1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post?
Nope! But maybe that's because I never got to posting a thread in the Introduce Yourself Forum.. Who knows. ![]() 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? Nope, no questions yet! 3. If you have, how often do you PM? I've never PM'ed anyone yet, I've only been here a few days. Heehee. 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? I read through people's introductory threads, and I like how the committee is quick to reply to each one. As far as dislike goes, I don't think I've seen anything wrong with the committee I can complain about yet. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? I have the attention span of a warthog, and I've been able to read the FAQ in its entirety twice. Not only is it informative, but I actually think it's kind of interesting. The only reason newer posters might be breaking the rules is because they're not paying attention or they never got around to reading the FAQ. You guys are pretty much doing all you can. |

i'd say im a bit of a newbie:
1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post? Yup, PM 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? No, I've never PMed her. I felt a bit mean really... 3. If you have, how often do you PM? None times 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? It felt a bit full on suddenly having someone PM me the minute I came in. However, I think its a good thing for most people because this place can seem intimidating 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? This is hard to answer considering you guys' size. You mods seem to have a busy time and do a good job... I, in general, know how to act on a forum so it was all on the whole fine for me but I really tried to read that FAQ... my eyes died i think lol. Hmm... maybe having a short '5 points of EvBoard for Newbies' or something like that and have the welcome commitee copy/paste it on the end of the PMs for newbies could be an idea. ? ... maybe... |

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post? Yes
2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? Yes, I have asked questions when I needed to 3. If you have, how often do you PM? Only when I have a question, so not very often 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? I like the committee a lot, because they really help you get situated with what to do on the board. I don't dislike anything about it. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? I think how the board is educating the new posters is fine. |

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post?
Yes, she did. (Thanks for that) 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? No, I haven't PM'd anyone. I think I don't have any important questions for now. 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? It's nice to know there's somebody who can help you if you have problems or show you the right way if you do things the wrong way. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? I think what's already done is more than enough. I have some experience from other boards, but even if I fell from Mars, I would be able to educate myself with all that information for newbies. |

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post?
yes, a kind pm ^^ 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? no questions yet 3. If you have, how often do you PM? never did 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? i like they are very kind and there to help, but in other forums every member can welcome the newbies, that's nice, but i guess it makes a lot of post and a bit of confusion, so i don't really dislike this. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? i don't think so, even if i wouldn't know what a board is i would have no questions, the faq are so clear ![]() |

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post?
Yes, through PM. 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? Yes, I think twice I had a question, and both times they were answered quickly & clearly. ![]() 3. If you have, how often do you PM? I haven't had any need to PM again, so not really often. 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? I like that it's quick and you have someone to ask without feeling like too much of a n00b. That way people aren't worried about getting jumped on for asking a n00bish question, cuz it's through PM and not on a thread. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? Nope, the FAQ explains most of it, and then you have the welcoming committee for anything more specific, so there's not much more else you can do! ![]() |

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post? yes
2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? I PMed once 3. If you have, how often do you PM? I usually don't, just that rare case regarding posts. 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? I think it's a bit better then not having one, this way people who are completely lost know they have someone to give answers to their questions. 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? um, I think everything is pretty well covered.

1. Has your welcoming committee member introduced you either by PM or introduce yourself post?
Both (thanks WildAngel) 2. Have you ever PM'd your welcoming committee member if you've had any concerns? How many times can you remember actually PMing about any questions to the committee? Not yet, I just responded to the pm I was sent. It was just normal chit chat so far. The FAQ is pretty explicit as to what to do, so I really haven't had any questions yet. 3. If you have, how often do you PM? Once so far, like I said it was just a thanks and a bit of chatter. 4. What do you like about the committee? What do you dislike about the committee? Do you have an opinion at all? It's nice feeling welcomes, the warm and fuzzy feeling that the Doom hamster brings is nice. I like it because you get to know people faster. I have no dislikes so far, Everyone has been nice to the n00blet ![]() 5. Do you feel that more should be done in educating the newer posters (ie, you) on the board? If so, how? No, people just need to learn how to read and pay attention! You set the rules out in plain type, it's really not that hard to read through a few FAQ pages.
