I love this board. Period.

I love meeting people and making friends (as corny as that sounds). I've met some fantastic people on here and I met up with them at the Roseland concert :).

I love how the band members and their respective families come on and chill with us. They're so cool, and even though we can be stupid sometimes, they still come on and chat.

I love the organization. I'm not kissing ass here, but our mods/admin r0x0rs. Sarcastic, funny, kind (when necessary ;)), etc...they put up with alot of crap but are still cool. Refer to Teh Jasmine if doubtful ;)

I love being able to talk about my favorite band nonstop and not having people say 'stop talking about ev already!' lol.

I love how people (for the most part) are so open and easy to talk to and supportive. Look at the serious topics in teh Whine and Cheese/Off-Topic forums and you'll see how supportive people are. It's fantastic.

I love how there will be contests and interesting stuff about the band (aka past photos, etc.). It makes it seem even more like a community when everyone participates in something.


I hate people who insist that their opinions are the only right ones. They're usually hurtful and cruel, and cause many a hurt feeling.

I hate it when people post without thinking. This includes not searching, not reading the FAQ, or not reading through an entire thread. A 50+ page thread, okay maybe that's asking a bit much to read the whole thing in one sitting. But 10, even 20 pages is not that much. All the rest of us do it...

I hate it when people use AIMspeak and refuse to stop. I consider myself very internet-savvy, and even I have problems understanding them.

I hate it when people yell at the mods. For heaven's sake, they're the authority, therefore you RESPECT the authority. You won't have bosses that you love all the time and you just have to deal. Fighting will get you nowhere. Not to mention that most of the problems are really stupid...

I like the fact that its always here, except for when it's down because ToB is improving it. (On second thought, perhaps that is a bad thing, because I spend way too much time here.)

As with other forums I've become a serious member of, there's the good and the bad. I can discuss a few personal things here that I would feel uncomfortable doing on other ones, and there's many friendly helpful people here.

If Daniel ever comes to Sydney, I'll be more thna happy to buy him a few drinks and shoot the breeze, to use an old boring cliche. Anyway, I'm noty forgetting Marc or Daniel (not Daniel formerly known as Lirael), or Daniel (too many Daniels!) and the other Evboard people I met at the Gaelic Club a while back: I hopefully will get more money and time to hang with you in the future.

Yay, I'm resurrecting an old thread :p Anyway this is the best forum I've ever been to. I've been to others, but I literally visited those maybe five times. This board rocks because:

1.) People on here are nice and supportive of each other.
2.) I was educated on Evanescence.
3.) The band posts here. :cool:
4.) I don't know how many times I laughed at others' posts. We have some comedians in here :D
5.) The admins/mods who get rid of stupid people. (see what I dislike)
6.) Have I said this board absolutely rocks ;)

What I dislike:
1.) Obsessive people who say they will kill themselves if they miss a band member online. Seriously, you're going to scare them away.
2.) People who pursue a topic that shouldn't be pursued and create another thread because their first one was locked :rolleyes:
3.) People who think their opinion is fact and therefore attack other members who think otherwise.
4.) People who say the admins/mods are mean. They are simply trying to keep the board running smoothly so we don't read the same post a million times. So don't take it personally.

- band posts/replies.
- witty/intelligent/hilarious/sarcastic posts.
- those great threads that have between 100 and 1000 replies (some even beyond) *cough* caption thread *cough*.
- all the friends i've made here (and even an [e] boo :D XD).

i hate:

- people giving neg reps without a reason and without signing (immaturity, anyone)?
- wen ppl typ lyk dis, use all caps, or use l337 talk (but only if they're being serious).
- stupid/meaningless threads/posts/questions (although i admit to committing all three crimes in my more n00bish times, and even when i was not so n00bish).
- assfaced, snobby replies towards n00bs who make mistakes (i mean, come on, they're much less likely to do it again if you warn them politely).
- immaturity (again, only when it's serious).

all in all, the board itself is flawless. i just think it's a few of it's users who need a little work ;).

I love most of the people, the mods, and the band members.

I dislike AIM speak and people who think their lives are going to end because "the guy I like won't date me" or "OMG I missed Amy she's my everything and I want to die now." You get the point.

But I'm sure glad we have mods, because other boards without them annoy me. :D

The things i love about this board are:

- I have met lots of really nice and cool people on this board and some of them i have become very close to.
- The mods because they keep this board under control and without them this board would be a shambles :p
- Its nice to come here when your having a bad day and read funny threads which cheer you up especially me i laugh at anything seriously!

Evboarders: I initially came here just looking for more info about this band that I was intrigued with. But what I found was very different. What I found was a fun bunch of people who seemed to come together for more than just a common interest in the music.

Rep points - Makes me feel special.

What I hate:

Rep points - I'm addicted to the rush. If I haven't had my fix for awhile I start to wonder why I'm so boring. That's not neurotic is it?
The Addiction - I get distracted from work because I just HAVE to check in and my wife thinks I'm neglecting her. I'm pathetic.

What I hate about the board is when it goes dooown. Yesterday it was down all day ( at least for me), i got so pissed, i kept trying to come on here every 5 minutes. nothin' to do, it was down...I know, I'm addicted ;)

things i love about evboard:

(1) the different areas in evboard ie: off-topic/ other bands/ whine and cheese.
(2) most of the ppl are really nice, and have good opinions/comments, and people can be really supportive on here.
(3) people talk about other things that i am really interested in such as Buffy/ movies/ videogames.

i hate:

- people in the W&C forum bitching relentlessly about something that's not that big of a deal
- negative generalization of n00bs
- immature and unnecessary name-calling (only if it's serious, but jokes are fine)
- when the server's too busy and/or down

i love how everyone (well, everyone i have encountered so far) is so polite and helpful. the mods are great too :p

I love:
-How everyone is usually nice here
-The sarcastic comments people make
-The way you feel cool knowing that you are a member of Evboard :cool:
-The way some other board's are jealous of this one(that also makes my day)

Things I don't like:
-Chat speak
-People who don't search
-People posting pointless topics

I love this board because the people I've met are amazing. There are other boards that don't pertain to Evanescence like the Off Topic board and etc. The band posts once in a while, which is really cool. Plus, I learned a lot about the band, other people, and myself as well. That is always a plus.

The only thing I don't like is when the server goes down. That makes me angry.
