The books are awesome. Ring, Spiral, and Loop make up the trilogy of books by Koji Suzuki.
Many of you probably saw the movie The Ring years ago when it came out (October 18th 2002) and it was based on a Japanese horror movie called "Ringu" which was based on a book called Ring.
Let me tell you, Ring has to be my favorite book. It really draws you in, I've read it about four different times and each time it gets better. It's different from the movies because the main character, Asakawa is a man.
The book is quite different from the movies, although the movies were very good and very creepy. They are the only movies to this day to give me nightmares. The book goes deeper into what happened and why the main character, Sakado is the way she is. The books are translated very well into English and I was relatively impressed with the writing.
Anyone who is a fan of the supernatural or even murder mysteries should pick up this book for a read, and their sequels, Spiral and Loop. I recommend this book to everyone.
