This group is about as new as Evanescence. . . their album came out in July I think.

Anyway, it's not really a rock band or really a band at all. It's two guys and a girl that have created a really innovative group with a multitude of sounds and techno sounds in their songs along with cool harmonies and incredible lyrics. If anything it's probably a mix of any techno band and maybe Ben Folds Five.

They aren't too bad. The way I describe their music is pretty mellow - I've only heard a few of their songs, and they aren't really my type of music, but my friend was listening to them in the car lastnight and their lyrics sounded pretty good.

I absolutely adore the postal service! Their song 'this place is a prison' is wonderful.. and so is 'we will become silhouettes'. They're so awesome. The singer's voice is so mellow and calming and soothing.. Wow. :)

You forgot to mention: one of the members is Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie. I prefer TPS myself, but I've been getting more and more interested in Death Cab lately too, probably due to my love for TPS.

TPS isn't doing anything new at all, infact they sound like a complete rip off of bands like Last Days Of April & Mae. the female vocals are about the only thing worth listening to them for. (& they seem to only be on 2 songs) but if you want a good emo female band check out one true thing instead.

If you guys like TPS, you guys should totally check out Death Cab for Cutie (http://www.deathcabforcutie.com). It will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. (It sure changed mine!) BTW: Ben Gibbard is the singer/songwriter for TPS, and is also the singer/songwriter for Death Cab. I think he is the one of the best writer of our generation. His voice is smooth and mell, no Chris Martins falsetto shit.
