I agree! I cant choose which is better. Both are great and very different.
Most of the Origin's songs are softly, I like them very much but Fallen ones have better guitars and v good lyrics.
I love both albums, and sure the next will have new things and will be as great as Origin and Fallen

I much prefer Origin. Fallen is just too polished for me. It took away some of the edginess of the band. Plus Origin is more varied.

I think that Origin is the better album. It better shows off A) Ben's skills at industrial music and B) David's vocals. I love both albums, but Origin is just...well, I don't know what else makes it so damned good, it just is. Incredible.

I haven't heard all of Origin either. Lies was the first non-Fallen track; I had Fallen, but I downloaded a homemade music video using Lies. Honestly I did not think it was Evanescence!

I like old, pre-Fallen Evanescence, and Fallen Evanescence equally, I think, but for different reasons, but if I had to choose, I just might choose Origin because the older songs have a certain quality to them.

I'm actually getting into Nightwish now, and they're closer to my kind of music than Ev... can't deny the brilliance of that band's guitar work. It makes me think of Iron Maiden. I'd like to hear Evanescence try to do "End of All Hope"... I can't get enough of that song!

I heard MOST of the Origin songs (with the exceptions being Whisper and Imaginary as I didn't want to be spoiled as to what they'd sound like before buying Fallen) before I bought Fallen... and loved all of them... and when Fallen came out (keep in mind it came out 4 weeks later in Canada, and I'd been getting TONS of hype about the album from friends online) I was frankly disappointed in it.

Strangely enough, I've never made an "Origin Mix"... in other words my own CD with the track order off that CD (since I'll never own an original *sigh*). I'm sure if I actually did, I'd gain an even greater appreciation of how awesome it was.

I guess Fallen seems too... similar from song to song, at least with a lot of them, and also seems too polished for my liking.
