Since their first live performance in the Toledo music scene in January 2003, Tranquil have found themselves quickly accepted by many types of music fans, and are excited to see their audience continually growing. They've played with bands spanning many genres of music throughout the region, as well as nationals such as: Sloan, Koufax, 12 Stones, and Cold.

Tranquil is a five-piece rock band whose songs are written in expression for their love of music, as they attempt to create as much melody, emotion and range as the bands that influence them. With an emphasize on creating music both catchy and rhythmic, while being moody and flowing; Tranquil's sound consists of vibrant guitar crunches, swirling melodic leads, and a throbbing rhythm section...all which meld with singer Laci Bloomfield's strong, impassioned vocals. Bassist Kerry Krow's artwork provides the additional atmosphere and dimension the band wants for their music.

While currently recording another demo at 40 oz Sound in Ann Arbor, MI, Tranquil's first demo continues to win new fans and keep them ready for another release. With the devotion and support from music fans both in and outside of their hometown, Tranquil will continue playing live for many different crowds and writing songs that offer them a creative release and a chance to connect to others through music. We would like to thank everyone for their energy at shows and strong support for our music.

Hello i am also in Tranquil, i was able to give Ben our demo a few months back when they played at Harpos in detroit, i wonder if many bands do that? Anyways i just wanted to say thanks for all the feed back and we hope to get more and better songs up as soon as we can, and yes some day we will play L.a and S.T.louis, i hope that after we do our E.P that touring will be our next priority.

may i post some criticism? maybe it helps.
mantisse is quite nice, but the lyric is too monotonous for that really good voice. euphoria and my eyes are a little too alike.
the live songs though sound pretty much like studio versions (besides smaller things ^^), which is in fact very good, cause many, even established bands with nice studio records are quite horrible on stage.

so, keep on rocking ;)

Thanks, yeah we know those songs sound similar but i think we whent with those becasue they would be the most time effecient to do, and cheapest. Also keep in mind that when these songs were recorded we had only been a solid band for about 2 months. In dec we go back to record better songs and we will be taking more time and spending more $$$$ and we expect those to be finished and mastered by summer so hopefully you will enjoy those just as much if not more. I also appreciate your comment about sounding good live, thats one thing we take very seriously and we want to be a band that can pull off live whatever we do on record. Any time i hear a band that has an over produced cd i usually end up dissapointed when i hear them in person.

Haha, actually I'm a moderator at another band's forum that is a relatively unknown band (Unfinished Thought). And I know of a few people who have given the band's CDs to Evanescence. And a few months later when someone went to the EV concert, they heard some of Unfinished Thought's songs playing during set changes (right before EV played).

So there's to some hope that they will listen to it! :D

And I think it really helps alot for the relatively unknown bands. Tranquil recently played at the Cleveland Music Fest. I have to say this was the best I have seen the band play. The Cleveland Music Festival was a blast, and even though our set got shortened, it was the most intense show we've ever played. We're very excited about this coming summer, playing more festivals, some more regional shows, and just doing all the promotion we can. I love having wonderfully nice people like ImaginaryDemise to see at shows as well!

Whoo! My CDs came today! Ashes amd My Eyes are my faves! Keep it up!

Our guitarist Jon is leaving the band soon. He has chosen not to pursue music as a career like the rest of the band. You can read his announcement on the Forum in the general Tranquil section. Jon will continue to play shows with us until a new guitar player is ready to go. We are still great friends with him, and wish him the best.
