Used to be a paid subscriber on the old boards but my subscription ran out in Nov 07 and now I can't get back into the "paid subscriber oasis". I understood that we'd still have access to that even if our subscription ran out. Please help :)

This happened to me too, when the board switched management. I had another account/username and once the board changed hands, I couldn't get back into it. The account was still there, though, so KCMO (Chris) combined my current account with my old one. He could probably do the same for you.

I didn't know we could still get into the PS forum? I can't get into it so whatever Chris did with you to get you to see it I would like that also. :)

Sorry, I thought you were saying that you had another account which was a paid subscriber account, and you couldn't log in to that account anymore. Durh. Sorry for the misunderstanding :)

Where I see this is a problem, there are only about 3 posts a month in that forum. It's not like you are missing all that much, I promise. :p

I have tried to get into those sections, and I never understood, why
I couldn't.
It just always said, I don't have permision, and contact the admin.
I never bothered, and like Mel had said, We're not missing much,
so maybe I'll take her word for it!! :smile:

They could just get rid of the PS and increase our ava allowed size.
At least then we would all see ads, and would all be contributing in some way.

IAW Jane. This PS thing makes no sense anymore for the board is free for anyone. Its only advantage is the abscence of ads, but I think it's not that important. And I don't think that it's necessary to change the avatar limits. Besides, we still have the points system. There can be introduced [if it's possible] options to get rid of ads or to change your current avatar on a bigger one for some amount of points. If such options don't already exist. Otherwise what is the good of this system except giftwhoring?
Moreover, it's unfair that paid subscribers decide who "deserve" to join the club or who doesn't. There shouldn't be privileges and the like.

It's already been explained in this thread (it's only four pages long, really). There's a Paid Subscriber forum, you don't see ads, and you get a bigger avatar. Now that we don't have to pay, you need to be nominated by a current PS and get voted in to become a PS.
