Omnibus Press Presents The Story of Evanescence

I know that this was mentioned in the 'Yet another hot topic exclusive' thread, but it's available in most large bookstores (in addition to HT) and really is worth noting.

This 96 page detailed account of Ev's history is nothing really new to a seasoned fan of the band, but it does compile a lot of information that you'd normally have to search all over for. It has a ton of B&W in addition to a middle section with 8 full pages of color photos of the entire band.

I thought I knew a lot about Ev, but I did learn a few things reading it. The back has a timeline and a pretty extensive discography (it left out tons of demos, but you cn't expect them to include that). It could've waited until the band started to ease off in their career before being made...meh...it's pretty cool.

I wish I could just go up to the band members (specifically David, Ben, Amy, John, Rocky, and Will) about the band's earlier days and their histories, specifically so that there is more detailed info than we already know.

Doubt it's possible, but I'd be all for it, that's for sure

Um, who wrote this one? Is it William Earle, or...It was listed at Amazon.ca as written by him, but I looked him up, and he's just talking about Peri-phenomenological Essays... Then there's also The Search for Meaning and Identity in Japanese Culture...I won't even get into the French stuff Clarification would be greatly appreciated

Yup, i got this book and posted in the HT thread. But yeah, good book, i think at least like 8 color pictures including one or two that i hadn't seen, so it was nice. It does spend time on the whole band too, not just Amy, so i was happy about that. Nothing really that i didn't know, but it's worth getting just to complete your ev collection.

The ultimate evanescence autoboiography...perhaps in a few years when they get arround to writing books more than music

Someone by the name of Simon Moore wrote it. Well, he compiled quotes from about 50 sources and explained them, but that's who is credited as writing it.

Wow, I JUST bought the book a couple hours ago when I went to the mall. Hot Topic has it and so do the book stores. I saw it at Walden Books first, so I got it there just in case Hot Topic didn't have it when I went there later on, but they had it too. Book stores will have it in the bands/singers section. I can't wait to read it though. I skimmed through it for a moment and noticed all the awesome pics that I haven't ever seen before...

Hugz,
Jessy

I honestly didn't know anything about this, so thanks for posting this. I'll have to check out a few bookstores on Wednesday and see if I can find it. Yet another Ev item that I'll be buying, if I can find it.
