Holy friggin nuts man.

This is just my opinion, some people like the numbers, it makes em feel speshul.

I personally, hate the member list showing members with 0 posts, and purge my member db of members who are over 3 months registered with 0 posts.

Especially on a fan forum, where people use nicks band related, then never post. Should free that stuff up for someone who wants it that WILL post.

Just my 2 cents. You can keep your penny.

agree, though I think there are more important things to fix first

I agree - I was looking for someone through the member list and I was shocked by the amount of members registered here with zero posts. Seriously, what is the point? It's a waste of space IMO, if they're not here to socialize with other Ev fans, what point is there of them even being a member of this board?

sometimes people might come here for information. other times they just forget they have account and don't post. don't make a huge deal about it.

I've felt for a long time that the member list should be sorted through. However, there are members that tend to be absent months at a time, as well as old members who don't know about the change in ownership yet and evboard getting back on its feet.

At the very least, anybody who's been a member for over a year and has posted nothing should go. Simple as that.

Honestly, I don't know which way we'll swing on this gang. I've had good and bad experiences on both sides of the fence with this issue. I'll more than likely leave this up to the higher ups at forumfactory. I will pass along the message that you all would like to clean up some of the memberships that have sat inactive for along time but I can't promise anything will come about.

Some people register and lurk, but never post. It'd be a better idea to prune the members who have a 0 post count AND who have been inactive for a year [as in they haven't logged in]. It seems to be the winning combo.

I was just about to say that. People can become members of message boards just to lurk. But, if people haven't even visited in a year, then it would be wise to wipe them from the list.

Its looking like a no gang. Generally ForumFactory does not delete any memberships. If that decision changes then I'll let you know but for now the owner would like for membership to remain as is.
