My Lonely Angel

In the darkness I saw it, The light of the moon
The music was playing, but it would end soon
My angel beside me, watching my fate
Hoping and praying that it's not too late

The angel then said "Why choose this path?"
I looked up at her and I started to laugh
The pain was too much and I started to cry
I looked at my blade and I wondered why...

If I was the Angel, then I would have prayed
that the life inside of me would have just stayed.
As the blood flowed, I started to weep
And as the dark came, I wanted to sleep

I look back at that day and I wished it was gone
As I look back, what did I do wrong?
She looks over me and I can tell
She is still there, My Lonely Angel

That's awesome. I especially like the last two stanzas. Are you able to share exactly what it's about?

The last line is so beautiful. It just sounds so... dismayed. I love it.

Basically, It's a about someone who is going to commit suicide and goes through with it. As she is lying there with the blade in her hand, she looks up and sees an angel who is trying to help her and keep her safe until help arrives... even though she survives, she knows that her angel with always be there for her and watch over her...

I believe in Angels in terms of extremely divine entities encompassing positive energy forces, but not in the "halos and wings of gossamer glitter" sense either.
Still I believe it highly likely to have those forces intervene when what we are meant to do on this plane has yet to be accomplished.

In that instance I think they can take on many shapes and forms. Same goes for fallen angels just in the opposing sense.

It is very beautifully written, nevertheless. We all long to be saved in one way or another. Even if we don't admit to ourselves we are searching for that savior. Many find it in religon others music, writing, friends,a lover. Whatever its source it is constantly being sought.
