My Poetry

The Mirror That Is His Eyes

He stared into the mirror,
Not sure what to see,
Not sure what to expect,
He was looking at himself like an outsider.

His eyes, a crystal blue ocean,
His hair, a deep shade of brown,
His Smile radiant.
But something was missing.

He continued to stare,
His eyes straining for the truth,
But he couldn't find it,
Couldn't reach the source of the emptiness.

He searched within his heart,
Desperate to find the truth.
He felt it bleed,
He found his pain.

He was alone,
No one to share life with,
No one to care for,
No one to love.

His mind kept telling him it was ok,
But his eyes showed him the truth,
They were the window to his soul,
They were the keys to his heart.

How had he gone so long,
Never feeling love,
Always failing his relationships,
Always confronted by loneliness.

What was he doing wrong,
Why was torment his only friend,
Sorrow his only answer?
The mirror, that is his eyes, had spoken the truth.

He needed to change,
Start fresh,
And stop searching,
Let love come to him.

Could he do it?
His eyes told him yes,
His mind wavered over no,
His soul tried to stay neutral.

What should he believe,
His mind would always lie,
His soul would always hide,
But the mirror, that is his eyes, always spoke of honesty.

Post The Invisible Girl

The Invisible Girl

She sits on her bed,
waiting for something,
anything.

No one saw her,
looked right through her,
she was invisible to them all.

She called,
but no one answered,
no one heard her.

She began sobbing,
not knowing why she was ignored,
why everyone avoided her.

She walked out of her room,
and stormed out of the house,
but no one noticed her leave.

All around she called to everyone,
even shook a few,
but still she was invisible to them all.

This feeling of lonliness,
tormented her.
Why couldn't anyone give her any attention?

She wandered into her favorite thinking spot,
and found her answer,
She couldn't believe it.

She looked at the tombstone,
closed her eyes,
prayed that she was seeing things.

She opened them,
but the name stayed the same.
She sat and cried for hours.

Someone,
a man,
headed towards her spot.

He placed a boquet of roses,
his hands going right through her,
on the grass in front of the tombstone.

"Caroline"
he cried.
"You were alone in life, are you alone in death?"

She called to him,
whispered softly,
"I will never be alone, as long as you remember me."

Shattered Realities and Locked Away Truths

I don't know who to believe,
Who to trust.
It's a web of deciet from one point or another
And we are the only ones trapped,
In the web of lies that seems to bring us,
Wondering who is in deciet.

Failed attempts, so many tries,
With the people who hide behind all the lies.
Masks they wear, because they don't even care.
The truth, trapped within their hearts,
Filling those around them with such distrust.

They blame others, but can't have the heart,
To point the blame at themselves.
For they know the true pain that they place,
Upon us.
Victims of a sick game,
A battle to win over there hearts and minds.
Enemies of their non existent love.

Fascade and mask to fill the ocean of tears,
For it is so hard to breath and bare.
Their thoughts of mistrust absorb the rivers,
Of hurt.
And run through your veins like a river over,
A cliff.

Your body yearns to trust them, but your heart
Denies your true feelings, your brain forces
You to become hidden behind a wall.
To try to conquer the aches of a tormented Love for which you thought was true.

As above,
So below,
May I break free,
So I can end this pain,
And let them be.

To Get To Know You

Days have come and gone,
but a friendship like yours remains.
People come and go like the tide,
but you remain like a faithful pet.
Months evaporate like the dew in the summer,
and yet your friendship grows stronger.

At first when we met in August,
you seemed like the shy silent type.
But the more we talked and got to know each other,
the freer you became, and the more at ease you were.
The similarities between you and I are uncanny,
And yet you don't shy away like most.

I hope in the weeks, months and years to come,
our friendship grows into something more.
I see your smile at night,
and dream your mine.
I make jokes in the chatroom,
and yet I am serious in my mind.

To have the chance to know you,
has been a dream I don't want to end.
To have you accept me as a friend,
has been amazingly sweet.

When I am not talking to you,
I am talking about you.
I hope that one day I will be able to meet you,
and express my feelings for you in detail.

But for now, the chance to build a friendship,
has been a blessing in disguise.
I don't want to ruin a great thing,
like I have done many times before.
So I just want to thank you,
for giving me the chance to get to know you.

Really good stuff you have here, charmedone2006! I was really moved by "The Invisible Girl," especially this part:

Quote:
"Caroline"
he cried.
"You were alone in life, are you alone in death?"

She called to him,
whispered softly,
"I will never be alone, as long as you remember me."
I found a lot I could relate to in the work you have posted, so that definitely made me connect even more with your work. I hope you'll be sharing more of your stuff with us!

Thumbs up

Wao, MAN! That's lyrics!
I most enjoyed the first two.
The Invisible girl is the best. Makes you feel something.
And last one is a piece!
The first one is, hey, where to start the comment.

Quote:
He placed a boquet of roses,
his hands going right through her,
on the grass in front of the tombstone.

"Caroline"
he cried.
"You were alone in life, are you alone in death?"

She called to him,
whispered softly,
"I will never be alone, as long as you remember me."
F* man. i got the shivers. Almost as i would drop a tear or something..

Quote:
I don't know who to believe,
Who to trust.
You can trust the people, but dont believe them.
Quote:
As above,
So below,
May I break free,
So I can end this pain,
And let them be.
Thats the tough one. I hope, i even believe, you're on the right track.

Quote:
But for now, the chance to build a friendship,
has been a blessing in disguise.
I don't want to ruin a great thing,
like I have done many times before.
So I just want to thank you,
for giving me the chance to get to know you
S* man. thats great closure!

Quote:
So I just want to thank you,
for giving me the chance to get to know you
Man, you rock.

So..you're in some sort of jungle or desert..
I would be interesting to wonder/see if you break out free.
damn jungle and desert, noones there.
Would be interesting if you find the way out, or door out.

But even if you do.. the damn door will bo locked.
You've got a key by the time there? Dont bother. The key is probably all rusty. The door is probably all rusty. You would eventually got the door unlocked and got your self a shread of light, but you wouldn't be able to open it wide open. Theres only to hope that Someone outside will open it wide open for you.
**sorry** the last paragraph i was talking about myself.

So, exited to see what happens next in the movie of yours...

Another Poetic Adventure from Charmedone2006

Cry
I sigh,
Begging for an answer,
No one can hear me scream my utter silence.

I try,
Demanding to be loved,
No one can seal my fate but myself.

I cry,
Wishing the world didn't make such a big deal of the single life.
No one can ease my soul of it's pain.

I listen,
Answers swirling all around me,
I can't hear the world screaming back.

I torture,
Realizing it is me that is making the big deal,
My fate slowly coming into play.

I sing,
The world is my stage,
I can be who I want, and I am happy to say I am.

The Devil Within

Ecstasy,
The feeling I don't know how to describe,
Like floating in the heavens,
But yet burning with the devil within.

I used to be so pure,
But now am stained with experience.
My heart yearns for that special someone,
But my mind begs for the freedom of naivety.

I lived for the yester-years,
Instead of the presence and the tomorrows,
Don't try to fix me,
I'm not broken.

I am young,
inexperienced,
absurd,
denied.

Free me,
Let me desire,
Let me burn,
Let me learn.

A Soul Unworthy of Missing

The room fell silent,
all eyes focused on her,
even the mice seem to be still.

She hits the floor,
a thud echoed in the corridor,
and all begin cheering.

She begins to twitch,
but none of them moved,
they thought she was acting.

No one heard her muffled cry for help.
All were clapping at the performance,
as she took her last breath.

The theater went black,
her soul looked back at the body.
She screamed silently at the ignorance.

Four days, the news announced,
The angel of music was stolen from us,
but not a soul missed her.

No one mourned her death,
she left this world,
with less then she entered with.

Twelve years passed,
Her death survived in infamy.
The angel of music finally mourned.

Voice In The Crowd

He looked into the light,
but couldn't see a thing.
The boos drowning out his voice.

He stared into the crowd,
but couldn't see her.
She left him alone.

He turns, and leaves the stage.
the stench of defeat following him.
She had dissapointed him for the last time.

Then he heard it,
a voice in the crowd,
urging him not to give up.

He turned again,
scanned the crowd,
and saw an angel amongst the living.

She whispered softly,
but he heard every word.
He turned towards the stage again.

He spoke,
The words flowing easily.
Victory was in his grasp.

He went to find his angel,
but she was gone.
He knew he had to go on without her.

Each preformance,
he would look for her,
never seeing his muse.

Each night he thanked the heavens,
for the gift she sent to him,
And the words she softly spoke.

"Never give up" she said.
"I am inside of you,
your dreams, your fears and your hopes."

"You will never lose me" she promised.
"As long as you go on,
and believe in yourself."
