their tour with Ev, they toured with Crossfade and after their tour with Ev, they'll have a small tour towards the end of the year with Sevendust.

I saw them yesterday and I thought they were ok, not my cup of tea though. The lead singer sounds good but I dunno, I just didn't get into it :| They sounded good though.

These guys were pretty good last night. And I got to meet Rich, the lead singer. When I was in line to meet Ev, he was selling Cds, so I got a picture with him and his autograph. He's a really nice guy.
Tracie, I wonder if you can answer this for me, because it's bugging me, lol. Rich said that he went by another name, and he signed it with that other name, but I can't tell what it is.

Hmm, that's odd. I've only known him as Rich and the thing he signed for me once said "Rich - Rev Theory" So I have no clue.

i didn't like them. i'm not a fan of the word FUCK in my music unless its hiphop and i didn't like when he spat water at us. it just sounded like every other rock band to me. nothing special.

I think maybe it was his last name? Because my mom said it had a "zzi" somewhere in it, and his last name is Luzzi. Here's a scan of his autograph.

I was able to meet and talk to Revelation Theory for a while when they came to El Paso for the KLAQ BBQ. I loved their performance although they had a lot of technical problems. I got a picture with the band too! They are great and really awesome with fans!:p I look so awesome and cool with my hair being soaked from the rain and water bottles being thrown around and that nifty "X", which I dont understand. They carded us and got to me they gave me a "X" which means no alcohol for me, but I'm 21! WTF!! Oh well I got in faster and was able to be in the front thanks to the power of the "X" w00t!

Ohh!!!! I LOVE Sevendust!!! That is an awesome band right there buddy! But damn, i Really hope i get to see these Rev Theory guys when i get home. I don't think they will be touring w/ EV that long though, so it looks like i might have to hit up another Sevendust concert to see 'em. Aw, Poor me. Having to go to another Awesome concert to see a few kick ass bands. :p I love life! I told my brother about these guys, and he was like "Where have you been?!" He's really into the underground scene, so he's apparently known of them for a while. It doesn't suprise me, i mean, he DID introduce me to the best band EVER! :D Go Schon!

They're playing here in VA again with Sevendust and He Is Legend. I'd like to go, but I've never heard the other bands and since it's in December, I don't know what the weather will be like. (Snowy, probably..and I don't wanna go that far in bad weather.)

i didn't like when he spat water at us.
I wonder if he does that at every concert, he did at Denver last night. I thought they were pretty good but not incredibally unique. I met Rich and he seemed sort of cool, when somebody touched his mohawk he looked stiff though, haha. They get the crowd going real well though :)

He spat water at the show here too, but I wasn't in the pit.
And yeah, I agree. They don't stand out a lot but they're pretty good.

I met him. He seemed cool. Their portion of the concert was awesome. Yeah, he spat water all over the pit. well We didn't get wet, but it was cool. The pit was fairly calm. And when Rich took off his shirt, ooh boy.

These guys were the opening band for the Evanescence concert I went to.
IMO, they weren't very good. And at the end of the show, they blocked the exit, so it took forever to get out.:P
