I'm sorry you'd a bad weekend Joe.
The poem you wrote is sad, but beautiful, though.

My Treacherous Colleagues
Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well. I have not posted much in the past year or so. I wrote this yesterday after a terrible experience at work. ...I work in an absolutely terrible gossip mill, why can't anyone mind their own business?
I helped me vent some internal anxiety. I even thought about posting it on the bulletin board on the wall at work. My Treacherous Colleagues Disguised as friends Vultures circle overhead Awaiting my demise To rejoice over my corpse With their mocking screech A merciless pack of wolves Watching for a moment of weakness Fails to disguise its malice Behind a pointed grin. Taunting in growling whispers Drooling fangs seek to devour their own kind. Like a hungry fox in the woods Ears turn to the slightest sound Of another’s misfortune He said, she said, Parasitic gossip feeders, You all know who you are. Joe |
