Can I get everyones attention...you should all now be able to see the plaza and feel free to look around in there but we seem to still have some glitches. We've had 3 users buy a feature and it not show up so please hold off on buying for alittle while. I'll get back to you guys on this soon.

Not to sound like a n00b, but what exactly does the VBplaza do?

If you use Firefox and buy effects on your username, like bold and stuff, it won't show up.

But I bought a bold, switched to IE, and it it isn't working.

KCMO: Make sure you have a bold version of the font installed. Check the username options and usergroup options. Sometimes things like bold get disabled for the sake of reserving them for forum leaders. It's probably something ridiculously simple.

I use IE but i cant see the glowing usernames in the threads. i can see it just when i go on a users pofile. :confused::confused:

achhh. This is stupid. I've never done this vbplaza thing and decided to try it. But when I purchased glow username nothing changed. So I came here and Altara explains. I use Firefox. Begrudgingly I fired up IE for the first time in a year, which was the last time I reformated. So, apparently it works. My name glows. In IE. This is soooo stupid. I quickly closed IE. I refuse to use it. Is there no way to fix this? IE FTL.

the glowing is made with an IE-only feature, shame on the coder but maybe he will make this work for standard conform browsers too ;)

Or maybe Firefox 3 will be able to handle it. It should be out somewhere around October :)

I'm guessing those of us who are still in the Moderation Queue are not allowed the VBplaza privelege until we're let out of it? Tried just a few minutes ago and it said "Your usergroup does not have vBplaza priveleges." Or something like that.

once you are an unmoderated user you can access the plaza.

Is there any way for the overall vbPlaza menu to be edited? Some of the things on there aren't necessary anymore (like being able to play the arcade and being able to play for free).

the plaza is an unsupported very buggy add on to be honest. Its only still up because our tech team were able to patch the bugs in it so it wouldn't be a security risk. Unfortunately though there isn't much we can do with it and as we continue upgrading the site features on the vb plaza may stop working. We hope that a new stable version of it will release, then we can overwrite this one with a new one but till then everyone will have to live with the plaza as it is.
