Origin.. Greater album than fallen?

Same here. I love the songs on Origin. They're darker. I like Whisper on Origin a little more than the one on Fallen. Both are gReAt, but I love Amy's vocals in the other one. My favorite song is Lies. Though I was wondering...I know how Stephanie Pierce did some vocals in it, but which part is her??? I think I'm really dumb, but yeah, I just had to ask.

In the intro, does Amy start singing first, and THEN Stephanie does the other part of the intro??? Jw...

FALLEN is soooooooooooooooooooooo much better than ORIGIN!!

On Fallen, I absolutely love every single song ... except Hello - which is just ok.

On Origin, I absolutely love: Imaginary/Origin Version, Away From Me, My Immortal, Lies, Anywhere & Where Will You Go.
As for the other 3 songs: Whisper/Origin version & Even In Death is ok. I don't like Field Of Innocence at all.

Overall I just plain out prefer Fallen.

Don't get me wrong..I absolutely love Origin, it's just I think Fallen sounds much better and the songs are better too. The only song I didn't really like on Fallen was My Immortal. It's not that I didn't like the song...I really really love the song, it's just they shouldn't have used that particular version for Fallen. It just didn't fit with the rest of the songs. It didn't have the same sound. Amy's voice was different too. They really shoud've used the Mystary version like they originally intended...Darn Wind-Up

When I started liking Evanescence, before I knew about Origin or that they had any old stuff, and I got Fallen, I always felt that My Immortal felt kind of misplaced. haha I even burned a different copy of Fallen with the Band Version of My Immortal in place of the Fallen version.

But I mean all of the songs on Fallen were so good! Imaginary was much better than it was on Origin, come on now. Although I did like the piano introduction

The only beef I had with Whisper is that Ben used the same exact solo for every version. A little variation never hurt anybody

Origin to me is a softer album than Fallen anyhow. I like hard stuff personally. However my favorite songs on Origin are probably Anywhere and Feild of Innocence..but I really love Away From Me. I really love almost all of their soft songs..like Missing, Breathe No More, My Immortal, Before The Dawn, Forgive Me... I think Before The Dawn is a very good song actually. That should be on an album lol. I dunno it's a rough choice to make. But I still say I probably like Fallen better.

According to him, it would've been one he'd wanted in Fallen; just didn't fit in with it.

Even in Death and Field of Innocence would be my favorite Origin tracks, but on the whole, there are some days when Origin fits my mood more than Fallen or vice versa. Can't say I outright like one more than the other; in an ideal world, they'd both be multi-platinum albums

Origin was unique, it had it's own feel, it's own sound, and it just worked, there was nothing wrong with it. Fallen hasn't got it's own unique sound, there are some pretty dull, lifeless tracks on it, and it just doesn't work overall. Fallen is a good album, no doubt about it, it's better then anything any other band could put out. But Origin is even better.

I couldn't agree more. When a band becomes mainstream their music goes downhill

origin cant be a better album because its not an album, its just demos, dont know if someone said that already.. (*not trying to flame anyone just pointing it out*) but between the two discs, i would say Origin

I've allready posted which I thinks better - Fallen. What this post is about is why I like or dislike songs from Fallen, i'll do an Origin one later. Make a thread a bit more interesting!
Fallen
Going Under - Really good backing instrumental music and I believe it's very dark.
Bring Me To Life - Everyone knows why this is a good song and words cannot describe it.
Everybody's Fool - It has a good and not oftenly used message which many bands cannot do. It's mostly the lyrics that count in this song.
My Immortal - I'll represent Fallen with the Band Version of this song as it's newer and different to the Origin version - The sudden explosion of instruments at the end is incredible both on tv and live. Hearing this live is one of the best things you can hear, it's great

Haunted - It has a good storyline hidden in it as Ben told us about.
Tourniquet - This song is just brilliant although not even being an Evanescence original. It's my 2nd favourite Evanescence song (first being Farther Away). Gotta like it.
Imaginary - Alot better intro on Fallen version
Taking Over Me - It's another really good live one and I can't Imagine any Origin song being really good live except 'Lies' and 'Whisper'.
Hello - Boring and slow. Sorry if you really like it.
My Last Breath - Sounds to much like Taking Over Me for some reason but I still enjoy listening to it.
Whisper - Incredible on your hi-fi and even more incredible live. Were not talking about live songs though, we're talking about album songs. Anyway...Whisper is a brilliant song and is one of the best but the Origin version beats it.

Songs like Going Under, Haunted, My Last Breath, Bring Me To Life, and others prove Amy and the band have gown a lot lyrically since Origin...
