Thanks mate, I think it was $650.00 I was quoted for a stand unstained, I built mine for $400.00 but built it 3 times stronger than the one I was looking at. Believe it or not, there are 30 odd meters of 3x2 in the frame!!! Still got a long road ahead before I have a running tank though, so many bills just came in this week, I wont have any money to spend for a couple of weeks now

are you transfering your discus to it or you going with another setup?

I am going to put discus in it, 3 that I already have, and about 20 new ones, But I am concentrating on it being a high quality planted tank. I am a beginner at that aspect! I will be using co2 injection, and 4x150 watt metal halides, plus dosing daily with iron. I have read everything I could possibly read on the subject, Now it will come down to weather I can put it into practice or not!! I finished the top trim this weekend, heres a pic of that, I still have to make the light box, which I am hanging from the ceiling with gold chain. (I can tell you it took some convincing to get the wife to let me do it) I have got one of the filters, and one bag of substrate. I think I might have water in it in less than a month!!

are you going to cover the waterline at all or leave it open? If open be prepared for alot of evaporation
