cool, yeah you thats how a lot of people start out-on acoustic then builld up. i Love guitar, donno wtf i would do without it. you should all stick in as its an immense thing to be able to do! and if your writin songs and playin them infront of formiddable audiences the feelin is amazing! i dont have as many guitars as i used to-i think i only have 3 electrics( Jackson, Les paul and a strat copy which i learned on) 3 Acoustics(Tanglewood, a Hohner nylon string and a cheap pne which i restored) i have a MArshalll amp. hopefully- if i get in a new band soon i will buy more gear in the fall(diffeerent meaning in america?) im lookin at an ESP EC1000 deluxe which is £1099 and $1149 in america how shit is that? a stach either a marshal or a line six. and maybe some more pedals! i want a KH3 as well but im skint lol

Does singing count (since the voice is an instrument and all..LOL)

We'll I've been singing for about 15 years (longer if you count when I was little dancing around my living room...) I was in a band for a little bit, but then they broke up. It was a hell of a lot of fun while it lasted though. Now I just sing on my own

I'm also attempting to learn acoustic guitar. Attempting being the key word

acoustic is harder than electric..because the electric guitar is more "forgiving" ..so if you're attempting to try to play guitar ..i'd attempt the electric...

i play the piano...have don since i was six (so thats like 10 years). i got up to grade 6 but to get to grade 7 (officially) i had to do theory and i didn't really want to, and i couldn't find someone to teach me! of course after i'd done my GCSE's i found out that a GCSE in music would have been good enough...if i'd taken music (and i really wish i had!)
guess it doesn't really matter. i mean whats a qualification if can't even play! i don't need it!

but anyway, im also learning how to play the guitar (since last year)! which is something i've wanted to do for a long time! no grades though!

i also wanted to play the clarenet but i can't aford to buy one of those too! i just bought a brand new piano board (yamaha, very kool, silver...cost a lot!) and i want an electric guitar!
