Last night I went to Brisbane Riverfire and during the fireworks Triple M (who are the station who host the Riverfestival) were playing 'Going Under'.
I thought it was cool because of the thousands of people who tuned in to listen to the live similcast on the radio and tv would have heard the song.

Just some promotion for the band (not that they really need it though :D )

Yeah I was in the line for Subway and when I came back my mates said that they played GU.They also played EF a little bit later on too. TripleM have always promoted Ev. Haven't you ever listened to the ads they run? It wasn't televised though, but it did suck getting rained on.

Wow, I didn't realise a radio station playing a song meant they were promoting a band!!!!! I thought they played songs to get listeners, and more listeners means more advertising, which equals more $$$.

What's with some people being so rude? I thought people on this board were nice??

For a start - I didn't go to the tour in January, so I had no idea Triple M sponsered it. Secondly, I didn't say that playing a song on the radio was purely for promoting a band - I said that it was some good promotion for them. That's quite a different thing! :mad:

I think next year at Riverfire we should (all the Brizvegas and GC people) have a huge gathering and play Ev music loudly, drink, steal random stuff etc.etc. Naw we couldn't have been standing next to each other, unless you were in the Subway line, cause most of the night I was sitting on the grass. The Jet's were awesome!
