I have been thinking....And IMO.....
I have a feeling this will be Ev's last album.
Amy had been talking so much, about wanting to do
so many other things in her music career.
As well, there maybe one tour along with another album, but
I have a feeling it won't be anything like the OPEN DOOR tour.
But who really knows whats in store for Ev, they are always so
full of surprises, and we are never knowing what to expect.
To me, Ev is Always going to be Ev, no matter how many times
they may have to change band members.
They gave me such a memorie, that I never thought I would ever
been able to see, so for that, and many other reasons, I will
always support them in any kind of decsion they make.

First of all I'd like you guys to rememeber that Evanescence begun because of Amy Lee... Ben was important as well but if we look at the lyrics we'll see that most of them were written by Amy, as well as the music, if it weren't because of her Evanescence would never step into life (and success)...
When Ben left the band 4 years ago (I guess)... Everyone was waiting for the end of Ev, like they'd paly things like "my immortal" and that would be all about them and did they do? They released "Anywhere but home", and sometime ago, "the open door" which is faraway from "my immortal" kind of thing... She (Amy) said that "good enough" would disappoint a lot of people 'cause it's happy, it's beautiful and screams "I love you" with all letters, but we need to remember what she told us in "weight of the world": If you love me, then let go of me, I won't be held down by who I used to be... So all that sadness and unconscious (sensless) fear of being happy and never feel sad enough to write a beautiful song is gone... She found her missing pieces, I'm sOOOOO excited 'bout what she might bring in this next album which I don't believe it's gonna be a solo kind of thing... Evanescence is all that she's living for, since 1990 that's what has saved her from herself, I don't think she'd give it all up...

Just try to understand storms make us stronger and before being this great singer and poet thar she is... Amy is human just like all of us, whatever she did we all could have done in OUR OWN WAYS... We're actually drinking from lost sadness and pain, cause if she makes music as therapy, once it's done, it's (theorically) gone, so we're getting close and seeing ourselves in lost feelings... You know what I mean??? Well, I hope so... Anyway, that's it... Maybe they'll make us wait for a while, maybe we'll wait for years but we'regonna have some new and GOOD stuff from them, cause I can (almost) bet that Amy wouldn't give up all the history and meaning that are all around Evanescence and release a solo album... Come on, we're not talking about boy bands or things like that, we're talking 'bout Evanescence...

Please let me point out that if Ben hadn't approached Amy in the first place to form Evanescence, Amy would likely be a hermit, writing music only as therapy for herself about all the horrible things she's been through...it was Ben who asked her if she wanted to start a band with him, and it was Ben who tried to make sure that the songs they came out with were ones that people could easily listen to and relate to...call him "commercialized" and "mainstream" if you want, but he was, IMHO, the brains behind the operation, whether he wrote the majority of the lyrics or not.

Besides, we've all seen what happens when Amy is left to her own devices...she comes up with stuff that gets little to no airplay at all. Musical genius? Perhaps...but one could argue that a genius would figure out how to get a little more radio time for her more recent efforts.

I have to agree with you Julie.

It was All Ben, who actually started Evanescence in the first place.
I do believe, and always will, that Amy has such amazing talent and a very special gift.
As well I have to admit, that Ev hasn't really been the exact same, as to when they first offically became a band.
BUT.....No matter what, I will always support them, and stand by Amy.
I am going to look forward to, whatever Amy decides to do in the future.

i realllllly hope that evanescence comes out with a new album. i think that they are awesome. even though the open door album wasn't as good as Fallen, they are still an amazing band and i LOVE them. lol. Soo....she said something about coming back in 2 years and that her and the band wanted to take a 2 year break to spend time with their family. but she said she was looking forward to coming back and writing music again. so i guess we'll find out.

Yea Ben was the brain of operation? what are you talking about? Were you with Evanescence? You're like a forum member or something like that? Most of the lyrics were written by Amy and she's the lead singer so yea she was the brain behind the whole operation, anyone in the band is replaceable but Amy is not, simply because she's the one who sings, it's her voice that matters the most.

it's weird that you think he was behind the operation just because he suggested to Amy that they should start a band, i could say exactly the opposite, amy was talented and anyone could have noticed that, ben was lucky because he was the first who one who nitced that. now we both don't make sense.
