Here is where I may piss off the republicans on this board, but I feel that this could work for a better world.

President Clinton has put the word out that he may be interested in being the Secretary General of the UN when Anan's term is over in 2006. Brilliant. To my knowledge, there has never been an American UN Secretary General.

This would be a great move for the world. As much as he is disliked by many in America he is very well liked by others in the world. And it isn't really that Americans dislike him, Hell, he was Gov. or Arkansas for what, 4 terms, and President for two. You can't get anyone to say that they voted for him but he has been elected many times over. Anyway, he has that charisma that would bring great change to the worlds stage. He is certain to be more efficient than Anan.

If the sanctions would have been enforced and the oil for food was handeled correctly, then we would have never had to invade Iraq. We would have achieved our objective without bloodshed. So do we blame the war on the UN because they were corupt and didn't do their job? One might say that.

Clinton as head of the UN would be a welcomed change and a step in the right direction for global peace. Now maybe the UN can do what they were formed to do.

Say it loud and say it proud.

Bill Clinton for Secretary General of the UN.

Even has a ring to it.

To bad we can't vote on this one.

Bill Clinton would benefit the UN greatly. He is a very, very intelligent individual, and it would bring fairness to the Security Council as the previous two Security Generals have been heavily biased against the United States. It's time for a change, I agree and Yes. A nice ring to it.

I vote for us to get rid of the UN and let America do whats best for itself without feeling the need to appease a corrupt, unelected bunch of diplomats. But that's just me.

Would Clinto be better than any of the other candidates, probably. Will it change anything? Not as long as there are members with permanent veto status.

Prepares to sound like the dems and libs: *ahem* Anybody but Anan!! lol

Its true, as of right now , anyone would be better than Anan, even *cringes* Clinton.

But I would be very much for ToB's idea above all.

I agree. I live in the United States of America, not the United Nations. If we need to conference between nations, we'll send diplomats.

Just when you think he is gone he comes back........every @#$% time......the heart attack was a sign from god, divine intervention! I think we all need to chip in and buy him one more super value meal. I have a feeling that this one is going to put him over the top. Well.....I guess with Clinton as the front man at least the other countries wont expect much from us going in.

I like that idea but then again I don't think Clinton would hurt anybody/anything being Secretary General.
