I like the use of color in the first one, and the texture/gradient in the background is very nice.

if you're going for realistic portraits, I think you need to work on drawing shapes in proper proportion. your drawings are nice and are not dramatically off, but it's something I noticed when I first viewed them. try drawing or sketching both simple and intricate objects and getting them to look exactly as you see them, and just a lot of excercises drawing faces and hands and things. or what you could do is not go for a realistic approach, and try exaggerating features and making your mistakes more dramatic, if you're into that sort of art, that is... but this also might help you draw correctly as well.

another thing, that I just mentioned to someone else (and I tend to say a lot) is that you're using too many lines (especially on the hair). you need to focus more on shading than drawing outlines, since if you shade properly, you won't really need outlines (though outlining to start is never a bad idea). with hair, you just have to look at it as if it were any other feature or object, it has highlights and shadows and won't often have light spaces between hairs (since there is no light behind them).

try not to take this all in a negative way, I think you're a really good artist, I just trying to give any advice I can give to fellow artists. (and the more I look at that blue one, the more I really like it)

thank you for your comments and suggestions... i did that drawing awhile ago... i know it was before december... so for awhile, my drawing skills did improve... but alas, i haven't done anything in awhile... that goes for painting as well.. so i'm trying to get back into the swing of things... but thank you for your tips... i started 2-d classes 2 years ago, and if you would compare some of the shit i did before that, to shit i do now, you'd definately see a difference.. heh.. so i'm still working at getting better... i've always had a problem with proportions... hopefully your suggestions will help me with that.. thanks again..

I love your work, especially the second one.. I tried drawing that today, minus the hand.

And it's nowhere near as good as yours
Do you have a deviantart?

Keep up the good work!!

You're good at doing eye colours and stuff. But the sizes aren't right, for example, the two pupils in the first picture. Maybe try sketching over a picture first to get the sizes right, as that will help you with correctness in sizing and everything like that.

But, drawing is definately hard, and you're already lots better than I am! Keep going!

They're pretty cool! You have potential, but I definitely think you could work on proportion. The second one's good, but if you are going for a realistic approach in both, I think the cheeks need to be improved on. Your eyes were pretty good. I suck at eyes. Wow - you can actually draw noses too. I suck at noses also.

hi!
so.. let´s go..
the first pict remember M. Manson, doesnt it? ehhe
but i like that.. but i think u should work more at the smoothness... ok?
about the second one... i think there is some trouble with the fingers and the eye´s position - it seems to be inclined some degrees. and.. again about the smooth... - the mouth.. should give it more definition ok?
but i´s good!
i like
If you want, can give a look at my work HERE AT THIS LINK
